Calradic Campaign Hydrophobia - Bannerlord Calradic Campaign #91 Post Event Summary (MULTIPLAYER EVENT)

Grand Prince Ivan thought little of the rain when he marched through the pass leading to Seonon. Quickly, though, did he discover that highland storms are a beast of their own. Every well-walked path became a trap for any traveling on foot.

With the drumming of Battanian cavalry growing louder, he ordered his men off the road and through a rock formation, hoping to flank the Battanian army. Unfortunately it’s difficult to surprise people in their own land, and as his men emerged from beneath an archway a volley of arrows rippled into his men.

Meanwhile, the two army’s cavalry elements clashed along the main road. Heavy Druzhinniks were strung out and picked off by the lithe and nimble mounted warriors, leaving their lighter complement woefully outnumbered. By the time the Varyags reached the High King’s Oathsworn their mounted support was already dismantled, leaving them stuck in the mud without support, subject to the business end of spears and arrows.

Rallying who he could, the Grand Prince pulled away and took a fresh group of men downhill, using the dense tree canopy as a barrier against the oppressive Fiann mass. As the whole of the Sturgian assault circled around the locale, High King Corbo attempted to move his own soldiers down the main road, but the very same mud that impeded the Sturgians slowed the Battanians. In the blink of an eye fervent Varyags had crashed into them, their axes finally finding flesh.

With his heavier infantry disorganized after the clash, the High King pivoted to relying more on his skirmishers. Unburdened by the weight of armor, his infantry was able to slip out of the same choke they had been caught in before, baiting stray infantry into archer sightlines. With men and energy running low, the Grand Prince attempted to retreat his men downhill to a small fort, only for them to be struck in the side by stalking skirmishers. Throwing spears rendered shields unusable and devastated those not lucky enough to block them.

Few smaller fights occurred as the Sturgians reeled from the opening engagements, but none proved decisive enough to stop the tide from sweeping them away from the dream of Seonon.

The Battanians would not be content with simply thwarting them from the highlands. As if spurred on by the storm itself, they marched on Kranirog Castle, bringing the rain with them. Sections of the castle flooded, and after a short blockade the Battanians launched their assault.

Kranirog’s placement in the nook of a plateau made the siege no trivial task. Attackers were forced into chokepoints watched by ballistae, their siege engines easy pickings for the defensive mangonels. Out of options, the Battanians manually cut down barricades to force their way inside. The storm raged as some of the most tenacious warriors in Calradia slugged it out in the streets of the castle, both sides paying for every step taken and lost.

The initial assault–despite its success–eventually lost its momentum and the attackers were pushed from the inner keep and back outside. For a moment victory felt within reach for the Sturgian defenders. However, there was a catch to Kranirog; the castle’s supremely defensive position that only allowed for one way in, limited it to just one way out. There would be no relief of any kind.

The second assault soon began. With renewed vigor and knowledge of the castle’s layout, the Battanians chipped away at the Sturgian’s footholds more precisely. Fianns manned the walls as the defenders lost ground, and their own ballistae were turned against them. The defenders found themselves fighting over the inner courtyard again, much sooner than they would’ve liked. The garrison fought down to the last man, making sure the Battanians lost for their gain.

With the fall of Kranirog Castle, the High Kingdom is now poised to attack a number of Grand Principality settlements, though only time will tell if the pendulum is still swinging in favor of Battania, or if this was its apex.

Welcome to the Bannerlord Calradic Campaign, which has just finished event #91!

The battle between the High Kingdom of Battania and the Grand Principality of Sturgia ended in a BATTANIAN VICTORY, with Utheliam Castle and Kranirog Castle seized!

When is the Calradic Campaign? The first and third Saturday of every month, at 4pm Eastern Standard Time.

Unfamiliar with the Calradic Campaign? Have no fear! The Calradic Campaign is a casual, player driven, story based event. There are no strict rules or signups, and players of all skill levels often come! If you've never tried multiplayer, now is your best chance to experience large scale formations and battles without the overly strict practices typically found in line battle/clan style events.

