There’s this grrrrr noise coming from my 2016 Honda City. Is my CVT transmission cooked? 😭

When we drained and refilled the CVT fluid, we found metal flakes in the old fluid. The car still drives smoothly, though. No delays, no jerking, just the noise.

What should I expect going forward? Is my CVT likely to fail soon, or is there still a chance it’ll be okay? Has anyone experienced something similar with their Honda City?

I bought my Suzuki APV from a dealership in my province. Just a few months after purchase, I noticed excessive wear on the inner side of the left front tire.
I reported it several times, and the dealership eventually replaced the tire for observation. However, the problem kept coming back. They repeatedly blamed wheel alignment and referred me to their recommended shop, but the issue was never permanently resolved.
Now, the unit is not even 5 years old, and I may have to replace the tires again. I suspect there could be an underlying mechanical issue or possible factory defect, but I still haven’t received a clear explanation.
When I reported it again, the dealership said they could repair it, but I would have to pay for the repair. I asked them to review my previous complaints and emails, but the manager who handled my case has already transferred, and apparently, they have no record of the previous tire replacement.
I use this vehicle for business, so the recurring expenses and inconvenience are frustrating. I’m also finishing my installment payments this January.

Then, when payment is due, they start lowballing you on items they've already taken, leave you on seen, or simply stop responding. Meanwhile, their social media remains active, and the spending on new parts and upgrades seems to continue as usual.

Of course, appearances do not tell the whole financial story. But there is a difference between genuinely struggling financially and repeatedly prioritizing discretionary spending over existing commitments. The real issue is not how much someone earns or what they choose to buy, but whether they honor their word and communicate honestly when circumstances change.

What's particularly amusing is that their approach to making payments seems remarkably similar to their driving on track. Absolutely horrendous consistency, questionable judgment, and seemingly no intention of improving their lines. 💀

And then they wonder why a particular group of people, whom I've known since the early 2000s, has never quite opened the door to them. Perhaps the answer is less complicated than they think. Being accepted into an established community is not just about having the right car, knowing the right people, or projecting the right image. It is also about trust, credibility, and how you conduct yourself when other people extend you a favor.

You can build a car with money and bolt on credibility with appearances, but neither is a substitute for character. 😁

We have a 2008 Toyota Corolla Altis with manual transmission na natambak lang sa bahay at matagal nang walang gumagamit. Goods pa raw yung makina pero marami na rin issues, like hindi gumagana AC, stuck na windows, may squeaking sound sa manibela, laging nadidischarge ang battery, and other possible issues.

I suggested selling it na lang, pero ayaw pa ni mommy dahil may sentimental value sa kanya ang car.

For now, I’d like to hire a trusted and reliable mechanic sana who can inspect the car, identify the issues, and provide an estimate of the repair costs para ma-assess namin kung worth it pa bang ipaayos or mas practical nang ibenta as is at kung magkano pa mabebenta.
