I'm a Brisbane local and I built FuelFairy, a free fuel price app, mostly because I got fed up with ads every time I opened PetrolSpy just to check the price of 91.
It's free, there are no ads at all (and nothing to pay to remove them), and you don't need an account.
What it does:
* **Official Queensland prices**, straight from the government's fuel price reporting scheme, refreshed every 15 minutes. It covers every other state too if you're travelling.
* **Cheapest near you, on top.** Pick your fuel and the cheapest servo on the map is right there.
* **Your actual price.** Add your shopper docket, RACQ or fuel card discount and the map shows what you'll really pay. Docket and loyalty card barcodes are saved in the app, and when you're at the servo it offers to bring the barcode up for the till.
* **Trip planner.** Put in where you're going and it finds the cheapest stop on the way, with or without tolls.
* **Price cycle tracking.** Brisbane and the Gold Coast run on price cycles, so it shows where we are in the cycle and whether a jump is likely soon, and can send you a heads-up before prices go up.
It's on Desktop, iPhone and Android:
* Website: https://www.fuelfairy.com.au/
* iPhone: https://apps.apple.com/au/app/id6760637357
* Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fuelfairy.app
It's just me building this, so I'd really appreciate honest feedback: what's confusing, what's missing, what's broken, or where a price looks off. If something's wrong at your local servo, you can report it in the app in two taps.
Cheers, and happy to answer any questions in the comments.
