PSA: Increase in WhatsApp / Signal group spam and unsolicited DMs.

Hey all nothing too serious just a quick heads up for anyone coming here for the first time.

We’ve seen a sharp uptick lately in people commenting and DM’ing links to WhatsApp and Signal groups.

Just a heads up, treat these with caution.

If someone messages you out of the blue pushing a group, especially after you've made a post or comment here, be sceptical. There’s no real way to verify who’s behind those links, and this is a common angle for spam and scams.

If you actually want to meet people or build contacts, Ibiza is one of the easiest places in the world to do it in person. You’ll have a far better experience just talking to people out here rather than joining random group chats beforehand. I'm not here to tell you what to do, but I can tell you for certain you don't need to take the risk.

Stay safe 👍

Tourist FAQs and more.

Thinking about visiting Ibiza soon? Welcome to our sticky post containing a few common questions and answers that might be able to help you:

When should I go to Ibiza?

You can visit Ibiza year-round. The island has over 300 days of sunshine, with December to February being the coolest months (around 14–16°C). For northern Europeans, it can still feel mild, but it isn’t beach weather for most.

The main party season runs from mid-May/early June until mid-October. If you’re after large-scale events and superstar DJs, July and August are peak months, but they’re also the busiest and most expensive.

Consult the table below for an overview on a month-by-month basis:

Month Party Intensity Weather Avg Temp (°C)
Jan Sparse, small events Mild, cool 15
Feb Sparse, small events Cool, some rain 14
Mar Very quiet, warm-up events Warming, occasional rain 16
Apr Early openings, busy weekends, quiet weekdays Pleasant, warming 18
May Lots of openings, good balance Warm, sunny 22
Jun Most parties active, busy but not peak Hot, sunny 26
Jul Peak season Hot, dry 30
Aug Peak season, most intense Very hot, sometimes humid 31
Sep Still busy, good mix, some closings Warm, some rain 28
Oct Closing parties Cooling, occasional rain 24
Nov Few events Mild, cool 19
Dec Quiet except Christmas/NYE Mild, cool 16

Who's playing this year / When are the big club events?

Most lineups are released between February and April. Some residencies announce earlier, but the full calendar is usually complete by spring.

Tickets & Entry FAQs

  • When is the last entry for a club?
There is no last entry in Ibiza unless your ticket specifies a certain time. Otherwise, you can enter anytime while the club is open.

  • How far in advance should I buy tickets?
The earlier, the cheaper. Tickets are dynamic pricing: months ahead is cheapest, day-of is most expensive.

  • My friend bought our tickets, and their name is on all of them. Will I still get in?
Yes. Only the QR code matters.

  • Do I need to print my ticket?
No. A digital QR code on your phone is enough.

  • My ticket says entry before 1 AM. What if I arrive later?
You won’t be refused — you’ll just need to pay the difference in price.

  • What if the event is sold out online?
Some venues hold back a small reserve of tickets for the door. Arrive early if you want to chance it.

Will I need ID for clubbing?

You’ll need one of the following (usually nothing else is accepted):
- EU or UK driving licence (other non-EU licences often refused)
- Passport
- A photocopy of your passport (sometimes accepted, but not guaranteed)

If you look under 30, expect to be asked. Always bring proper ID — being refused can cost you your ticket and a long taxi ride back.

How do I get around while I’m here?

  • Buses: In summer, bus routes are reliable between Ibiza Town, Sant Antoni, and Santa Eulalia. Winter services are very limited.
  • Disco Bus: Cheapest way to clubs (€4–5), runs from Ibiza Town, Playa d’en Bossa, and San Antonio with a fun atmosphere.
  • Taxis: Book via WhatsApp (+34 971 333 333, send address or pin) Guide here. Taxi Click app also works, but can be buggy. Fares €25–40.
  • Car hire: Best option for groups or off-season. Book early, choose “Full to Full” fuel, and photograph the car at pickup. Third-party excess insurance online is far cheaper than rental desk add-ons.
  • Uber: Legal since 2024, but drivers are still scarce. Use Taxi Click or WhatsApp as first choice.
  • Ferries: Santa Eulalia ferry links Ibiza Town, Es Canar (Hippy Market), Cala Llonga, Santa Eulalia, and Formentera. San Antonio ferries connect to west-coast beaches.

Tip: After-club taxis are very hard to get (6 AM queues are huge). Options: leave 10 mins before closing, Disco Bus, or book a private transfer in advance.

Can you help me find drugs?

No — asking for drugs is against Reddit’s T&Cs.

Cannabis clubs do exist and are easy to find via Google. They usually require ID and a small sign-up fee.

Where are the clubs?

