Events Launceston. About last night.
Launceston City Council, Tourism TAS and the State Government should be very proud of the event they produced.
There is no question that the Foo Fighters will always turn up and give their all in a performance.
The question was could Tasmania pull off a single, large 20,000 plus person gig. The answer is yes.
Entry and screening was easy. Signage was helpful. Access to the GA area was easy and streamlined. Plenty of bar staff. It was awesome.
I'm not sure if the City has survived the after-party. I left at around 2am and it was pretty loose. Hopefully nothing has gone down that may overshadow what an awesome event the gig was.
Full credit to the Fooeys. Absolute professionals.
Rock on 🤘

Events Tasmanians deserve fair cannabis laws
haepetitions.parliament.tas.gov.auThe Tasmanian Parliament is being asked to finally take a rational, evidence-based look at our outdated cannabis laws.
This official e-petition calls for a parliamentary inquiry into how cannabis is regulated in Tasmania — covering both personal use and medicinal access.
Here’s what it’s about 👇
🚫 1. Criminalisation isn’t working
• Ordinary Tasmanians are still treated as criminals for personal use.
• It wastes police and court resources, fuels stigma, and fails to reduce harm.
• The law is out of step with evidence and public opinion.
💊 2. Medicinal users face unfair barriers
• Costs are higher than in other states.
• Supply is patchy and unreliable.
• Patients still risk prosecution under driving laws that punish presence, not impairment.
• Tasmanians deserve safe, affordable access to prescribed medicine — without fear.
⚖️ 3. We need evidence-based reform
The petition calls for an inquiry to examine:
1. Cannabis regulation in Tasmania — including medicinal cannabis and the justice system’s role.
2. The social, economic, and public health impacts of current laws.
3. Lessons from other states and countries.
4. Practical options for regulatory change that better serve Tasmanians.
This is not about politics — it’s about fairness, health, and common sense.

Events Liberals cant Form Government!
From my understanding on how the Electoral System works I believe its very possible we could see
Hung Government or less likely a Minority-Labor Government.
Going based off the ABC Election Results - ABC Tasmanian Election Results
Liberals only have 14 out of the 18 needed to form Government.
Whilst Labor has 9, The Greens with 5 and 4 independents. 3 out of the 4 Independents elected are progressive (Not quite sure about Kristie Johnston) would possibly form a coalition with Labor if asked. And the Greens have already stated they would form a Coalition with Labor if again asked.
This still only gives Labor 17 seats, which until the full results come in no Party can from a Government.
Even if the current 3 seats which are in doubt go Liberal, they are still short one seat of forming Minority Government.
When the last three seats are counted we will either see a Labor-Minority Government formed. Or if Labor idiotically still goes the way of "Our Own Path" a Hung parliament can and will be the result.
The only feasible way Liberal could form Government is if that previously mentioned Independent
(Kristie Johnston) forms a Minority Government with the Liberals, hopefully that wont be the case.
Do you think we will get a Hung Parliament or a Labor-Minority Government? and more importantly please tell me I didn't miscalculate anything or got something wrong lol.

Events Covid exposure in Launceston
Hey, I know not everyone checks in via the app but if you went to JB HI-FI on Thursday between 2.40pm - 3.20pm you should get a Covid test.
I just got informed by Tas Health that I might have been exposed.
Good luck everyone and I think it's time to break out the masks again.

Events Comedy show in Hobart this Thursday - anyone want a free ticket?
Hey guys, I'm a comedian from Melbourne coming to Hobart this Thursday to perform a show with my friend Jarryd Goundrey. Between us we've had something like 30M views online for our comedy (and OnlyFans), but it appears that we haven't got a huge following in Hobart based on ticket sales. I'd love to not perform to an empty room, so thought I'd offer some freebies here. If you'd like to come, comment or DM me and I'll arrange for a free ticket!
