This is a writing system with the working title "Cadent" (from the Latin cadere meaning 'to fall'), any suggestions for a better name?
The glyphs are based of the 44 IPA English phonemes, plus a few extras :)
I haven't finished developing the syntax or this display poster, but I have already moved on to my next script and I just know I will never get around to fully polishing this one. So I am posting it here so I can forget about it forever.
The most time consuming part here was coding the renderer to make the digital glyph rendering easier.
Also included: Pics of development sketches and 'notes', fontlab file screenshot, renderer screenshots and excel screenshots (mostly to get ahead of the AI accusations, but also to show a bit of my process)

In 2023, I made Goliushi. I am not proud of Goliushi 2 (Goliushi 1 was deleted due to Google photos farty), so in 2026 I completely rebuilt Goliushi from the ground up. With a new Glaglotic-derived script and all (IDK how to spell it, the script slavs used before Cyrillic)!

I’ve been experimenting on newer, glyphs as well. I’m trying to get the symmetry to look better though.

Some of these have multiple ways of writing but this is one of the ways.
...
And no I do not have punctuation... I should though shouldn't I?

Made a cypher recently to make notes that no one could read as an experiment. Based some of it on some of my already existing writing systems. The point of this is to be a little harder to decipher by giving the same English letter (only consonants) two symbols. Some are grouped and have similar shapes. The second variation for the same letter has a shape that doesn’t resemble the first one. There’s punctuation and numbers also. No numbers in this picture though. Just words and punctuation.
There are no spaces between words. Only between sentences. I gave one symbol a separate spot to make sure it’s not part of the sentence. It’s a conjunction.
I’m not sure how successful I am at making it hard to decipher. I’m making a version of this that is vertical and has a different coding system (phonetically based).
What do you think? Is it too simple? Maybe I should work on some of the symbols.

I think I’m moving past basic glyphs stuff and started to add radicals to more basic glyphs.

I forgot to add the voiced consonant marker, it’s just a dot on top of the main glyphs lol

If prompted, I will happily produce longer sample text.
This is an attempt to imagine what the Gothic alphabet designed by the bishop Ulfilas in the 4th century A.D. may have become if it had become widely adopted as the primary Germanic script and developed its own shorthand/lowercase form.
Additionally, I adapted it to English by building it around a phonetic system I created.
While some of the capital letterforms I modified, the lowercase letterforms were my own, since when Ulfilas designed the Gothic Alphabet, he did not design a shorthand/lowercase to go along with the original letterforms.
I designed the letterforms with inspirations from other closely related orthographies, mainly Etruscan, Georgian and Cyrillic, branching off from the original Latin and Greek influences, as well as runes, despite the contested influence on Ulfilas' alphabet.
Example text in the Ulfillic English system: (<ll> represents /dʒ/, <o> /w/ glides + guidelines attached in slideshow)

Das Script habe ich ursprünglich entwickelt um mit Freunden in der Schule geheime Dinge auszutauschen deswegen die Ähnlichkeit mit dem lateinischem und Griechischen Alphabet.

First picture is the sound/symbol table, second picture is showing how symbols can be transformed into logograms (Latin linear -> Latin stacked -> Hharmari with diacritics -> Hharmari without diacritics -> simplified logogram -> full logogram.)
