For those of you with kids in public schools---
Do they get homework?!
What grade did homework start?
I have a 4th grader and no homework yet. I have no idea what he's learning or what he's struggling with. Is this normal?!
If it is and you're a parent who generally wants to help your kid/s out/work with them/help them work through challenges, etc. What are you doing to keep up with what they are learning?

If you have lost a budgie near South Windsor or Walker road area, please check around Giant Tiger across from Costco! I saw a bright yellow budgie on top of the building being chased by native birds. In general though, if anyone is interested in rescuing the poor bird (it will likely not make it left on its own), the little one is hanging around that area! If I could I would but I don’t know how 😭

Project was supposed to wrap up Friday. Google maps sent me that way saying it was open on Friday. It’s not and I doubt it’s open ahead of tomorrow but please let me know if it is. The detours have been a nightmare.
Seminole is open though, for now.

I am looking for a hairdresser who deals with matted hair.
SEVERELY matted hair, if I am being honest.
This is extremely embarrassing, but I have been in a very deep DEEP depression for very long time now.
And during this time, my hair has become extremely matted.
I would drag myself to shower, but when I was done I just never had the strength, energy or to be honest the care to brush it.
I would just throw it up with a hair tie lay back down and forget about it until the next shower, and it just kept getting worse.
I wanted to brush it, i really did, but I could never bring myself to do it.
Anyhow, a year went by and thats when I reached out.
I had made a post about this once before, quite a while ago.
I was finally ready to fix it, then something happened in my life, that just knocked me back down even deeper in my depression.
And things continued to happen, and I just couldn't pull myself out of it.
Now I wish I could say I'm completely better, but I'm not.
Not even close. But I am starting to feel better every day, and I finally have the the energy, strength and want to fix my hair.
So if anyone knows of anyone or anywhere that can help me, I would appreciate the help.
I am on a tight budget right now, but I will pay whatever it costs even if I have to borrow the money, I am just so ready to get this done.
This is the first step to getting my life back.
I am hoping to find someone who will help without cutting my hair.
Thank you. ♡

Let’s Chat, Windsor! We are excited to announce the guest for our seventeenth and final AMA this election season; please join us in welcoming Angelo Marignani, Ward 7 Incumbent and Candidate! He will be live with us Sunday from 7pm-8:30pm to answer all of your pressing questions!
Angelo Marignani is the image of perseverance in his bid to sit on City Council. Running for the first time in 2010 in the municipal election (which, fun fact, was the year that Ward 7 was created!), he came in second following Percy Hatfield. Running again in the 2013 by-election after the chair was left vacant by Percy Hatfield, he came in second only to Irek Kusmierczyk with a difference of 52 votes. After five further bids for a council seat he was first elected to serve the community of Ward 7 in 2022, and made a comment to reporters on election night in 2022 stating that “not giving up on your dreams is part of the ‘Windsor Spirit.’” Throughout his tenure on Council, Angelo has focused on many points throughout the ward, including major upgrades in Forest Glade Park and Elizabeth Kishkon Park, replacements of playgrounds and amenities throughout the ward, light installation through various parks, championing significant road repairs and transit improvements, and unending work on the Sandpoint Beach project. With his current campaign, Angelo is listing his priorities as follows: upgrading roads and active transportation, Banwell Road Corridor improvements, revitalizing multi-use trails in local parks with modern amenities, enhancing community safety through better lighting, traffic calming measures, and physical police presence. He has also voiced dedication to prioritizing municipal tax dollar use on current assets while putting a hold on big-ticket or legacy projects.
In the interest of developing and nurturing meaningful conversation between the public and those that look to represent us, we are happy to announce that Angelo would like to hear from you! Please note that all are welcome to engage in this event! Whether you’re a political pundit or just an invested observer, all questions are happily welcomed!
We strive to build a community where fellow residents can share in active discussion about what excites and concerns, or intrigues!
We don’t want anyone to feel left behind! If you are unable to make the AMA during the advertised run-time, please feel free to add your comments and questions to this thread; we will make sure that they are included in the rotation of questions for Angelo.

The first ever Windsor location. Nothing overly exciting, but good to see more Canadian chains in the city.