  • Day clubs:

    • Ushuaïa → Playa d’en Bossa (next to Hï Ibiza, open-air stage, daytime to midnight)
    • O Beach → San Antonio (famous pool parties, afternoon until evening)
    • Destino → Talamanca (luxury open-air venue with views of Ibiza Town, mostly day/evening)
    • Cova Santa → San José hills (restaurant and club in a natural cave, day-to-night events)
    • Hard Rock Hotel → Playa d’en Bossa (daytime poolside events, occasional live acts)
    • 528 Ibiza → Benimussa Hills (immersive dining/entertainment, occasional parties)
    • Ibiza Rocks → San Antonio (hotel courtyard with poolside stage, daytime live acts/DJs)
  • Night clubs:

    • Hï Ibiza → Playa d’en Bossa (superclub opposite Ushuaïa, cutting-edge production)
    • Pacha → Ibiza Town (iconic cherry logo, one of the oldest clubs on the island)
    • Amnesia → On the main road between Ibiza Town and San Antonio (massive terrace and main room, legendary parties)
    • UNVRS → Also on the main road in between the two towns (newer venue and the largest on the island)
    • DC-10 → Near the airport/Las Salinas (infamous underground club, home of Circoloco Mondays)
    • Eden → San Antonio (biggest superclub in San Antonio, home to Defected and others)
    • Club Chinois → Ibiza Town Marina Botafoch (luxury venue with Asian-inspired design)
    • Akasha → Santa Gertrudis (intimate indoor club attached to Las Dalias hippy market)
    • Es Paradis → San Antonio (famous for its “water party” and ornate white interior)
  • Locations overview:

    • Playa d’en Bossa / Ibiza Town: Most superclubs (Ushuaïa, Hï, Pacha, Club Chinois).
    • Between towns: Amnesia and UNVRS are on the main road between Ibiza Town and San Antonio.
    • San Antonio: Eden, Es Paradis, O Beach, Ibiza Rocks — plus countless bars and cheaper beach clubs.
    • Elsewhere: DC-10 (near Las Salinas/airport), Cova Santa (San José hills), Destino (Talamanca), Akasha (to the Northeast, a little way pasta Santa Eularia).

What time should I arrive at the club?

Club Etiquette & Prices

  • Dress code: Casual/smart casual. No football shirts, swimwear, or flip-flops.
  • Not allowed: Large bags/backpacks (except Amnesia & O Beach with lockers), outside drinks, illegal substances.
  • Re-entry: Once you leave, you cannot re-enter without buying a new ticket.
  • Cash or card? Both accepted. Travel cards like Revolut/Starling recommended for best rates.
  • Prices:
    • Spirits & mixer: €20–25
    • Beer: €12–16
    • Water: €10–15
  • VIP tables: Worth it if you’re in a large group or want a dedicated space.

Where should I stay?

  • Families: Santa Eulalia, Cala Llonga, Portinatx — quieter, family-friendly.
  • Clubbers/groups: Ibiza Town, Playa d’en Bossa, San Antonio. San Rafael and San Josep are peaceful but close to nightlife.
  • Budget tip: Ibiza Town is pricier, but San Antonio taxi fares can add up to the same overall cost if you go clubbing in town often.

I’m visiting in the off-season. Is there anything to do?

Yes — plenty. Clubs are shut, but the island is beautiful year-round. Hiking, quiet beaches, excellent restaurants, and historical sites are all worth exploring.

- https://www.white-ibiza.com/guide/best-restaurants-ibiza/

Is Ibiza suitable for families?

Yes. Much of the island is quiet and peaceful, with child-friendly beaches and a couple of water parks.

Safety Tips

  • Protect your drink — spiking can happen.
  • Watch your valuables — leave expensive items locked in your hotel safe.
  • Stay hydrated — alternate water with alcohol, especially in summer heat.
  • Have ID — under-18s won’t be allowed into clubs.

Hotel recommendations for Sept 2027 - Playa den Bossa or Ibiza Town

Hi all,

We went to Ibiza for the first time this year at the ripe old age of 50 (yay!) (Coming from Australia so not the easiest commute.) We stayed at Amare Hotel on the recommendation of this forum and really enjoyed it - thanks everyone :)

However we did find its location to be quite inconvenient. Taxis were had the worst waiting time by far (45 mins to an hour every night). We also stayed at Hotel Torres Del Mar for a couple of nights and found that side of the island much more convenient for what we wanted to do, and the eating options were far more plentiful (but their pool was freezing!)

As luck would have it, we'll be in Spain next September and want to return to Ibiza for a full week. I can get a deal at Amare again for 250 euros per night (incl breakfast), but then if we stay there again we'd just have to put up with the inconvenience of the taxis, esp to go to the big clubs (and if we have to return to our hotel to fetch our passports, that would be a big nuisance.)

I'm looking for a musical hotel like Amare with daily DJs by the pool, but located in or around Playa den Bossa or Ibiza Town. The ones that I can find online using Google (which can be unreliable) are:

  • Dorado
  • The Standard (not sure about the DJ bit though)
  • Ocean Drive Talamanca (seems overpriced and unlikely)
  • Destino Five (very exy)
  • Jet apartments (the main draw seems to be the pool, reviews say the actual hotel is lackluster)
  • Hotel MiM (not sure about the DJ though)
  • Vibra Hotel Algarb
  • Vibra Hotel Jabeque Dreams

But the thing is, none of them stand out as a winner. Can anyone can recommend any of these or something else? Budget say 400-500 euros per night. Specifically I'm looking for somewhere on the east coast with good DJs. If I were to stay around San An again, I'd just go back to Amare (we met some people who stay there every year).

