Deluge is an evil mutant that Storm and the rest of the og X-Men faced during the Hidden Years (a line of comics meant to fill in the gap between 1960s X-Men and All New All Different X-Men).

Just like Storm, Deluge is a weather controlling mutant that can directly manipulate the energy that determines the weather. Unlike Storm, Deluge's backstory (an albino outcast from his village, only to end up being used as a lab rat by European scientists) caused him to develop a deep hatred for the Human Race, including other mutants. Also, unlike Storm, he's kind of an energy vampire that can absorb energy to become stronger, and his evil plan was to feed off the O5 + Storm's energy before leaving them to die.

Do you think he should be brought back?

Even those these two have never dated, I find their dynamic and relationship way more interesting than Storm x T’Challa and surprisingly enough this is a thought that a lot of other X-Men fans especially Marvel fans have so it’s not just me feeling this way. How would you feel if they actually decided to explore these two as an actual romantic pairing? Doom is a villain but it’s funny how he has more respect for Storm than T’Challa ever did and plenty of X-Men fans agree with me too, in case anyone thinks I’m ‘’ragebaiting’’ or ‘’trolling’’.

Dracula vs X-Men, Storm becomes a vampire. Night Screams is a great stand alone story, with art from the incredible Bill Sienkiewicz. Forty four years later and Storm as a vampire is still kickin' around.

Do y'all have a favorite spooky Storm story?

This is a very important question but if they did a storm movie who’s doing the music for it?

I myself nominate smaller artists maybe from the African continent or diaspora who can channel storm very well.

If they go for a bigger artist, Beyoncé would be perfect for this.

I may have messed up some parts

Gradually loosening Storm’s curls/coils?

I’m not declaring it intentional, but when Dauterrmann and Werneck draw hair, the tightness of her curls is evident. I was looking at the art for Maximum X-Men’a first issue, and Storm’s curls appear much looser than they were with the intentional character redesign. That’s not to say, hairstyles can't change in comics like in real life, but I really hope we start seeing the tighter curls more often again. Her hair looks great in Maximum, but I hope we don't see a gradual abandonment of her tight coils as they look so good on her.

So I’m going to ask as many superhero fanbases as I can this question. What are some traits about this hero that you hate, dislike or despise? Anywhere from a mild annoyance to a trait that would make you dislike any other character. I’m not talking about a way one writer in particular wrote them, or a time they were out of character or mishandled, I mean a reoccurring trait this character has.

I want to know more about the Goddess my knowledge is somewhat causal. I know her animated series version but not her comic counterpart. What makes her tick, where her morals lie? What she likes in friends and allies. What does Storm look for in a friend? I understand her friendship with Jean, but still some parts I’m missing. Also what does Storm not like in friends or allies. I see a lot of discourse of Storm being depicted too much as super benevolent. What are your guys opinions?

Is there a consensus on who our girl should date in the MCU? I feel like there are several possible options

Why it might be T’Challa/Toussaint- love it or hate it, the Storm and Black Panther pairing is one of the most recognizable, also Storm dating The Black Panther would give her greater crossover potential

Why it might not be T’Challa/Toussaint- he isn’t classic T’Challa, now I don’t think this is a dealbreaker, if Chadwick hadn’t died, they either would not have approached this relationship at all, which would have been fine since I liked him with Nakia, or they would have aged Storm up (an idea I’m not really a fan of unless everyone else was also aged up), the MCU isn’t the comics universe so they can get away with generational fuckery like this, at least in my opinion.

Why it might be Forge- He’s her love interest in X Men 97, so they may want to make that canon in the movies as well for synergy purposes.

Why it might not be Forge- He has not been cast yet so we don’t even know if he’s going to show up, although I personally hope he does, his powers are very cool, also as hyped as I am for new X Men movies, this cast is extremely white so far, so I hope that rumor about them looking for an indigenous actor is true

Why it might be Logan- a lot of people like it in the comics, and Wolverine is a very popular character so even if he doesn’t show up right away I wouldn’t rule out getting a rebooted version of him eventually.

Why it might not be Logan- I can’t think of a reason besides him being a hypothetical like Forge, but I will say I like this option the least. I’m not 100 percent against this ship, especially if the actor playing Logan is hot, but it’s simply the least appealing option to me.

Why it might be someone else- the MCU does this, it might just go completely random with it and put her with an OC or someone else unexpected

Why it might not be someone else- she already has viable canon options so this would be kind of dumb and at worst, add an unnecessary character.

My preference: Either T’Challa or Forge, I think both pairings have a ton of potential.

To be clear, I have issues with all of her canon ships just like I have issues with damn near every comic book relationship there is, but something being badly handled in long running books written by a slew of revolving writers with their own interests doesn’t mean it has to be bad in the movies. This may be an unpopular opinion but I have never flat out hated an MCU pairing, I feel indifferent to most of them and genuinely like a handful of them.

I did some fanart of storm for the first time and while I have my problems with it and will probably do a better one, I'm proud I finally made something, I hope you guys like it too.

Also I thought it would be cool if storms eyes had like the six eyes effect going on or maybe they reflect the aspect of weather she is going to use, I don't know honestly I just wanted an excuse to digitally paint.

Look, I have my own problems with the Storm solo (I even have a problem with this particular page but thar's beside the point), but it gets so tired when all the biggest voices criticizing this solo have clearly never read it and are just regurgitating thought terminating cliches.

No, Murewa did not write Storm as flawless in the solo and her biggest flaw, that Storm refuses help from other people and ignores advice given to her, is pointed out by Storm herself.
