Musk says he was behind Starlink speed restriction after service in Ukraine is restored

“Using Starlink, a civilian commercial service, for offensive drone strikes to kill people has never been allowed, nor should it be,” Musk wrote. “Ukraine military violated Starlink terms of service and used it for offensive drone strikes to kill people. That loophole was closed last week.”
But he maintained that the U.S. government controlled whatever changes happened with Starshield, the military-grade version of Starlink that is the backbone of Ukraine’s drone operations and communication. He also defended the role of SpaceX in bolstering Ukraine’s defenses since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022....

FACT FOCUS: Trump and Republicans blame France's immigrants for riots without evidence
apnews.com...Authorities and police have not linked immigrants to the rioting in France.
French authorities do not release the identities of people arrested and sent to trial. Unlike the United States, France does not collect data based on race or ethnicity, in line with a national doctrine of colorblindness, which aims at encouraging equality by ignoring race altogether.
Accounts of the protests and images of the unrest seem to show they are representative of France’s diverse society, which has seen influxes of people from France’s former colonies in Africa and Asia for generations...
