Week one with our corgi puppy
It's been a week since our corgi arrived to our home !
She's 10 weeks old ! We made so many progress already !
We had 3 issues to work on :
• She was struggling to calm down after walks ( and because we potty train, we go out a lot, like every two hours.
• She was trying to eat absolutely EVERYTHING from the floor and didn't care when we were trying to redirect her
• Constantly biting everything in our home too !
We try to redirect as much as possible, and we are currently trying to teach her the command " drop ".
She is also a fast learner. She knows to ask when she needs to poop, she know her name/sit/give paw/check. But we are starting to see why people warned us that corgi's ears are mainly decorative 😂😭🐶🦴
If you have any advices for the next weeks...

Don’t move. Don’t move. Don’t move.
My baby is obsessed with me, but prefers sleeping at the foot of the bed. I actually captured the first time I’ve ever gotten sleepy snuggles and this is how I die.

Potty Training Advice pls!!
Hi! I have a 9 month Corgi and we are struggling with potty training, he was potty trained when he was younger and he was doing so well! Then it felt like when he hit 7 months all of that went down the drain.
I take him out every 30 mins, after naps, after food, after playtime, but sometimes he’ll have incidents where not even 20 minutes have passed and he’ll go again! It’s not a UTI, we’ve ruled that out with his vet,
Is there any potty training methods that worked for you with your corgis? Please help! 😭

Does anyone remember tankgirl?
My corgi puppy reminds me of one of the rippers, when she runs and jumps with her legs out in front it's so funny. I've tried to get a picture or video of this in action, but it's impossible -. I did include her best ripper impersonation photo that I have of her though.
The funny part is I always call her "Bailey booger". And I looked it up this morning one of the rippers names is "Booga"... Perfect
"Bailey Booga"

Pet insurance for a Corgi — worth it or better to save?
I’m picking up my 4-month-old Corgi on Friday and am debating whether to get pet insurance or put money aside each month for potential vet bills.
I’ve seen mixed reviews, so I’d love to hear from Corgi parents specifically, since I know breed can make a difference in health risks and potential costs.
Would you recommend getting insurance or saving up and paying out of pocket as needed?
If you have pet insurance, what provider do you use, and did you add preventative care coverage or any other add-ons?
Would love to hear your experiences and advice!

Adopted this sweet girl yesterday, Eevee
She needed to be the only dog in the house, I think she is happy being the queen bee already.

This is Tootsie
I've had her about 4 months. My first corgi. She's 7, a former puppy mill momma, totally adorable and sassy and silly. I love her. My semi low rider in comparison Ernie (basador) also seems to mostly think she's great but is sometimes confused. Any advice I would welcome.
