Language exchange in Tbilisi: my Georgian/English for your English/Russian ☕🏔️

Hi! I’m 25, a Tbilisi local. I run a couple of businesses here, including a fried chicken spot. My English is around B2: I can talk freely, but I want to sound more natural, and I don’t get enough real practice.

What I offer: Georgian (native) or English, whichever you want to learn.
What I’m looking for: English conversation practice. ( My Russian is at a very low level, so I would be more than happy to exchange English or Georgian for Russian to )

A bit about me: I’m partly a chef, so food is my favorite topic. I also have a modified off-road 4x4 and love traveling in the mountains.

No textbooks, no formal lessons, and no fixed schedule. I’m pretty spontaneous, so we’ll just text and meet up when it works:

  • 1-on-1: coffee, food, a walk around the city
  • Group meetups: happy to join an existing one, or help start one
  • Mountain trips: if 3–4 of us get together, we can head out of the city in my 4x4. That means good company, good food and English the whole way. Fun and useful at the same time!

First coffee is on me ☕

If you’re in Tbilisi and this sounds good, DM me or comment below! 🙂

Hello. I'm looking for someone to talk with that can speak French. I am currently at about an A2 to B1 level but my pronunciation is atrocious and it's holding me back. The area I live in has an amazing lack of French and tutors are few and far between so I'm resorting to reddit. I frequently travel to Quebec, France and several African countries where French is predominantly spoken due to work so becoming better fluent will help everyone I believe.

J’adore discuter de philosophie, de religion, de culture générale et bien plus encore, par ailleurs, je lis avec avidité tout ce qui me tombe sous la main.

If someone is interested in learning English we can reciprocate, I have teaching experience and am college educated and travel extensively. Along with degrees in electrical engineering and business management.

I also enjoy music like most people lol, bands range from Sleep Token to Grims to Vale of Amonition and beyond. I attempt to paint and draw but I'm just a hobbyist in those regards.

Age and gender are irrelevant, infact the ideas expressed by people of various ages/genders help build a greater vocabulary and understanding.

My verbal portion is where I suffer the most, given a few minutes to organize my thoughts and think of what I want to say in text, I can come across as fairly well off but when speaking my brain locks up. So practice makes perfect right.

Let me know if you are interested, I have Whatsapp and regular cell but am willing to use other communication options if needed.

[22M] Looking for an Arabic study buddy! (Dars-e-Nizami, Quran, Gulf goals)

Hey everyone,

I’m a 22-year-old guy working in the tech industry, and I’m looking for an Arabic language partner to practice with and keep each other accountable.

I just started my language journey and am currently working through the early chapters of the Dars-e-Nizami Arabic course. My main goals for learning Arabic are:

Understanding the Quran better.

Being able to converse easily with locals when I eventually go for Hajj or Umrah.

Exploring future tech career opportunities across the Gulf region.

I’m ideally looking for someone at a similar beginner level to study alongside, or a native speaker interested in a language exchange (I’d be happy to help with English or chat about tech). We can keep it casual with text chats, voice notes, or Discord calls on the weekends.

If you have similar goals or just want to practice together, feel free to drop a comment or shoot me a DM!

I would love to tutor someone and help them with their English, Spanish, or French

I love helping people, and tutoring is one of the most effective ways for me to do so. However, in my home country, I feel like people aren’t really interested in me or what I have to offer, even though I have far more experience than the average person in their 20’s. I have studied, lived, and worked in places such as Toronto, New York, London, Seville, Madrid, Bordeaux, and Paris. I’m from Czechia and hold three official C1 certificates in English, Spanish, and French, and I have even tutored students from North America, Asia (mainly China, South Korea, and Thailand), Qatar, etc. I used to be paid €30–€60 per hour for tutoring, which I consider a solid rate given my experience. I decided I want to take on more students in Czechia, yk to give something back to my country in some way - and i’ve even significantly lowered my rate to €15–€20 - I’m not sure if it’s too much for people? I believe most tutors are unqualified or lack sufficient international experience. Moreover, those “tutoring” centers and language schools are equally unsatisfactory - they mostly hire unqualified tutors and overcharge for everything (speaking from experience). I think I’m going to give up on the Czech market and start working internationally again. If anyone is interested in lessons or has any tips, hit me up!

Looking for an enthusiastic Dutch learning partner

Hi everyone, my Dutch learning journey started a few years ago when I moved to the Netherlands. My focus on the language has been on and off because of busy life or less motivation. That changed earlier this year when I decided that I want to be able to use Dutch in my everyday life (and hopefully work too).

This is going well so far and I am practicing or studying almost every day. I think my level now is somewhere between A2 and B1.

Now I think it would be nice to have a learning partner who is also motivated, has a similar Dutch level, and preferably also similar age 😊 ( late 20s / yearly 30s).

What I want to focus on in the upcoming period is trying to talk with real people. Starting with conversations in the street / shop etc. And maybe later join activities I a Dutch speaking environment.

If you are interested, lets connect and practice together (online or offline) and motivate each others!

Tot later! 😏

Offering: Arabic (Native) | Seeking: French and/or English

Hii everyone!

I'm a native Arabic speaker from Algeria, looking for language exchange partners to improve my French and English through regular conversations.

I'm preparing to pursue my PhD in Canada, so I'd like to improve my speaking skills, fluency, and confidence in both languages before moving there.

In exchange, I can help you with Arabic, whether you're interested in Algerian Darija for everyday conversations or Modern Standard Arabic (Fusha).

My current level is around B2 in both French and English. I'm happy to discuss different topics, correct each other's mistakes, and help each other improve.

We can start with text messages and, if we get along, move on to voice calls.

If you're interested, feel free to send me a DM!

Offering: English (Native) | Seeking: Japanese

Hello! My name is Rafael. I'm 27M. I'm looking to make some friends who can help me learn and study Japanese. Preferably if you're a native speaker or at least fluent. I am from the united states (which I know will be difficult to meet people from Japan because of timezones but I sometimes stay up late.) I work at Daiso. I have been studying what I can from anime, podcasts, language learning apps, and youtube videos but it would be nice to meet some friends who can help me learn more and help me study and practice. I would be willing to help you learn English too if you want or need it. Hope to meet you soon!

[Offering] Korean 🇰🇷 | [Seeking] English 🇺🇸

Hi everyone! 😊

I'm a 37-year-old Korean guy living in Cheonan, South Korea.

I work in marketing for an international car trading company, and my job requires me to travel abroad. That's why I really want to improve my English, especially for everyday conversations.

To be honest, I'm a complete beginner in English, so I might be a little slow when replying or making sentences. I hope you don't mind! 😅

But I believe that if we are both patient and willing to help each other, we can learn a lot together.

I'd be more than happy to help you learn Korean and share a little about Korean culture and daily life.

I'm looking for a friendly language exchange partner who can help me with English while I help them with Korean.

I'd prefer to start with texting since my speaking skills are still very basic.

No pressure, no stress. Let's just enjoy learning together and hopefully become good friends along the way!

Feel free to send me a message anytime. 😊🇰🇷

Offering English: Seeking Korean

Hi! 40sF in NC, USA seeking native Korean speaker. My availability is fairly open to schedule voice or vid chats and work with your time zones. I'm a real beginner (A0-A1) in Korean but have enough to help you understand me and learning more every day. It would definitely be English teaching heavy for the first bit. I'm a good student and I do learn languages fast. I'm highly English proficient and pretty decent at teaching. :) I have Discord and Kakao. Interests are music, the outside, adventure, travel, games, and sports.
