The mod team has been reviewing all violations of Rule #4 for some time now. We also asked the community for feedback on what makes a Dropshipper an expert in a thread that provoked vibrant discussion and a healthy helping of the usual spam for Fiverr's, scammers, etc...
We believe we have developed a model that will allow us to both stop banning most users for violation of Rule #4 and promote better, higher-level, discussions here that will help everyone.
This post is a pre-announcement to collect feedback on our new rules and processes. Each of these will be fully implemented by October 20th after community feedback.
A handful of users in this sub will be granted the flair "Dropshipping Expert" in the coming months. To obtain this flair the applicant will have to give the mods quite a bit of information and insights to help us determine their qualifications. Only the top of the top applicants for this will be approved.
Dropshipping Expert flair will grant the holder a few perks and should show to the community that your posts and comments are more trusted than others. We will try and come up with more perks for these soon. Here are the current perks:
Here are some of the many qualifiers, more will be announced soon. You won't need all of these to qualify as a Dropshipping Expert, we will announce more specific details on this later.
We have been hush hush about what we consider an "extraordinary claim" but that changes now after carefully reviewing the content removed as parts of known scam / spam attacks on our subreddit. Instead we will approach this with a few slight changes.
Claims under $10,000 / month usd will have no action taken against them. These claims are considered ordinary, though users of our sub should still be cautious that mentors / gurus / course sellers will abuse this and try to scam you. Stay on your guard.
Claims between $10,001 / month - $30,000 / month usd will now be considered "great" but will not be considered "extraordinary". Great results get more skepticism from the mod team and are likely to be removed but not marked as spam except in cases where the user spams the same / similar claims over and over. We will consider posting the same claim too frequently or in a way that should be post flaired as "marketplace" as spam and the user will be banned. Other than that, these claims are generally going to be allowed starting today.
Claims over $30,000 / month usd will generally now be considered "Extraordinary" though the closer to the $30k the more likely the mod team is to consider this only an "amazing" claim. Claims such as "$100k usd in sales today" will always be considered "Extraordinary" and require revenue verification.
Short term claims such as daily or weekly are calculated up to a monthly claim. If you claim a $10,000 / day usd sales boost then our mod team considers that a $300,000 / month usd claim which falls under "Extraordinary" and Rule #4 applies.
Anyone banned for violations of Rule #4 from here on cannot appeal their bans, period.
We will no longer be doing revenue verification in private via mod mail. Instead ALL revenue verification requests must now be 100% public. To be revenue verified you must:
Revenue verification grants a user flair and allows them to post about ANY revenue claim from that momement forward without scrutiny, being removed, or being banned.
Once you have gotten your verdict, you may delete your post.
Many of you noticed we introduced a new flair awhile back "Dropwinning".
This flair should be used for:
Virtually ALL uses for revenue claims should go into this flair or the marketplace flair. If not, you risk having your post marked as spam. And if you spam too much you risk being banned from our sub.
It is my hope that these updated rules allow for more bragging by Dropshippers who are actually killing it, allow us to highlight experts in our field who are extremely helpful and a benefit to our industry, and bring more knowledge for everyone while keeping spammers banished to the shadow realm.

I work on sourcing, quality checks, and fulfillment in China. Part of my job is figuring out whether “in stock” means ready to ship or ready to become a group chat discussion.
Questions about suppliers, shipping quotes, product quality, or working with an agent? Ask away. I’ll tell you what I can verify, what depends, and what nobody should be promising you.

Hi there, I’m looking for a Chinese private agent, any suggestions? I have one but probably he is the worst private agent in the universe 🪐🌎

When I first started ecommerce, I honestly had no clue what I was doing. I wasted money testing products that went nowhere, spent way too much time watching YouTube videos, and constantly questioned whether this business model even worked. Fast forward to now, and seeing a day like this still feels a little unreal and it almost makes me fucking cry.
£12,516 in sales and 300 orders in one day.
Obviously, revenue isn’t profit, and one good day doesn’t mean you’ve figured everything out. There’s still plenty I’m working on.
But if you’re at the stage where you’re struggling to get consistent sales, don’t automatically assume you’re not cut out for this.
I’m curious how long have you guys been running your stores, and what’s been your biggest struggle so far? I’d love to help.

A little about what we do: We help dropshipping sellers with product sourcing, supplier communication, quality control, warehousing, order fulfillment, international shipping, and custom branding.
We work behind the scenes of ecommerce businesses and see the challenges sellers face with suppliers, product quality, and shipping.
This is a genuine help post. Nothing to sell.
If you have questions about sourcing products from China, working with a private agent, shipping, or fulfillment, feel free to ask.
Ask me anything! 📦

Hey everyone,
This year I ran Meta tests for a US-market brand end to end: creative, testing and the store pages. The ads didn’t sell, but the data showed exactly why. The creative was pulling the wrong age group. I wrote it all up as a case study, mistakes included.
I ran out of budget before I could test the next round, so now I want to do this on real accounts.
I make direct response ad creatives- statics, native image ads, carousels and AI video ads (animated motion design using claude, can do VSLs with kling and seedance too), each built around a different desire or angle.
I’m early in my career and looking for brands or agencies to work with. Freelance or remote, any time zone, happy to start on a base rate with pay going up as the creative performs.
DM me for my portfolio.

