Research Study I’m a dad from Portugal who builds free games at home with my kids. This week I tried Tiến Lên and Ô ăn quan. Could you help me test them?
Hi everyone,
I’m Bernardo, from Portugal. In the evenings I build a small free games website called Velmoxia. My two kids, Kena and Johnny, are my testers and give me the ideas. No ads for betting, no sign-up, no payments, just games you can play in the browser.
A few days ago I wondered what it would be like to make games from the other side of the world, so I picked Vietnam. I read everything I could find, built Tiến Lên miền Nam (against 3 computer players) and Ô ăn quan (against the computer or two players on one device), and translated the site into Vietnamese.
But I’m not Vietnamese, so I’m sure I got things wrong. I’d really appreciate it if you could try them and tell me:
- Tiến Lên: where you’re from, do four of a kind and three consecutive pairs chop a 2? Do you play “tới trắng”?
- Ô ăn quan: is the sowing and capturing how you played as a kid? Regional rules welcome!
- The Vietnamese text: anything that sounds strange or wrong?

Thank you, and cảm ơn mọi người!
(Mình cũng dịch trang sang tiếng Việt, chỗ nào sai mong mọi người chỉ giúp nhé.)