Thanks in advance.

Planning to visit Ibiza in mid-December. What’s the island and nightlife scene like then? Are any clubs or parties open, or is it mostly quiet?

We were at Es Figural today when there was a really loud rumble, we looked up and Paller D’en Camp had just collapsed. Feels crazy that we were some of the last people to ever see it.

Selected 5 guests, system recorded 4, Grand Palladium Hotel in Ibiza treated us like criminals and called police to pressure us into paying a disputed surcharge

Would you book your birthday trip here if you knew a booking dispute could end with the police arriving?

We selected five guests and booked two rooms. The final confirmation showed only four guests in small print. When you search for accommodation for five and select two rooms from the results, would you expect to have to check that the booking process hadn’t changed your guest count? We suspect selecting a room option caused that change, but the hotel never provided records explaining what happened. We also explicitly told the hotel before travelling that all five of us were coming, including our 10-year-old.

At the resort, they demanded another €1,400 for our child. When we challenged the charge, manager Vanesa Pérez called the Guardia Civil. Four officers arrived. We felt intensely pressured and paid the reduced €420 to end the confrontation during what should have been a celebration of my wife’s 50th birthday.

In my view, Vanesa showed more ability to escalate a dispute than to resolve one with the judgment and empathy hospitality requires.

The hotel later acknowledged it knew five of us were coming and could have clarified the discrepancy before arrival, yet refused a refund. All our claims were denied. I would never return. Before booking, consider whether this is how you would want your family treated when a reservation goes wrong.

Ibiza suggestions for newcomers

hi y’all!! quick question for all the ibiza regulars 🗣️

i’ve been Ibiza 3 times - 1x with my bestie (just 2 of us), 2nd time a whole squad of 6, then the most recent was with my mum (personally the best time of all haha!! she knows her music)

summer 2027 I am taking my mates from home and there’s 4 of us. none of them have ever been before.

i want to show them the best time everrr so they want to come again with me 😂 they’re planning 5 days so I want the most out of each day without them feeling exhausted by the end of it. for context we are 4 girls and by the time we travel we will all be 27 y/o

personally i think we should do:

land:

night 1x club in the evening (maybe Pacha)

night 2: 1x day o beach

go home, get changed for amnesia or hi

day 3: ushiaia and dinner in old town

day 4:

blue marlin, then dinner at cafe del mar, then mambo, then pikes

day 5:

either UNIVRS or chinos , OR Cova santa

are there any major clubs missing that we need to include? Happy for all suggestions, want them to get the most out of it!

thanks ravers xxx

Looking for affordable appartments - 2027

Hello,

I'm looking for modern but affordable 2 person appartments for a week vacation (not cheap, but max. +/- 200 p.n. in juni/sept) We dont want airbnb, more like 'hotels with a kitchenette'.

For example; We went to The Palm Star and Blanco Soll before, but we are looking for more options.

Does someone has some good tips from their own experiences?

We don't want to be located in the city centres (Ibiza Town and St. Antonio) or Playa Bossa

Thanks in advance!

Cerveceria Quintana, Santa Eularía, ¿Que pasó?

Hola! Does anybody know what happened to Cerveceria Quintana on La Calle de Sant Vincent in Santa Eularía? My family loved going there whilst on the island on holiday. We came for my dad’s 60th this year to find it closed… for two years! He was really looking forward to going to his favourite bar in the world, so if anyone knows why it’s closed please let me know!!

Where to stay as non-partier ?

My mum (55) and I (25) are planning a trip to Ibiza to explore the island, but we’re not really looking for a party scene. Where would you recommend staying for a lovely village atmosphere, good restaurants, and beautiful beaches or coves? Thx !

🎃 IBIZA HALLOWEEN 2026 — Looking for a small crew (30–45)

Hey everyone! 👋

My name is Anthony, I'm 38 years old, French and based in Bordeaux.

I'm thinking about heading to Ibiza solo for Halloween, around October 29 – November 2.

I'm looking to connect with a small group of like-minded solo travellers to enjoy the island together!

I'm really into electronic music, house, underground vibes and unique party experiences.

Thinking about Pikes Presents at 528 for Halloween, but also up for sunset drinks, exploring the island, good food and spontaneous plans.

☀️ One thing though: I'm keeping my plans flexible and will probably book last minute, depending on the weather forecast. Hoping for some sunshine to enjoy the island properly!

Ideally, I'd love to connect with a few people beforehand and get a little crew together.

Anyone planning to be there around those dates? Feel free to comment or DM me! 🎶🌴

Recommendations besides clubbing.

Hey! We (mid 30s) are currently visiting ibiza and have already partied, visited ibiza city and been to the hippie markets. So we’re done with the usual stuff and would love to hear a few recommendations from you.

We have a car and are open to many things: cultural stuff, art, hiking, food.. any events happening today or the next three days? Private party that you would have five kind girls from Germany as guests? 😁
