Just got done going through some all 22 tape against TAMU

Biggest takeaway so far.... Grubb isn't calling bad run plays it was a few times in that game you will notice if one guy doesn't do their job the play was getting blown up. #40 Ford is amazing, but he whiffed a few times on edge defenders which completely killed a few runs before they got started.

#88 Lindsey had a rep where if he sealed an edge defender it's a 20+ yard run instead he doesn't come to balance before initiating contact and gets ran through.

#70 Sanders had a few missed assignment working up to the second level it seems like he was getting a bit confused when we were running counter.

Grubb needs to do a better job at establishing a rhythm with the rushing attack. But the guys are getting good push up front and being physical at the point of attack it's just not reflecting in the stat sheet right now.

I'm expecting we get this cleaned up during the bye week, this offense will never be a 200+ yard rush a game type but if we stay consistent with playcalling and simply execute we can run 130+ every game with the amount of talent we have on the oline and running back room.

Also we need Keelon to be a bit more decisive while running RPO's he tuck a tuddy out of #17 Browns hand, players have to execute and Grubb HAS to lean into the run more.

Alabama defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. is “not with us,” Kalen DeBoer said Monday at the Monday Morning Quarterback Club in Birmingham.

“We have an expectation and a standard in our program,” DeBoer said. “Team rules. Things that go along with that. There’s still some details I’m trying to understand. It’s enough to where we know that’s not how we operate.”

I think Shannon Dawson would be a great fit at Bama. His offense has been successful everywhere he’s been including WVU, Kentucky, Houston, and now at Miami. He may run an air raid offense but he is also willing to run the ball and mix in some runs for the receivers which explains why the total offense is usually pretty balanced. Seems like a good fit based on what the Bama personnel currently has.

“Ryan in particular, I’m hopeful that he’ll be ready for the LSU game,” said DeBoer before speaking to the Monday Morning Quarterback Club. “Really, a lot of the guys are, this is a big week. And they’re not in the clear yet, but we’re hoping that that rolls over into next week to where they’ll be out there practicing. 

“Not all of them are exactly on the same timeline, but Ryan in particular, I hope by next week that he’ll be able to give us quite a bit.”

Two of those penalties came on 3rd down

• 1st TD: Dijon Lee DPI on 3rd and 10
• 1st FG: Red Morgan targeting
• 2nd FG: Chuck McDonald offsides on 3rd and 4

The only drive with an Alabama penalty they didn't score on was the first one with Dijon Lee's pick six.

It is worth noting the first field goal did come on a short field after Keelon Russell's interception. The Aggies also had their own penalty that drive.
