Having to edit all the bad stuff of hotel reviews for Hotels UK before they accept the review :-(

Another refusal to publish objective and well written reviews because they’re too negative. I’ve upgraded a hotel from a 1/5 to a 3/5 and removed half of the text and now it’s been published.

Most of my reviews are 5/5 but a few are genuinely 1 or 2 and they never get published. What’s that about?!

People hacking and coughing a few feet behind you on the bus, then giving you a weird look

why do people have to insist on sounding like they have a death rattle, HUEAFRGH hocking and slurping up spittle everywhere, bring up your phlegm loudly when you're not on the bus dckheads

guy did it the other day and then when I looked at him he gave me the weirdest smile, not sure if he's special or just a weirdo

I invited a Deliveroo rider in for a cup of tea

It's blowing an absolute gale outside and pitch black, so I felt awful for him. But it was probably the most awkward thing that has ever happened to him in his job 😅😱 pretty sure he thought I was asking for a booty call until I introduced my husband within seconds.

I thought I was being nice but now I am suffering deep British embarrassment.

ETA: I was ordering household staples from a supermarket, not fancy takeaway.

Driving test wait times putting so much more pressure on me than the actual test 😭

My driving test is in febuary, which I booked in August, and I'm honestly more worried about the 5-6 month wait for another test than failing the test.

The idea of being told I failed and knowing I won't get another test for another 6 months just pains me, and I get anxious every day thinking about it.

I want to pass so much.

The system needs a change. When my older relatives did their test it was a 3-4 week wait for another test, so if you failed, it was annoying but you could just re do it in 3 weeks time, whereas nowadays that's just not possible. ( unless you get extremely lucky and get an earlier test)

My rant/everyday worry.

And they look at me like I've gone mad. Walk time was an hour ago, Dad.

To be fair though they look at me like that all the time.

Music on the radio is ridiculously depressing right now.

Every time I put the radio on, it’s the same cycle of:

🎵 Stoooooop the weddingggg!

And

🎵 Patient zeroooo-oh

(Slow, depressing beat)

Are there genuinely no fast, exciting, upbeat songs being released at the moment? Everything seems so slow, moody and miserable.

Feels like the UK could do with a few songs that actually make you want to get up and do something!

Why are fragrance free products more expensive and harder to get

I just want one *less* ingredient.

Asthma eczema migraines and allergies dictate that fragranced products are not my friend. Plenty of people have one or more of these issues, it’s hardly an anomaly.

If I need shower gel, hand wash, household cleaners, washing up liquid etc, its never as simple as popping on UberEats, to the corner shop / Sainsbury’s Local etc. I have to trek to a big store in person to rummage through shelves of heavily scented items to find the few that aren’t, or do an online shop and hope they dont swap out my items for something smelly. Because apparently its niche to want unfragranced?

And dont even get me started on the price and scarcity of laundry detergents that dont make your clothes stink like an explosion in a knockoff perfume factory.

One. Less. Ingredient. Sans Parfums!

Meh.

Vertical strips of wood with black in between them

Yes, they look alright and they’re fashionable. But they’ll be deeply unfashionable in about 6 years.

I’ll buy new trousers, but you’re not getting me to redecorate my house any more often than is strictly necessary. It’s a pain in the arse and it costs loads of money.

Everyone blocking everyone at the petrol station

In Manchester, and I'm charging my car. It's an Esso garage which also has some EV chargers on the forecourt.

When I got here, people were parked across the EV bays, and one of the bays had someone sitting in a diesel van in it, idling. Thankfully one left that I could use.

Now someone in a Porsche Macan EV has turned up and is blocking a petrol pump!

Not even like there isn't space in the regular car park bit either. But that would be like 10m further to walk.

I thought people were supposed to be nice up here!

Cadburys UK is crap. Austraila boycotted and got the old recipe back.

2.0k Upvotes

Can we all just do an Austrailia and boycott cadburys?

It's a shadow of its former self after replacing the cocoa butter for palm and shea.

They made the same change in Austrailia, and they got their cocoa butter back in the recipe within weeks.

If the UK were to boycott this close to christmas, it'd tank their sales.

I'm in the south east and it's not as bad as everyones making out, yes, there are high winds here and rain, but everyone is acting like we're experiencing a category 5 hurricane.

You want to see a REAL storm? Go to America.

Do ripped ones even count?

Edit to add : seems most of you just freestyle it ! It’s a level of decadent lifestyle I’d hither-too never imagined! But I’m gonna give it a go, Christ I’m rushing just thinking about it!

Trying to leave a supermarket with heavy stuff two chuggers blocking the way

One exit and they had two chuggers pondering anyone exiting the supermarket

Why do supermarkets allow this and is this some form of ploy to force people to speak to them

EVs getting parking spaces closer to the supermarket

Why do EV owners get spaces closer to the shop entrance. We've already got disabled spaces, spaces for people with children and spaces for click and collect. I'm sick of it.

Where is my 'I've got a hangover, it's raining and I dont want to park up the back of the car park' space?

Im applying for jobs in a public library, and it's just as loud as a coffee shop

With the maintenence, people's phones not on silent, and a woman having a phone call like it is a coffee shop. Long are the days of a quiet public space. I'm having to play liquid dnb in my headphones to be able to concentrate
