Kudos to Turing for Transparency
Turing, thank you for providing a clear, transparent application process because not knowing where your AI annotation work application is in the process, literally is so frustrating.
Because I work across multiple AI platforms to maintain steady freelance work, I’ve seen firsthand how poorly designed many of them are. The AI annotation and training industry for freelancers is still in its infancy, and application workflows are often confusing or opaque.
Rather than focus on the bad ones, I want to highlight that Turing actually provides an Applications section showing real-time status:
- Submitted
- Reviewed
- Shortlisted (yay I have two here right now)
- Selected (non-yet but soon I hope)
I recently had two applications move to 'Shortlisted' status—which is fantastic. Hopefully, they will be selected soon!
Whatever AI annotation job platform you are on, keep positive, keep taking evaluations and interviews because each one is a chance to make more money. It's important to remember that your evaluation skills will get better with each one that complete. Good luck to everyone!
