It’s genuinely so frustrating how restaurants are using AI-generated food pictures now. I checked THREE different restaurants and all of them had the EXACT SAME picture for mac and cheese, just with different branding slapped on it.

As a customer, how am I supposed to know what I’m actually ordering if the pictures don’t even show the real food? The whole point of having pictures on a menu is to help you decide what to get, but now it feels like a guessing game because you have no idea what the actual dish looks like. I don’t expect some professional fancy food photography, but JUS SHOW ME WHAT I’M PAYING FOR. Why am I gambling with my money because you couldn’t take a picture of your own food???

According to iloveqatar this is happening soon.

What is going on now?
I was not keeping up with the news and saw this today.

What do we have up there?

Now that Al Bidda Park has banned pets, where can we take our dogs for walks? Any suggestions?

I usually walk my dog around bin mahmoud every day, but sometimes I take him to Al Bidda Park so he can enjoy the greenery and open space. It’s sad that we no longer have that option.

hi guys i'll be on leave on november, wanted to know if there's any upcoming events i can temporarily work for (paid onlyyy)

I would like to ask for advice. My wife and I applied through an agency for a work opportunity in the Czech Republic. We started making monthly payments in December 2025 and have completed the total payment of QAR 24,000. We have also signed the contract and were just waiting for our embassy appointment.

However, this October, the agent informed us that there is a delay due to the current situation and that there is currently zero quota.

What would you advise us to do in this situation? Should we continue waiting or consider other options? We also want to understand the agency’s contract policies regarding delays, cancellation, and refunds if the work opportunity does not push through.

Since we have already paid a significant amount of money, we want to know our rights and how to protect ourselves. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi all, I'm currently going through an ADHD evaluation at The View Hospital and wanted to ask anyone who's been through the process there:
Are they able to prescribe stimulant medication (like Ritalin/Concerta), or do they mostly stick to non-stimulants (like Strattera)?
Does The View's in-house pharmacy fill the prescription, or do you have to get it filled somewhere else (like HMC or an outside pharmacy)?
Any idea how long it took from diagnosis to actually getting your meds?

4 days ago I seen a group of kids wearing the Arabic “ghutra” and I started questioning myself if are they actually Qataris if anyone knows the answer can they please tell me cause I’m kinda curious.

I know that Qataris have the golden chip on their ID and also those who have Permenant Residences but I have seen it on other normal residence permits(not permanent residence), just curious what does this chip do and why do some people have it and some people no

Cuz i swear to god this thing almost became family, never leaves me alone, and it always feels like most places i go to has people coughing or sneezing which means i will be catching it again days/weeks after i recover.

I rode metro from DECC, upon exiting two officers came to asked me about my background, check my ID etc. They held to me like for a good 10 mins or so, until another officer came which I assumed a higher ranking one, apologized explained to that they got a report that I had a suspicious object, they pointed out to my keychain and thought it was a "joowish" symbol, star of d.

To note. this is from the anime Naruto, a sharingan...

They weren't hostile or intimidating at all, they were respectful actually. But its crazy that someone was paranoid or suspicious enough to report it. TBH Cant blame him/her given the tense geopolitical situation but still WTH

I was traveling outside Qatar but now I need to return back to Qatar to renew my passport (non-Qatari) which is expiring in just over a month. Will I be allowed entry? It’s a bit of a chicken and egg situation because I need to reenter the country to renew my passport but they won’t let me enter because of close expiry? 😫

I have my new QID and it’s fully valid for more than 6 months.

Soo I'm trying to take my acoustic guitar on my flight. For now, I'm allowed to bring one hand baggage per my allowance. Wanted to know their policy for carrying instruments, and they said I have to book a separate seat for my guitar?? I thought I could just carry it with me and put it in cabin luggage. Has anyone else carried a guitar or smth through Qatar airways, what has yalls experience been

Is it not okay to wear shorts above the knee while traveling on the metro? Yesterday, I was traveling from Mansoura to Msheireb when a man approached me and spoke in Arabic. I did not understand, so he switched to English, which he did not speak fluently, but I understood that he was telling me I could not wear shorts and that he would call the police. I have worn shorts on the metro whenever I go for a run at Al Bidda Park, and I have walked in front of police while wearing them without any issues. Yesterday, while I was waiting for the metro, he approached me again to repeat his complaint. When the train arrived, I boarded, but to get away from him, I jumped off just before the doors closed and waited for the next train. My overthinking led me to worry that he might be waiting for me, so I exited the station and took an Uber instead. Is there an issue with wearing shorts above the knee, or was the man just acting unreasonably?

Hey Qatar,

so someone last week posted about this Padel court in DECC Park.

I personally went and checked the court, its real. Free, Lights, 24/7 Open. Want to know if someone can help us with Padel basics and tips.

What to buy, what to lookout for?

I want to start an online business but my website sends with .com not .qa or .com.qa.

I don't need an office.

From what I read, you cannot get an E-Commerce license if the domain ends with .com.

What is my best option to register the company?

Just checking up on y'all because I'm a good non citizen

This kitten was found in mansoura. It has a collar and is healthy. If anyone has lost this kitten please DM me here.

I want to ask: Are we the only ones experiencing a partial power cut or a circuit trip? Sometimes all the lights go out, but the AC and sockets still work. Or, like, all the kitchen sockets aren't working.
