this is all personal opinion. i like to eat cereal. a lot of these were tried for the first time and i wanted to share with my cereal eating homies on this reddit.

kashi maple waffle bites - healthy cereal so it makes sense, but pretty much tasteless. i heard other kashi was better. didnt enjoy.

kashi go fiber - my girlfriend loved this. too hard for me though. good, healthy and very filling.

golden grahams - its simple but really i think this is just the maltomeal smores but with all the swag and power ripped away. did not like at all.

motts cinnamon - when i was a kid my grandpa had motts for tots apple juice in his crib. this was a core memory and i had to grab this. it was pretty good, you can taste both apple and cinnamon perfectly but not too much. good stuff

three wishes cinnamon - honestly i think this one was terrible. reminds me of magic spoon, which i also think is terrible. has that nasty fake cinnamon/sugar/cinnamon bun flavor.

count chocula - the count himself has never let me down. he started this journey. i have always liked count chocula, and since you cant have it all year its more enjoyable. he never overstays his welcome.

maple frosted flakes - were pretty good. i would say better than normal frosted flakes but cinnamon maple is a very me flavor so if u dont like brown they might be worse. i also dont particularly like normal frosted flakes.

cookie crisp & waffle crunch maltomeal - both were fire but waffle crunch was better

krave - lowkey a W classic cereal, very good but demure and doesnt feel fat and disgusting. W vitamins and minerals W iron W whole grain. but since krave is deceivingly demure the cereal milk lowkey sucks and thats the only thing that keeps it out of S tier. since the chocolate is inside the cereal the cereal milk just tastes like the outside grain wheat cereal part.

malt-o-meal smores - the goat... the icon... the legend... the hype... the moment... the aura... i just got chills typing this. the paddington of cereal. like poetry and motion. some things are meant to be. some things are destiny.

• SS, Ultra Super Cereal Tier: smores malt o meal. if cereal came to an end, I'd wish for this to be the only one left. W nutrition, W taste, W marshmallow, chocolate, and graham combo. like cinnamon toast crunch but injected with swag and beauty. get me a cereal with all the wonders of earth. get me a cereal with the beauty of the stars. get me a cereal without evil. get me a cereal with love and kindness. get me a malt o meal smores complete with a large bag and low price compared to other brands.
• S tier: count chocula, kashi go protein fiber honey almond
• A tier: cinnamon maple frosted flakes... okay we see you tony... and waffle crunch malt and krave
• B tier: motts apple cinnamon, cookie crisp D tier: kashi maple waffle bites
• F tier: golden grahams
• FF: three wishes cinnamon

Notably, the boxes say these are peppermint-flavored marshmallows, so don't expect the Oreo Puffs themselves to carry any peppermint flavor. 

Smell-wise, it's about identical to regular Oreo Puffs: a mildly sweet, semi-dark corn cereal. There are a good number of Oreo Puffs and not so many small marshmallows — the ratio isn't great; in fact, I didn't get any marshmallows on my first bowl pour! These marshmallows are colored a mix of pastel pink and white. 

Regarding taste, the Oreo Puffs themselves have no peppermint flavor; instead, they have a mildly sweet, cocoa-like cereal corn taste. Not as dark or sweet as an Oreo cookie, to say the least, or as sweet to write home about. Lastly, they are somewhat rough and crunchy.

After finding a few of the marshmallows and trying them out, I find they actually punch above their weight, especially compared to regular cereal marshmallows. Sure, they're small, but they are decently sweet and provide an authetic candy cane flavor alongside generic cereal marshmallow. It's not as punchy or sweet compared to a regular candy cane by any means, but if you grab a handful, it will certainly be much stronger than you may anticipate.

When I combine the marshmallows with the cereal (without milk)--again, to note, there are barely any marshmallows, so I really had to seek them out--I find it's a decently tasty combination for the most part. The cereal, together, doesn't come across as too sweet and rocks a semi-dark, cocoa-like flavor with a mild peppermint and corn cereal background. Unfortunately (or not), this cereal remains 95% regular Oreo Puffs unless you deliberately combine several marshmallows with the puffs to enrich it some with peppermint.

In milk, the cereal remains mostly crunchy, and I find that the chocolate comes out more, and the cereal as a whole starts to really resemble the cookie portion of an Oreo: a richly dark, mildly sweet cookie taste. The cereal corn flavor is also reduced slightly. However, even when I deliberately added more marshmallows to my bowl, that peppermint taste was hardly there--the marshmallows were even so small they looked like they dissolved instantly! Lastly, the cereal milk received only a tiny bit of the overall Oreo Puffs flavor, leaving it mostly plain.

Essentially, you're just getting a regular Oreo Puffs-tasting cereal. If you were blindfolded, you likely wouldn't even notice any peppermint or candy cane anything.

This absolute bargain was spotted recently at a Grocery Outlet of course. It's by Kellogg so there's a small chance it might be decent.... shoot maybe I will take a gamble and pick some up.

Life long cereal enthusiast here, I tend towards the simple classics; corn flakes, chex, crispix, cheerios, plain shredded wheat, etc etc.

Over the past couple years I have noticed substantial changes in all my go toos. Its no secret that major food manufacturers have been altering classic recipes and production methods as a cost saving measure in recent years.

What Im curious of is there anything left that hasn’t been significantly messed with?

I was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and, as a lifelong cereal lover, it's been tough! Cereal is one of my ultimate safe foods but it's been spiking my sugar as I've been trying to get it under control.

I'm not sure if these are available outside of India though I'm sure the same cereal might exist under other branding. The chocolate inside is shockingly rich and not cheap tasting and if these soak in the milk long enough the chocolate inside starts choccing up the milk and oof, they're just the best.

Hi everyone, I also love cereal and that includes the little games on the back of them. My mother and I happened to be looking at this specific Lucky Charm box tonight as we were eating, and were able to complete the paths rather easily, and most of the scavenger hunt. We can’t find the heart, we are very much aware we will probably feel silly once someone points it out, but we’ve been looking for like half an hour.

I've been eating Coco Pops regularly for about a year after not being allowed them as a kid and I'm utterly devastated by the new recipe. They're crunchier, but they're also made of flour instead of rice, as if rice was somehow too expensive. What's the closest off-brand to the real thing?
