Hi everyone! I want to know if these shoes are in any good value or just keep them? I bought these Adidas Nitrocharge 1.0 In Vivid Red in 2013 and was used once and kept it, just have dust on it. No visible glue or separation that i see so far. Looking to see how much i can sell them for?

Struggling to find good turf shoes. Got the Tiempo Ligera Pros and they feel good length wise but really cramped on the sides. Considering Mundial Team or Morelia Neo IV AS. Anyone have good experiences with these? I have copa sundials, which are really comfortable, but feel a little sloppy—worried about that being the case with the mundial team.

Hello All,
I am more of an adidas predator type but recently started playing again. I picked up a pair of Kobe’s that I liked and mostly cuz I am a Kobe fan but today I felt like I robbed. I got these boots for 61.xx and I am just impressed on the come up and the fee of them.
Are these good boots? I assume yes based on retail but I don’t really know. Either way I am going to try and see but just wanted to share.

I've been watching some replays of Cubarsi passing and noticed these semi long range passes that he does from time to time. Is this a driven pass or inside foot push pass? It's a little hard for me to tell because he gets a lot of range on it and it stays mostly on the ground.

I have been looking for this soccer ball for years ever since the one I had just wore down entirely (the one on the pic is a random google photo i found). I've had it since I was like 10. It's my favorite design ever, but Adidas, DICKS, Academy, etc does not hold it. I have looked at local stores that have soccer ball replicas since the 2000s and even they don't hold it. Im considering it getting it custom made but have mo clue where to start or if potentially there is someone out there who is selling it. Any and all help is appreciated, thank you!!

Hi,
I struggle with my first touch, particularly regarding my body orientation and the positioning of my hips. I also feel like I make contact with the ball either too early or too late while I’m turning my body; as a result, the ball either gets past me or doesn't end up where I want it for my next move.
Any tips or solo exercises, please?
Thanks.

Any recommendations for crew length socks similar in thickness to the Adidas Metro socks? A little more durability would be nice, too. Not concerned with covering shin guards as these are for kicking around and pickup only. Thanks in advance!

The Nike Mercurials from 2016/17 and Hypervenom Phantom 3 Elite from 2017/18 were the perfect boots for me. Everything clicked: the upper grip, comfort, traction, lockdown and, most importantly, the feeling when striking the ball.
From what I understand, Nike used Teijin-engineered uppers during that era. Since they went their separate ways, I’ve personally felt that Nike’s upper quality and feel have declined, particularly after 2021.
I’ve struggled to find that same feeling ever since.
Here’s what I’ve tried:
● Adidas X Crazyfast (triple white): The upper felt too plasticky and flimsy. It simply wasn’t for me.
● Nike Mercurials (2024/25): Far too grippy, especially on 4G pitches. When dribbling or pushing the ball forward, it would catch on the upper, and I’d repeatedly trip over it. I lasted around 3–5 games before switching and when I did switch, I never once tripped over the ball again (I knew I wasn’t bugging)
● Nike Phantom: A massive improvement. Lockdown was decent but toebox comfort weren’t ideal, but I made them work and finished the season with 24 goals and 8 assists across all competitions.
● Mizuno Morelia Neo IV Beta: Loved the kangaroo leather, comfort and touch. However, the softer feel seemed better suited to a midfielder. As a forward, I wanted a more immediate, responsive connection when striking the ball.
● Mizuno Alpha III: Excellent for striking and better suited to my game, but the toebox was uncomfortable and lockdown wasn’t convincing during lateral movements. I also found the studs quite aggressive on certain pitches, making me uncomfortable with the rotational traction, particularly given the risk of twisting an ankle.
So, F50 or Superfly?
The newer Nike Mercurial Superfly has caught my attention again because I hope it might recapture the magic of the 2016/17 generation.
However, the newer Adidas F50 also looks appealing, particularly with its seemingly softer, more accommodating upper compared with the Crazyfast I tried.
Has the F50 now overtaken the Superfly for upper feel, ball control and overall performance, or does Nike still have the edge? More importantly, which is closer to the older Mercurials and Hypervenom Phantom 3 Elite?
As a forward, I’m looking for:
● A direct, responsive and satisfying feel when striking the ball.
● An upper with enough grip for control, but not so much that the ball catches instead of gliding naturally.
● Good lockdown during acceleration and lateral movements.
● A comfortable toebox and reliable traction on 4G pitches.
I’m not necessarily chasing the lightest boot. I want that combination of comfort, touch, responsiveness and traction where everything just clicks.
What about professional players?
I’ve noticed Pedro Neto switching from Mercurial Vapors to Adidas F50s. João Pedro, one of my favourite strikers, wears F50s too, as does Ousmane Dembélé.
It makes me wonder what attracts these players to the F50. Is it personal preference, fit, performance or sponsorship arrangements? And for those who stick with Mercurials, what makes them prefer the Superfly over the F50?
I know professional players have different needs, and sponsorship can influence what we see, but I’m curious whether the F50 offers something the Mercurial doesn’t.
For anyone who’s tried both the current F50 and Superfly:
Which has the better upper feel, striking responsiveness and dribbling experience?
Which is closer to the 2016/17 Mercurials and 2017/18 Hypervenom Phantom 3 Elite?
Has the newer F50’s softer upper made a meaningful difference compared with the Crazyfast?
Have the newer Mercurials improved in terms of that overly grippy upper, particularly on 4G?
Which would you personally buy in my position, and why?
I’d especially appreciate opinions from people who’ve worn both the older and newer generations. Are the F50 or Superfly worth buying to recapture that old-school feeling, or should I look elsewhere with a different recommendation?

