Starting now QuoteIQ (previously restricted) AND Forever Self Employed AND Mike V (All About Pressure Washing) will be permanently banned from being mentioned or linked. Automod has been edited to hardblock any links or mentions of the two.
The reason for the banning is that QuoteIQ, All About Pressure Washing, and Forever Self Employed and (or someone working on their behalf) sent a modmail to us telling us to remove posts critical of both QuoteIQ AND Forever Self Employed and their owners or be subject to legal proceedings. The links to the three posts are seen here. Mike V from QuoteIQ and Justin from Forever Self Employed should be ashamed at trying this. They are apparently not happy that these posts are available to steer people from spending their hard earned money in a more meaningful way.
Here are some screenshots of the modmail messages they sent threatening legal action and DMCA takedowns:

Here is the person they hired off of Fiverr to send the messages and try the DMCA takedowns. Its clear the companies must be run by absolute clowns to be trying this is such a shit way. If they suceed in removing anything then ill just repost the posts. They clearly dont want negative info being visible when they get googled as its hurting their SEO because reddit shows up so high in the searches.

As a reminder, when starting out you do not need YouTube salesmen taking your money to learn how to properly clean in this industry. The info is out there on this subreddit and various pressure washer forums and groups. It just takes a little bit of googling with the proper terms to find it all freely available. These now banned companies exist solely to separate pressure washers from their money. Mike V has been pushing for his subscribers to come to reddit to post about their companies to comment and upvote each other.

Trying to figure out how this external unloader valve should be set on our predator pressure washer.
We have been starting with the internal pump on 3k psi and the external bypass valve on low and slowly turning it higher and higher as we need pressure. Ive seen conflicting information and AI is no help hahaha.
My pressure washer is now leaking oil at the pump.....
How should these valves be set at start up and how should I turn them when turning off the machine?
Do I start both low and slowly increase pressure on them then slowly decrease pressure on both before turning off?

I'm bidding on my old high school's football field bleachers and tennis courts and need some help on how to price them out. I've cleaned some in the past under my a buddy's company, but have never quoted them myself. The bleachers are about 22,000 sq ft (2 bleachers at ~11k) and the 6 tennis courts are about 35k sq ft. The bleachers are 20 rows Underneath the bleachers is entirely riverjack and rock. There's an asphalt path and old weedy grass somewhat close by, but that's about it. Mostly grime and dirt with minimal leaves. The tennis courts are 6 continuous courts side-by-side surrounded by dirt and weedy grass. Only organic staining and some leaves, but not many. The courts seem to be an asphalt base with a rubberized tennis texture rolled or painted on. This is in Virginia. No obstacles nearby, so don't really have to worry about the surroundings. I would greatly appreciate advice on pricing for each, as well as possibly bundling them together. Thanks!

Looking for a quality aftermarket replacement for Honda 16910-ZDW-003 inline fuel filter.
Do you all use the $50 honda filter? I feel they mark it up 5x.

Hey y'all.
Just wondering how professional washers route their hoses to the backyards of the middle attached homes of a row.
Do you go up & over the roof (if so, how?) or do you go through the house (if so, what precautions are used?)

Does anyone know of or have any recommendations for a cheaper, but still decent quality surface cleaner? I want a secondary surface cleaner that I can keep oversized tips on for lower pressure. I know I can just swap tips on my current surface cleaner, but I'd rather not keep swapping them back and forth. Thanks.

This client has a wooded area in her back patio with large acorns and organic debris that falls onto her new concrete patio (poured ~April '26). Gave it my best bleach based house wash mix and gave it a go with my surface cleaner but it barely budged. I only used the wide tip for fear of damaging the floor. From previous construction experience I know that concrete takes a few years to fully set. Is it possible this gunk is just part of the concrete now or is there a chem that's recommended to take care of it? Before and after wash shots attached.

I have a DeWalt 3300psi pressure washer with a Honda GCV200 engine I use for small jobs. It did sit a few months since the last time I needed it. It cranked fairly easily, but both at idle and in use it “surges” with a consistent rhythm.
I pulled the carburetor, made sure the pilot and main jets were clear and I thoroughly cleaned it, though it did look fairly clean already. After reinstalling the carb I’m still getting the surging.
The engine appears to sit on four grommets on top of the housing which allows the engine to rotate a few degrees when the pump is engaged. During the surging the engine rotates slightly in rhythm with the engine. This occurs both at idle and while spraying. If I put my foot on the engine to prevent any movement the engine runs smoothly, idle or spraying.
And yes I did put fresh fuel in it after I cleaned the carb.
What’s going on?

I have a roof wash job coming up and can’t seem to find any reliable information online onto which type of boots are recommended to walk on one of these. This is a huge house so hitting it from the ground would be difficult and I don’t have a tall enough ladder currently to prop up in the backyard.

Went and put a bid in on doing a soft wash on a 130 unit complex.
I made a follow-up just to check in with them, see what it looked like and just make sure I was still on the list or on the radar. They told me that the numbers that they had gotten back so far and I was half of the next lowest. And on this job my margins all look good even if I have to have issues and have to go rent a unit. I'm just concerned that me being that cheap they might just pass it off.
I want to build a long-term relationship with the community and get recurring business instead of one-time thing.

Hello good people, as said in the title, I was called for a roof wash, never washed a roof before and I want to be prepared, it’s around 2400 sqft, pretty dirty, any tips and tricks are welcomed, from pricing, to washing it, I did some research on the matter.
What do y all think it’s a good price, I was thinking 700-800, 5-6% solution should be enough?
Thanks in advance!

So this is my first month of operations and I got 3 commercial pressure washing jobs:
1. Welding Shop- $1,100
2. School District -$2,800
3. Mechanic Shop-$200
Im well connected in my city and got all these jobs through people I know and having connections. I’ve done residential houses but most have been for free other than 2 and they were both under $200. Commercial jobs seem to pay a lot better.
Should I focus my marketing on commercial businesses because they pay a lot better from my experience.

Hi All, hope this is the correct spot to ask, if not I am happy to take my question elsewhere!
I hired a company to powerwash and seal my concrete driveway. They came out yesterday and did both. My question, I was under the impression after powerwashing, it needed a day or so for the concrete to dry before applying sealant. Is that the case? Do I need to bring this up? Thanks in advance for the help.

I used Zep purple degreaser and scrubbed with push broom for 15-20 minutes and the marks are untouched. I have a 4400psi/4.2gpm washer with surface cleaner, I just didn’t want to take it all out and set it up if the cleaner isn’t even touching it. Recommendations on what to use next? Should pressure alone take some off?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
My pressure washer has been doing this for awhile now, but it usually rights itself and I can get the job done. This time, the problem persisted and I had to shut it down. Any ideas as to what is causing it?

The hose bumped up against the motor accidentally i think and melted. i really don't want to buy a new hose if I don't have to. It's a craftsman 3200 (maybe briggs motor?)

Newbie question here. Just cleaned my back steps and sidewalk with 2.5% SH, twice. It’s dried for 24h and I’m left with these dark spots. Is this something that I did, can be removed, or from the concrete work when it was laid? Thanks!

Forced maintenance Monday today.
Hopefully a local welder can fix it. Got the coil out, which is lots of fun built into an enclosed trailer. Going to throw some ends on it and see if I can better locate the leak.
Luckily I have a back up machine.
If anyone has any advice for the welder, let me know. First time having a leak in my coil.
Cheers,
Andrew
