He only appeared in three original Looney Tunes shorts and was practically non-existent during the 90s revival, yet ever since The Looney Tunes Show, he has been treated as more important than Pepé Le Pew, Ralph/Sam or Barnyard Dawg.

For those who were around back then, why did this show get such a bad reception? Why didn’t it connect with newer generations while alienating the older ones?

This was probably the last serious attempt to revive the franchise on TV. Wabbit had way too low of a budget, and Looney Tunes Cartoons came way too late, at a point when cable TV was already dying.

If this show had actually done well, Bugs and Daffy probably wouldn’t be complete strangers to anyone under 22.

Not sure when CvA will conclude its US run, but it is starting to wind down as more theaters are dropping it week-over-week. Case in point: Starting tomorrow, only 3 theaters have showtimes in Phoenix, 2 in San Diego, 4 in Los Angeles, 1 in New York, 1 in Albuquerque.

Either way, this is a win for Ketchup, for the fans, for the Coyote. See it in theaters while you still can!

It made back its $70 million budget!