Victories in our flagship monthly events are represented on the overall campaign map, while roleplay surrounding the events and their consequences takes place both during said events and on the community Discord. Joining the Discord allows you to communicate with your fellow faction members, trash talk others, and rise through the ranks to one day become lord of a village, castle, city, or if you're particularly successful, an entire kingdom!

To join the event, you will need our Calradic Campaign Module. This module contains all of the custom battle and siege scenes used, as well as many stability fixes and balance changes. Most importantly, the module features three distinct empire factions in multiplayer, each with their own unique perks and cosmetics to lean into the different situations of the three!

There will be a manual installation of the module available for those not playing on Steam. Check the Nexus mods page no sooner than the Friday before the event for the correct download.

As a general rule of thumb, the Calradic Campaign module should be the only one enabled in your launcher! If you have any crashes or issues trying to launch the game / join the server, unsubscribing and resubscribing to the module on workshop will often fix any issues.

Note to clans: While the Calradic Campaign is a public event open to all, clans will not be allowed to organize their own formations and must spread out between teams. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in suspension from the event.

It is highly recommended you join our community Discord, as half the fun of the persistent campaign takes place outside of events. Meet fellow Mount and Blade fans, find new friends to queue with, and make fun of the Vlandians together in our community of 30,000+.

Calradic Campaign Heavy Rain - Bannerlord Calradic Campaign #91 (Multiplayer Event)

Lore

Seonon holds a significant place in entwined legacies.

For the Sturgians, it represents the pinnacle of their success against the highlanders when Knyaz Sigmundr humbled the not-yet High King Robert, fresh off the kingdom’s victories over the Vlandians and Western Imperials. Ever since its loss the boyars of the Principality have incessantly petitioned the Grand Prince to campaign against the city once more to retake their foothold in the Uchalion Plateau.

For the Battanians, it was the heart of the Wolfskins, reclaimed by High King Robert who bested Sigmundr in the rolling hills outside the city. Since its return to Battanian control its been a point of pride to defend the city at all costs, lest they tarnish the legacy of Robert the Redeemer.

It seemed only fitting, then, for such a pendulous history to repeat itself.

Having scored the first Battanian victory against the Vlandians in years as well as taking yet another Western Imperial settlement, High King Corbo finds himself having to quickly march back north to thwart an encroaching Sturgian army with their sights set on the city of Seonon. This haste is not without its repercussions, though, as he leaves an unresolved land dispute to boil to its flashpoint.

The Sturgian host is not without their own share of struggles. As they marched upwards into the highlands, dark clouds mustered. Soon after came the unrelenting rainfall that feeds the Llyn Tywal, leaving the Sturgians bogged down in a winding pass, while the Battanian response continues to close in. With a small nameless village and the pine canopy as their cover, they await the High King’s arrival.

Will the men of the Principality find themselves at Seonon’s threshold once more, or will they be washed away by the heavy rain?

In Meta Terms

Welcome to the ninety-first Bannerlord Calradic Campaign! This event will feature the Sturgia and Battania battling for Seonon once more!

If the Sturgians prevail on the field, they will move to siege Seonon, going north to secure Flintolg Castle should they fail in the siege.

If the Battanians achieve victory in battle, they will retake Utheliam Castle, then continue to push east and siege Kranirog Castle.

Mod [PoP] Introducing the Order of the Manticore

Just finished training and outfitting my CKO, stats are the result of training with Alistar and Leth being done until they couldn't train any further, and the two stat boosts using denars and prestige. I will continue to boost them if I get so rich i don't know what to do with all my money, but for now they are stat-wise stronger than every KHO as far as I know.

Lore-wise, they are the "special forces" branch of the Griffons, specifically designed to excel in sieges and otherwise support them on the field. Visually I wanted them to still resemble knights ohe griffon with black, white, and gold motifs. I didn't want to just do a "best-gear-in-the-game" clownsuit.

The Stingers (Knights) are using Pendor Heavy Plate, putting them on the stronger side of KHO armor at 58 body armor. They are a cav archer using Noldor Bows and arrows, and an Ebony Bastard Sword for self defense, which performs admirably on horseback since it is allowed to do an overhead swing, unlike raw 2h swords. On the field, they perform similarly to Noldor cav archers, though not quite as durable. Still, an easily recruitable, highly durable cav archer with Noldor Bows is nothing to laugh at.

