PAID - Game / Level Designer Looking for Writer/ game designer (Singleplayer)
About Us:
Hello everyone! We are Fury Entertainment, an indie team currently developing an unannounced psychological/survival horror title. We are building a dark, narrative-driven experience focused on psychological trauma, environmental storytelling, and unsettling mysteries.
The Project:
Genre: Psychological / Survival Horror
Platform: PC (Target)
Current Status: In active development (Core mechanics and vertical slice underway)
Narrative Style: Minimalist dialogue, heavy environmental lore, documents/logs that piece together a larger mystery, and psychological pacing (inspired by games like Silent Hill 2, SOMA, and Alan Wake).
What We’re Looking For:
We are looking for a multi-talented Writer / Narrative Designer who doesn't just want to write scripts, but understands how to translate story into actual gameplay. You will work closely with artists and level designers to weave the narrative directly into the game world.
Responsibilities:
Outline the core narrative arc, character backstories, and psychological themes.
Write in-game text, including lore documents, environmental notes, UI text, and occasional dialogue.
Collaborate on narrative-driven puzzle concepts and pacing (ensuring the story drives the gameplay and vice versa).
Design environmental storytelling opportunities (placing clues, visual storytelling cues, and narrative triggers in levels).
Requirements:
A portfolio or writing samples showcasing interactive narrative, game writing, or atmospheric fiction (horror/thriller preferred).
Strong understanding of narrative design: how mechanics, level design, and pacing contribute to the story.
Ability to write engaging, concise, and tonally consistent text that fits a dark, mature horror setting.
Excellent communication skills and availability to sync regularly via Discord.
The Compensation:
This is a revenue-share project. Our team is fully committed to bringing this project to life, and everyone will receive a fair, legally agreed-upon percentage of the game's future revenue upon release, alongside full production credits.