Hi everyone,I'm a local based in Guangzhou, China. I've started a sourcing business here, basically it is exporting goods from China, mainly because there is a wide range of products available here, probably with more competitive prices.
I want to test whether my shipping channel works well for shipping goods to other conutries, so this is where I need some help.
For more details of the process, I will send you a small gift—a trinket toy(picture at below), and when you receive the products, please
1.Let me know and I will cacluate the time cost
2.Check whether the package is broken
3.Tell me what you think about the products
4.Finally, transfer 0.1 USD to my Paypal account and I will make sure that I can receive money from your country (Optional)
I need one person from the European Union and one person from the United States currently. If you're interested, please DM me.

For those of you running COD, I've been thinking about how the most expensive order is often one that never should have shipped. You pay for the product, the outbound shipping, often the return shipping, and the ad spend that brought the order in, and you get nothing back.
So I'm curious where people draw the line before handing an order to the courier. Some signals I've seen people mention:
What I can't decide is how strict to be. Cancel too aggressively and you lose real buyers who just didn't pick up the phone. Ship everything and your RTO eats the margin.
A few questions for anyone who's dialled this in:
Would be good to hear what's actually worked rather than theory.

LWhen testing a new product, I never know how much time I should spend on the creatives before I even know whether the product has potential. Making several versions of an ad takes time, but running just one creative doesn't always tell me much about what customers respond to.
I've started looking into ways to get more variations from a small set of product images and clips, rather than rebuilding everything from scratch for each test.
Curious how other dropshippers handle this. Do you make multiple creatives upfront, test one angle first, or wait for early results before investing more time into the content?

If you are thinking of buying from DeoDap, read this first.
DeoDap is currently using unstated, arbitrary refund caps to withhold legally owed money from customers after sending damaged or incorrect inventory. When caught, their customer support team hides behind automated loops and refuses to process refunds.
Here is how DeoDap operates, based on my real experience:

Official Legal Action Taken:
Because DeoDap's support operates on automated refusals, I have officially escalated this unfair online trade practice to government authorities:
All communication logs, order details, and proof of their refusal to refund damaged goods have been submitted as evidence.
To the DeoDap Management & Legal Team:
If you monitor Reddit and care about your brand's public reputation, stop hiding behind canned responses (Sefali Bagrthariya, Makwana Dharmishta, Jay Vadariya & team). Immediately process the pending balance of ₹347 back to my original payment source.
To fellow buyers: Check your refund breakdown carefully!!!!! DeoDap might be withholding your money under the exact same unstated "max refund limit." Has anyone else taken legal action against them for this?

I think one of the better uses for AI in ecommerce is connecting it directly to the tools you're already using.
With MCP you can pull information from your store, check orders, look at sales data or get shipping details without having to open five different dashboards. It's not really about having AI run your entire business, just making everyday tasks less annoying. Especially when you're managing a store by yourself and don't wanna spend half your day checking things manually.

I did drop shipping before Covid and sold my business.
Want to get back in. What’s the best resources to get started?
Not sure if I’m allowed to ask, anyone I can pay here by the hour if I need help or advice?

I recently launched my Shopify dropshipping store and was excited to get my first sale. But since then, I haven't been able to get another order.
I'm trying to figure out what I might be doing wrong instead of randomly changing things and hoping for the best.
For those of you who have been through this stage, I'd love to hear your experience:
When you got your first sale, what helped you turn it into consistent orders?
What do you think matters most for a new dropshipping store: product selection, store design, pricing, shipping times, or something else?
If you were starting over today, what would you focus on first?
I'm not expecting a magic formula, and I know results take time.Even one practical lesson or mistake to avoid would be really helpful. Thanks!

Buongiorno,
Grazie a tutti

After a couple of months of testing, strategizing, restrategizing and honestly trying to figure out what I was doing wrong, I finally got my first orders on my new store.
Spent around $35 on ads and woke up to these notifications.
It's probably not a huge result to some people but after spending so much time trying to make things work, seeing those orders come through hits different.
I'm still learning and I know getting a couple of sales doesn't mean I have figured everything out yet. Now the goal is to understand what worked and see if I can repeat it consistently.
For anyone who's been trying for weeks or months without seeing results, keep learning and testing. I'm still at the beginning but this little win gave me a lot more motivation to keep going.
For those who've been doing this for a while what did you focus on after getting your first few sales?

Hey everyone, I’m based in New York and getting ready to start selling online. I’m planning to test a few channels: a Shopify store (maybe dropshipping at first), Amazon FBA, and TikTok Shop.
From what I understand so far:
For those of you selling on more than one channel, how do you actually handle it?
Not looking for official advice (I’ll talk to an accountant too), just want to hear how real sellers manage this day to day. Thanks!

I was doing a product test and for the first two days every single one of my metrics on the ad campaign were phenomenal. For context this was on Meta/ using shopify. Incredibly low CPC, lots of impressions, super high ATC rate and checkout initiations. But I was getting zero sales. Customers kept abandoning the site in the middle of checkouts, many even partially entered info before leaving. I tested the checkout myself then refunded my own order so I know it’s not because the payment processing is broken or anything. Im a little puzzled here so I was wondering if anyone else has dealt with this issue before? And if it points to a problem with the ads, the website, product itself or my offer. So far I have revamped my campaign a bit, before it was apparently prioritizing checkouts and not sales as well as targeting too old of an age group. I also fixed a few minor issues with the website but unsure if these two changes will fix this.