The Claws (Sergeants) are the real heroes here, being a heavy cavalry unit with armor, weapons, and health as strong as every other Knight in the game, but at the weekly wage of a Sergeant. I designed them specifically to help me farm prisoners and support my economy (90 prisoners with only 20 of these guys after just two battles! Sometimes just one!) while also being a powerful siege unit, but they perform surprisingly well as cavalry due to the "units without lances are better at actually fighting" thing, similar to Phoenix Knights. They do very well when bogged down as well. Still in testing to determine if the Battle Hammer or Doom Mace is better, as I just killed Eyegrim during an "earn renown for the order" quest and got the mace schematics.

Overall, I'm very happy with these guys. I've never fully outfitted and trained a CKO before, despite 400ish hours in Pendor, I've just never been very good at it. I've never gotten this far, I usually end up founding a kingdom too early and getting overwhelmed, trying to cheat my way through the early stages of being a kingdom, and get bored from cheating. This save has no cheats, I have quite a few achievements, 8000ish renown, almost 270 honor, 300k denars, Laria, Valorshield, and Whitestag, good relations with the Noldor, the works. All of my favorite lords are 30 or higher relations, and I'm able to reliably handle unique spawns now, so I really feel like I've finally set myself up for success. Being able to win against 1000-large parties with my army of 300 is a very good feeling.

Bannerlord - "Heir" Save idea

Has anyone tried a "heir" save?

Basically play as a mercenary with the parent until the first born becomes 18 accumulating as much wealth as possible, retire the parent, and start the conquest.

I am guessing you will have to defend the near extinction kingdoms so that Battania still exists when the heir comes of age, but will the AI clans "survive" that much time passing? (thinking the time after the heir takes over as well). is it up to rng at that point?

The "why?" of this save i was thinking of is to use the extra attribute and focus points of the heirs to make a "dream team" of captains/scout/surgeon etc etc, I know you can still do this in a "normal" save but i always tend to be at the end of or at least half way to world domination when the first born comes of age and at that point, i am too invested in my main character to retire them and start anew...

Also does the game feel more difficult as more time passes or easier to you? I would say easier because your team becomes better, army is almost always full tiered and all that,

will a full reset at least 18 years into a save feel like an even harder start than the original?

Mod I turned Bannerlord into One Piece. The first big patch is out: Sea Kings in the Calm Belt, a working Log Pose and raiding from your ships (War Sails)

Hey everyone. I'm a modder from Spain and I've been building a One Piece total conversion for Bannerlord 1.4.8 with War Sails. The public beta went up on Tuesday and today I released the first big patch, 0.9.1 "Grand Line", so it felt like a good moment to show it here.

What the mod is:

- A new map of the One Piece world: the four Blues, Paradise, the New World, the Calm Belts and the Red Line. Most of it is sea, which is why it needs War Sails.
- The factions from the current story (Marines, World Government, the four Emperors, the Revolutionary Army, Wano, Elbaph, the Kuja...) and close to 200 canon characters, plus nakama you can recruit in taverns.
- Devil Fruits and Haki in battle. Fruit users sink if they go overboard, fish-men are nasty in the water, and fire or lightning fruits can set a ship on fire.
- You can ride the Knock Up Stream up to Skypiea, or coat your ship at Sabaody and dive down to Fish-Man Island.
- You can ask Luffy, Shanks, Hancock or Buggy to let you join their crew, or enlist in the Marines and serve under Garp, Kizaru, Fujitora, Ryokugyu or Smoker. Garp "trains" your Haki by punching you.
- A main story following the Road Poneglyphs, 26 side quests from canon characters, world events like Buster Calls and the Reverie, and a weekly newspaper.

