It's a bit of a misleading position to posit that the real problem in our political system is mainly "tribalism " and "left and right" parties.
Tribalism is not truly about left or right, it's simply a values based view, and perhaps a humanity one too in terms of whether you think humans, writ large, and our wider environment/nature are more valuable than money, corporate dominance, and trickle down economics, or not
Ironically, some of the most tribalistic people that I see aren't unique to so called "left" and "right" parties, while attacking others as tribalistic for arguing against policies, politics and parties that the evidence shows is harmful/regressive to a majority of ordinary citizens (and our nature and environment)
The left have always favoured evidence based policy - whether it was Helen Clark setting up the mega successful sovereign wealth super fund (ranked nearly #1 in the world and which added almost $10b to Kiwis last year alone), or promoting fair pay, or the banning of deep sea trawling, or water protection policies, and for trying to tackle root causes in crime versus the US sty;e punitive approach of the Nats/ACT/NZF
That the so called "left" have been maligned for following evidence, represents the success of the right and the corporate media - think NZME and Hoskings (his boss going to RNZ soon), Murdochs, etc. and big money backers which almost invariably favour the right
The left have typically always respected and promoted robust Select Committees and evidentiary policies. Those take time and require widespread consultation. Delivery is always the hardest and fixing issues from generations does take time too.
OPP is great at marketing and I saw Qiulae say similar points about "centrist politics' and "evidence based approach" on Q&A this week, but in all honesty, OP/TOP aren't offering anything new in this particular regard, and I do believe it's rather naive to say it's some how a groundbreaking concept that they've invented to be "evidence based" and "centrist" and "long term".
If OP pass the threshold, it will be because of the stitch job on Ardern that rendered so much disinformation in the Kiwi psyche e.g apparently Labour "ruined the country" on debt (no they didin't, they did what every country did and did it the best in the world from a health/social/economic perspective - according to two Royal Commssions so far. John Key incurred $60bn debt with no-one complaining, but Labour's was somehow criminal when saving lives, let alone Luxon on track to incur $120bn debt last year)
People are tired and looking for someone to blame, and some thing to hold on to. And it's easy being a minority party, if you dis-believe that, just ask Winston Peters.
So yes, vote for whoever you want - that's the nature of democracy, but spare me your lectures about how groundbreaking you really are.