After a 4 month wait they have arrived. It’s going to hurt playing in them.
The Nike Zoom Mercurial Superfly 11 Elite FG CR7 Gold Scorpion celebrates Cristiano Ronaldo becoming the first player in history to score in six separate World Cup tournaments, arriving as the second of two golden tributes Nike created to mark the historic achievement. Metallic gold overlays nearly the entire FlyWeave Ultra upper, interrupted by white through the forefoot, tongue, laces, and collar lining, while a large red Swoosh sweeps down the lateral side with matching red visible beneath the boot through a translucent soleplate. A scorpion emblem placed near the heel ties the design directly back to Nike's iconic 2002 Secret Tournament campaign, a moment that helped define an entire era of Nike Football's cultural identity.

I see a lot of posts on here that ultimately all could be grouped under the umbrella idea of how best to improve having been a late starter/late bloomer in football. I have coached at a number of clubs, professional and schoolboys at high level in Ireland, with a decent career in and out of semi professional football myself having not been blessed with natural technique myself. Having both coached players who have gone on to full national representation and everything in between the best - non person/player/position specific advice I can give anyone is the following.
- You need to play small sided games as often as possible, ideally 5 aside with walls around the pitches at first. You need to get as many touches on the ball as possible in a fast paced, dynamic non stop play environment.
- You ABSOLUTELY need to as often as possible, play with players better than you. If you are among the better players in your game, you need to find a new game. It will be embarrassing and you will suffer for a while, but your touch and passing, at speed under pressure, will never develop otherwise.
- If you get the chance to play with Spanish/Brazilian/Argentinian players or any country that plays Futsal, that will massively help your understanding of the mechanics of the game and how to find spaces on the pitch before you receive the ball.
- Once you start getting better at having the ball fired in to you at pace and not having it bounce off you, or passing with pace and accuracy without losing the ball very often (choice of pass here too) then start adding in 7 aside games. Here youll be able to add an element of tactical development because the game moves a bit slower but still with lots of touches.
- You are not 'a position' until youre playing competitive 11 aside. If youre playing SSG dont ever try to just play in one part of the pitch all the time. Find spaces where you can get the ball the most times and learn different ways to adapt to where you are in relation to teammates and opposition.
- When youre feeling comfortable at 7 aside level (never stop playing 5 aside once a week min) then you can try 11 aside..but understand, very very little football development happens at 11 aside. Its the competitive part of football. Getting better happens when youre free to touch the ball as much as possible and make mistakes. in 11 aside you will be asked to do tactical things, with the technical ability you already have. 11 aside even at amateur level, isnt really about developing technically, its about developing game awareness or winning.
People that do individual work on their footwork, agility, and touch if possible through wall play, cones or the spring walls will definitely develop quicker.

I was taking shots the other day at training when they asked us to do some shots from far away. Naturally I tried to do a laces shot I could not hit it with my ankle locked or with my laces, I just did it with my toe or hit the floor. Any tips?

I play inverted LB, amateur. Today I was watching some skill clips, then messing around with a ball, and I thought of this play:

The "fake pass" part could be implemented by, for example, simulating a simple passing motion but then not hitting the ball at all, instead the foot will hover over the ball.
At that moment the feet will be in a perfect position to perform an L-drag or chop, which would escape pressure and unexpectedly convert a boring/predictable play into a chance for progression.
What do you think - sounds like a practical idea? I couldn't find any clips of fake backpasses (I did find a different dribble similarly named, which wasn't relevant).

I'm trying to do more video review with a U14 player I coach. The problem is every recording we have, phone, tripod, doesn't matter, follows the ball. Which means I can only review what a player does when they're near the action.
For attackers that's fine. For a center back or a 6 who's doing most of their important work 40 yards from the ball, the footage is basically useless. Defensive shape, positioning between the lines, when to step vs drop, none of that shows up because the camera is pointing at the other end of the field.
Has anyone found a way to actually get footage of what a specific player is doing across a full 90, not just their on-ball moments?

Hi everyone!
I’m considering buying the Sokito Scudetta Kaizen AG and would appreciate feedback from anyone who has actually worn them.
A few questions:
Any real-world experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have a pair of the above, and snapped a lace last week, I bought a pair of laces from Prodirectsoccer, but the end of them is to thick so I cant lace them. Has anyone found anywhere that sells thin tipped laces online?

Currently, on FG I wear the Nike Mercurial Vapor Pro 16, and indoors the Nike Lunargato II both in US 9.
However, all my sneakers are in US 8.5, as that is my usual regular size.
I was thinking of getting the Mizuno Morelia Neo V Beta Elite for AG...
How good is the AG version of the boots? Would you recommend them?
If so, what size?
Thanks, and sorry if this gets asked a lot

I have always sucked at kickups, like I couldnt even do 3, and at some point I realized I need to get good at them, so I set a goal of 100, then in May, I started grinding for only about 30m a day. Progress was slow, 5 here and 10 there, but then when the World cup happened I locked in and trained for about 4 hours each day. Then I got 27, then progress slowed down but I eventually got 49, and then one day juggling I got 104. I kept getting high numbers , 75, 80 ,100, then I got 128. so after 5 months, I am now a not so shit soccer player

Nike CTR360 Maetri II's
These things are so comfortable. I don't get to play much these days now that I'm 40 but they still look great for their age. I have a second pair that I ordered by accident and have never worn 🤣

Hello everyone, the bottom part of my mizuno boots is torn like this in the picture.
Should I use super glue to repair it or SOF SOLE Shoe Glue from Amazon to repair it?
I heard that the shoe glue is good for flexible parts that need to bend, but I don’t know if this part of the shoe needs to bend so maybe super glue is better.
I was thinking the super glue would be better but I’m not sure, please help me.
