I wanted to watch some new shows that I haven’t seen before. I thought I’d be able to get a month free but I remembered I had already used it a long time ago. The shows below (including reasons why) have been suggested to me by a friend and I wondered if I could get this sub’s opinions. Apple TV is offering £6.99 p/m but I would have to commit to 12 months so would like the shows to be worth it. Thank you.

1. Slow Horses: I quite like espionage and dark comedy. From the sneak peek Apple TV has on YouTube I fell in love with the opening scene. The airport scene to me imo is absolute cinema. I quite like the British sarcasm in the scenes after that too. I’m quite interested. Again, that airport scene, whew \chef’s kiss**

2. Silo: Given that I love Dune both the books and the new films but more the book, my friend said that this is the tv series version. It has Sci Fi elements and political drama with entire world building episodes.

1. Foundation: Somewhat the same reasons as above but that I love Science Fiction and that the show has political significance my friend said that I should give this show a watch. I’m happy to give it a watch but I wondered how close it is to Dune or if it is too far removed from the SF and political themes Dune has.

2. Murderbot: I also love Doctor Who. It is actually one of my favourite shows of all time. I sometimes binge watch old episodes. It’s my guilty pleasure to pass** **time. My friend said this is almost exactly the same.

I would love any feedback this sub has to give. I appreciate it all. Thank you so much.

Apparently, filming for the APPLE TV series has started Many of us have been waiting for this, but is anyone able to verify this information in a more sensible way?

Do you believe that the project will be implemented?

‘WAY OF THE WARRIOR KID’ stars Chris Pratt and Jude Hill.

The film follows a decorated Navy SEAL who trains his nephew to stand up to his bullies.

Releasing November 20 on Apple TV.

On all of the marketing I’ve seen (commercials, World Series in game ad), they are labeling this series as “Streaming Soon.” After little research online, I see that it’s 10/30.

Genuinely wondering, what’s the thought behind promoting as “Streaming Soon” versus the actual date? Wouldn’t you want to list a date so people know when to watch? Just confused/interested by the marketing choice.

Apple TV hear me out. If you are not sure or decided it’s not financially viable to go ahead with season 2 for chief of war, would you be open to the idea of creating a feature length (tv/streaming movie) to wrap up the story line, especially the cliff hanger ending. Similar to what they did with the last kingdom on Netflix (seven kings must die).

Apple seems so uninterested in cashing in on it's popularity. It used to be if you had a hit tv show, you'd crank out twenty episodes a season, and you'd only have to get through the summer for the next season to air. Apple's Emmy Award winning shows are maybe eight episodes with some taking years to get developed and produced? How can that be profitable for anyone?

“Five-time Academy Award nominee and Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award winner Frank Marshall directs the film, which is set to premiere on Friday, January 29, 2027

The film’s title reflects the profound significance of Fleetwood Mac’s hit “The Chain,” which embodies a family forged by a shared passion and, notably, is the only song on their album “Rumours” credited to all five members. The song perfectly captures the complicated yet enduring bond at the heart of Fleetwood Mac, and its iconic lyrics became a powerful motif for the respect and connection that persisted through the tumultuous odyssey of the band’s rise to superstardom. The film’s premiere coincides with the 50th anniversary of the release of the Grammy Award-winning album “Rumours.”

There are just as many funny and witty dialogues at Slow Horses as Widow’s Bay, in my view. But why aren’t both categorised in the same way? IMDB describes Slow Horses as dark comedy but categorised as drama in Emmy’s.

With the upcoming season getting closer, I was looking for ways to do a full rewatch of Season 1 and managed to find an active official Apple promo trial.

Figured I'd share it here in case anyone is looking to binge Season 1, *Slow Horses*, or *Silo* without paying upfront.

I put the direct Apple link in the first comment below so this post doesn't get flagged by Reddit's link filters.

For those who already watched Season 1, what other Apple originals are on your watchlist right now?
