Fore at St Paul's church, Tennyson Street
'Everything's pretty charred': Police seek cause of fire that gutted Napier church | RNZ
Distressing news about St Paul's Presbyterian Church. On the 3rd of February 1931, a previous version of St Paul's was nearing completion when the earthquake struck. The fires finished what the earthquake started.
The brick "fence" around Asher Hall is the footprint of the Church destroyed by the earthquake and fires. It wasn't until the 1950s that the replacement church was built, the Church on fire today. Not only were there pews that survived 1931 but at least one Roll of Honour from a Church that closed a few years ago.
Here's hoping it's not another arson like St Patrick's in Munro Street in 1986.

Beautiful day for the 150 year Jubilee of the Napier Fire Brigade.
Vintage fire engines, rescue displays and a flyby of our new rescue helicopter. Stunning weather for it too.

Over on nzpolitics - AMA: Lauren Craig - Green Party Candidate for Wairarapa
Just sharing for those in the Wairarapa district if they have any questions (just mind our rules and keep it respectful, tricky/insightful questions are fine but we don’t tolerate Facebook/X antics on there lol). Thanks. :)

EIT Salon Services
I had my hair cut and styled for just $15 this morning and am very pleased with it. There are appointments available for hair services on the 28th and more next month: Choose services
The salon was quite busy so it's a popular option for getting your hair cut, coloured or styled. It's also really affordable.
Upstairs are the beauty services such as a manicure and paint for just $5: REFRESH Beauty Therapy Clinic | EIT Hawke's Bay and Tairāwhiti
The salons are on Dalton Street, Napier beside Angkor Wat bakery.
