Sourdough, cheddar, and goat cheese 😮‍💨👌🏼

These are from 2 different days, both are vintage cheddar in between slices of matured cheddar.

Hi all! New to this community so popping in to say hi and share my love of grilled cheeses. Many years ago a friend and I hosted a grilled cheeses girls night. We made four varieties, cut all into fourths, and all nibbled on all the types!

I don’t specifically remember each but I know we had a classic with American, one with cream cheese (another actual melty cheese I’m forgetting!) and red pepper jelly, another with provolone, mozzarella, basil and a little salami … and I’m blanking on the fourth.

Either way, many grilled cheeses were made and enjoyed that evening!

Used Trader Joes San Fran style sourdough and random cheeses that were in my fridge. The cheese blend kind of makes this a seven cheese grilled cheese

How did I do?

Whole grain bread, 2 slices of yellow cheese and some butter in a frying pan. Surprisingly crispy and rich in flavor!

What power does it possess? What secrets will it unlock!

"Mustard seed and ale" cheddar, garlic and herb goat cheese, with a little mozzarella on sourdough. The mozzarella was only there to offset the crumbly cheddar. One of the best tasting grilled cheeses I've ever eaten, and it paired nicely with the maibock.

best soup to date and the grilled cheese croutons (Kraft singles en Carozza) made this so nice to eat. I made a substack and put the recipe on it :)

To maintain the crispy-ness :) or are you team no cut??

This is an old pic. I was scrolling through my photos and I found this masterpiece, my boyfriend makes amazing grilled cheeses and this was just the best cheese pull I’ve had so far from any of them. We’ve definitely had better and more delicious grilled cheeses after this but so far in my life this was the best cheese pull. I thought I should share this 😌

I also don’t remember what cheeses he put in there unfortunately 💔 but he did use sourdough and hella butter 🤤

Also I’m sure there will be many more better pulls and this is just the beginning 😋

Havent made grilled cheese in awhile. I made a few like a week ago and they came out perfectly.

First time using Brie in grilled cheese, nothing to complain about.
