Got diagnosed with Brugada recently. I wonder if anyone else here or their family has it.

Im curious what other genetic diseases are relatively common in Iran besides Beta Thalassemia (although anecdotal accounts on B-Thalassemia would also be appreciated).

The war involving Iran is having consequences far beyond the region, including for people facing deportation from Europe

Hey everyone, we're EUobserver, a small independent European newsroom.

We've been looking into how the war involving Iran and Israeli airstrikes have affected people and policies beyond the immediate conflict.

Something we found interesting, and wanted to share here, is that around 5,500 EU-supported deportations had not gone ahead by the end of September, partly because of cancelled flights, closed airspace and the wider disruption caused by the conflict.

It's another reminder of how war can affect people's lives in ways that don't always make the headlines, including those already facing uncertainty about where they can live.

We thought this might be an interesting perspective to bring into the conversation here, especially for those following the wider consequences of the conflict.
