Hey guys , need some help or some advice or what can I do . At my work I had direct deposit with my name but a friend coworker asked if he can direct deposit his checks in my account . I said yeah and everything been good for months , but I change my bank and open one so he can do it in just that account , the bank was good with the deposits but one last direct deposit didn’t went through . And they freeze my account and close it with all my funds , it’s been almost a 3 months thing , the thing is the bank sent me a check with my funds but didn’t sent the direct deposit one , is like 1200 . I’m telling the bank to sent it back to the original source of payment that was edp , but they don’t want to . I’m telling them that the money doesn’t belong to them just to reverse the direct deposit so the company can have the funds back and give the person the money in a check , but the bank don’t want to release the funds or just sent them back . Anyone knows what can I do to fix this . I just need the money back . I don’t know what else to do . But the money don’t belong to them to the bank I just need them so sent it back to the original form of payment . Any advice ?

I signed up for my first credit card for the Citi promotion of 0% Apr balance transfer and tried to transfer my balance on Oct 13. Wasn’t going through, the app notified me I needed to call to verify.

Waited 45 minutes on hold, was told that I couldn’t verify over the phone or in person if I went into a branch. Was told I had to wait for a physical letter in 8-10 days. Asked why this was happening, the woman said she couldn’t tell me.

Finally got the letter today, called immediately. On hold for 1hr 15+ minutes, did the verification (why I had to wait to talk to a human to tell them 4 digits and couldn’t put this into a robo call I will never understand). Was told I can initiate a new transfer now that my first one timed out.

Logged back into the app- it tells me to call customer service again!! Anybody else break this endless loop? Why can’t I go into a branch??

What is the max PB annual bonus payout??? For example if your overall rating is a 1, 2, or 3. Citibank is not so transparent about this. Thanks in advance

I have a Citi bank personal loan on auto pay. They claim only my bank can stop auto payments. They also claim my loan with Citi is handled by another divisio- not Citibank at all.

Had a citi card they said I “had called in” to close the account neither me or my wife had called in to close the account according to their records it was our number and that’s how they verified the account closure. Need some help with this one cause it doesn’t make any sense. Neither of has had called citi.

I have noted that they have reposted the same job again and again with extended deadline is there a reason for it.
I also found out same JD for different job title they are hiring for.

I had a situation, actually a couple, with Citibank over the past few years. I'm curious because I've read a bunch of things on here where people have similar stories. I'm wondering, what we can do as a group together? I've seen several lawsuits fly at Citibank recently because they're not doing due diligence to their clients, which is us. They are siding with the merchant without even doing due diligence on information we send to them. This is not okay. I'm curious if anyone has any thoughts or opinions about anything that's happened to them? Would you mind leaving comments here.

At some point, I'm probably going to have a website where people can come and post things, and we can gather and become mighty as a group. Something needs to change. If you have all these people looking at these disputes, why are they not looking at them? Because if they would look at them, they would clearly see that perhaps the merchant may be bending the truth or even lying. I don't like to say that, I like the truth. The truth will set you free.

And yet I do believe there's a lot going on that hurts the small man. People just living their life and trusting, when they slide their credit card, that what they get, the service provided to them, will actually be delivered.

Let's be kind, let's be detailed, why don't you share with me, as concisely as you can, on what happened? What you bought, what services you paid for, what went wrong, and how Citi failed you?

I got a lock put on my credit card for making a large payment from a new payment method. The account I’ve always made payments from is mine only, while the new payment method was a joint account with my significant other and I.

I had to call and the rep wanted to call my bank while on the phone with me to verify that the account that made the large payment was mine. I couldn’t do it anyways because today is Sunday so I thought I’d ask here to see if this is normal before I call on Monday. If there’s a reason for needing to verify the payment method could anyone explain why? It seems like locking my card and requiring a group phone call to my bank is a bit extreme.

I asked if the payment had cleared okay and they said they couldn’t even answer that. I know it cleared on my end because the money left my account, but they won’t even confirm that the payment went through without issue on their end. Has anyone else experienced this? I assume it’s some kind of fraud protection measure but I don’t really see what the issue is

Unfortunately I have a problem with 3DS verification, I have only the option via Citi mobile app, it stucks at please wait. Is this a known issue or how can I fix that ?

Just got an email from amazon saying that a $10 gift card was sent to me from Citi ThankYou. I went to my amazon account, and sure enough there is a $10 gift card from Citi. I did not redeem any ThankYou points. Anyone know anything about this? Some sort of promotion?

I’m at my wit’s end with Citi and wondering if anyone else has experienced this and actually found a resolution.

I’ve now gone through three attempts to get my physical credit card delivered, and it STILL hasn’t arrived.

Here’s the situation:
Citi has verified that my mailing address is 100% correct.
I’ve already requested replacement cards twice, neither of which arrived. Every time I contact support, they tell me to close the existing card, issue another replacement, and wait another 4–7 business days.

I’ve asked for expedited shipping and tracking information, but nobody can guarantee either.
I’ve escalated to a chat supervisor, who just repeats the exact same scripted response.
Their phone system is incredibly frustrating because I don’t have the physical card to enter the requested information. I’m currently facing a 45-minute phone wait with no callback option.

Meanwhile, I’m severely limited in using my account because I don’t have the physical card, and Apple Pay gets declined for most of my attempted purchases

My biggest frustration is that nobody can tell me what actually happened to the previous cards. Were they shipped? Lost? Returned? Delivered somewhere else? Nobody seems to know.

I’m not willing to keep requesting replacements indefinitely and waiting another week each time.
Has anyone successfully resolved this issue with Citi?

At this point, it’s getting fucking ridiculous that getting a physical credit card has become this difficult. This entire process has been going on for roughly 2 months now. I only have a four month window for the sign on bonus offer.

I don’t know why I let it surprise me that a lay-off that happened at the end of July, paperwork returned in August, separation following WARN at the beginning of October, it’ll be into November before I get my severance pay. Why they’re allowed 3-4 pay periods to get around to something, but sure as shit if I owed them something, they’d nickel and dime me to death.

It is nearly impossible to speak with a human for customer service. I opened a card and never used it - got a fraudulent charge for a hotel on the opposite side of the country and spent hours trying to submit a dispute. I got hung up on multiple times. (All while listening to the worst saxophone hold music of all time.)

I’ve dealt with several credit card companies and Citi is by far the worst.

Avoid like the plague!!
