Other Ive realized Norwegians feel being a same society like how Japan also expects their citizen to act or be doing. Be neurodivergent, specially ADHD is suddenly a complicated/social disruption of social norms. Dont say too much but also dont stand too much out.
They say the country is the most happiest out there among other Scandinavian countries. Have ADHD and it suddenly a conflicted thing socially. Depression seems at it high rate among us neurodivergent people in general and those who have autistic tendencies.
Growing up being diagnosed with ADD/ADHD. Process information and socializing was the hardest. Most would take sudden offense to me just simply existing or speaking in the same room. I info dump my interests for most part, I try stick to 2 topics at a time if anything. Forgetful or lose things easily is a problem and I can't shut up once I start talk about a interest I have and someone take small interest about it.
I had Norwegians mostly think I'm rude, lazy or responded with "I'm not dumb or I know that" yet I can't assume u knew what i info dumped at you or never once called no one stupid or dumb even. Its like Americans react to anything non American things and suddenly they take offense. It have to be something the entire society does as part of being the same. Copy paste something social rules and norms. Same for Japan, depression can be so bad for someone there if not follow social rules and norms. We cant stick out too much regardless where we go.
