Community a few boring things that actually make a bouquet last longer
i work with cut flowers every day and these small things make the biggest difference
cut the stems again as soon as you get home about 2 or 3 cm at an angle with a sharp knife or good scissors because kitchen scissors crush them
strip every leaf that would sit under the water since those rot first and make the water cloudy
use a really clean vase and i mean washed with soap not just rinsed
fresh cool water every 2 days and trim the stems a little each time you change it
use the little packet of flower food if you got one it really does help
keep them away from radiators and sunny windows and also away from the fruit bowl because ripening fruit makes flowers age faster
if you can move the vase somewhere cooler at night like a hallway they last noticeably longer
pull out any flower that is fading so it doesnt drag the rest down
roses that droop their heads early can often be saved by recutting the stem and laying the whole flower in cool water for an hour