What's new in 0.9.1:

- Sea Kings in the Calm Belt. When one goes for your ship you can stand and fight or row out of its reach, and in Calm Belt naval battles they ram ships on both sides. Conqueror's Haki keeps them away.
- A Log Pose. In Paradise it points to the next island on the route, from Whiskey Peak to Fish-Man Island. Follow it and you sail a bit faster, stray and the storms get worse.
- Franky's Coup de Burst and Soldier Dock (Gaon Cannon and Shark Submerge III) at the Franky House in Water 7.
- Coastal raids straight from your ships on almost every island, 74 villages now instead of 6.
- More going on at sea: drifting barrels, castaways, bottles with treasure maps, merchants in trouble and, very rarely, the Flying Dutchman. Pirate fleets work the routes, Marine squadrons hunt high bounties, and now and then a Celestial Dragon's treasure ship leaves Sabaody.
- Things people asked for after the beta: the newspaper pauses the game, the crew screen shows where each nakama is waiting and what you need to recruit them, a black market where a fence sometimes has a Devil Fruit, and every kingdom and lord flies its own flag.
- An early look at later patches: be born into Garp's family, Whitebeard's, Big Mom's, the Kozuki or the giants of Elbaph, learn fighting styles (Rokushiki, Santoryu, Sanji's kicks, Fish-Man Karate), small-crew bonuses, and an epithet the Marines give you once you pass 30 million.
- A pile of crash fixes, mostly in naval battles.

It's in English and Spanish (it follows your game language). Hair, hats and clothes are all built in, no other mods needed, and it works with RBM if you use it. 0.9.0 saves keep working, but a fresh install needs a new campaign. It's still a beta, so expect some rough edges.

Links are in the comments. Bugs and ideas go to the Discord, I read everything and I'm patching every week.

Bannerlord Bannerlord companions in taverns are too high level

I just started a new bannerlord campaign, it is just the beginning, and I am low on level myself, but...

The recruitable companions are really high level for such an early game.

Sometimes even 16-20 level. This seems crazy high, almost like cheating to have someone so strong in the early game.

Why is this happening? Can I do anything to prevent it? I would like to recruit similar level companions.

Warband What was your best moments in the multiplayer community?

For context I’m an oldie ( not actually old just an og warband player ) I played since the GK servers, hell I even went after Vinny_the_pooh every time I saw him for leaving the GK guys, I was Gelmar_the_vinny_slayer. I joined the 40th reg of foot in PF and eventually SPQR. I remember getting to be a rifleman in PF and god I could shoot far with those rifles ( to be fair they were extremely accurate almost like snipers lol ) I served in the cavalry in spqr and I remember the Tuetoberg forest event we did, I got swarmed rather quickly in that rip. Those really were the best of days. Hell Raya Vitallion scipio and even Marcus( he’d yell at me in teamspeak since I didn’t have a mic ) were the best of companions. Oh and I can’t forget Egil, god he could trick shot and everything with a bow. What were your fond moments in warband and its community?

Im in an incredibly comfortable position. What now?

I have reached peak comfort in bannerlord. As a mercenary for the nords I started a war with vlandia and they took hvalvik and the castle next to it. Then they left the island after devastating everything. I stayed with 200 men behind, hiding in the woods. After they left there was only 100 something garrison in both the castle ad the city, so I took my boat, dropped my mercenary contract, and over recruited until almost 400 nords. I had quite high engineering, so I took hvalvik quite easily and just when I was finishing my siege, Baron Ingalther landed with a doomstack of 1500 men. I rushed and attacked the castle with ladders only and took it by the skin of my teeth. Only 15 survivors. Then I rushed out and asked for peace and since Ingalther is such a nice dude, he agreed. Now I have my very own independent untouchable city and castle. They are in poor shape, but its easy enough to fix that. What should I do next? This is one of the coolest things I've ever done in bannerlord.

Warband Some weapons I've made

Mongolian axe/Nomad Axe
Atgeir (Norse polearm that's similar to Bardiche)

I've gotten back into modding, and have even tried modelling some stuff!

Modelling weapons is kinda new to me, so these may look a bit rough around the edges but I'm aiming to improve!

(Kinda felt bad for the Nords not having a badass polearm then remembered Bannerlord gave them the Atgeir, so I thought I'd try my hand at making it for my mod.)
