2022-2024 Value of 2024 mint xsr

Hi,

Hate to say this but if the value is enough I may have to sell my xsr.

Due to my new job I need something better for commuting and need the money.

I love this bike but I just don't have the time. I only put 1000 miles on it since new.

I did some minor cosmetic changes and the ECU tune.

The exhaust was done by the dealer. Garage kept, never even in the rain. Serviced every year.

Any idea what it's worth. Dealer said this year is bringing a premium?

Thanks

Im planning on putting some frame sliders or cage next on it. Really happy with how the seat turned out!

I’ve been meaning to buy a mt09 for as long as i remember. Finally have the money and means to spend on a bike. I’ve been loving the new xsr 900. And i want one. Was on the market and found this gem. Has like 1900 miles and exhaust on it. I talked to owner he said he brought it brand new and only rides when he is in the state, he lives somewhere else. He said its been dropped once and there are some scratches on left side but thats all cosmetic. It was listed at 5k and I managed to talk to him down to 4k.
I think i will get it just wanted some suggestions and feedback about stuffs i need to worry about.

2022-2024 Tail of the Dragon

Did the tail of the dragon! I had assumed it was going to be a bit overrated, but turns out it was a blast.

One thing- i was about ~28MPH in slow corners to ~45MPH in the straights.

How can I go faster? I don't have a lot more tire to lean on, do I?

ALL Pls don’t yell at me

I can already hear the angry comments. “Just buy a bigger bike! Don’t waste your money!” Cmon just entertain the thought:

www.danosperformance.com/Yamaha%20R9%20&%20MT09%20Superbike%20Package.htm

Definitely would require a good bit of work and mechanical know how but a 22+ jump in ponies is wild. I wonder how it affects torque.

ALL XSR900 GP Ergos vs Vintage Ducati 900ss

Post image
8 Upvotes

TLDR - How does the riding position compare between the XSR900 GP and a Ducati 900ss (91-98)? Tall rider, 6'-4"

Im debating between the GP and 900ss. Both scratch the sportbike itch, both win the beauty contest, and both sound absolutely glorious. I need to have one of the two in my garage asap.

Only downside is, Im in the USA, and the GP doesnt come until 2027. Is it worth the wait? Or should I use this winter to mechanically work through one of the Great Classics, a 900ss 1997?

Im worried that one or the other is super uncomfortable for a tall rider, and that ergonomics might make this decision for me. Yes, I should sit on them, but the GP isnt in the states yet. Is there a large difference in ergos? Is one more comfortable than the other?

A bit about my riding

- Own an R1200GS and DRZ400

- I ride streets for pleasure, dont really enjoy going over 110mph

- love the GS torque, love the DRZ weight & handling

- Im usually in the saddle for 3-4hours, but do love a 7 hour day

- Never been to a track day

- I love wrenching, so "vintage" doesnt bother me.

- Im an engine nerd. Both these engines are fantastic.

- Bad back and runners' knees, so Im sensitive to ergonomics

- located in the Bay area

2022-2024 Cruise control

Hey all, I have a 2024 XSR 900, just recently, when I put the cruise control on it starts flashing and won’t engage, but if I remember to turn it on as soon as I turn the bike on it’ll engage no dramas. Not 100% sure where the sensor is located to check it.

ALL XSR900 Fairings?

Looking into getting a XSR900 as my next bike, would love a GP when they come to the states but it’s just incredibly far out of my price range. If I were to get a XSR900 though I would do so with the intentions of getting fairings, rear seat cowl, and a bellypan, just curious if anyone else has done that and how hard was it? Seems the options on fairings are rather limited and mostly for newer models, so I’d seemingly be limited to a rather new bike which narrows down my options quite a bit.

2022-2024 "Modern Vintage" - 2024 XSR900, in the local state park

Road to the park to meet my partner for a walk. Realized i had a ton of pictures of just the bike but not many of myself and the bike. Did some typical power ranger poses. They managed to get this candid shot of me brushing some DEBRIS off my fendor between shots and we thought it looked nice.

Using photocraft (on linux mint, if that matters).. copied the color / numbers out of a kodak 200 LUT i had from when i used photoshop. added grain. added some mild halation in an attempt to emulate kodak 200 on a bright day. got a font that resembled cameras from the 90s, made it glow amber. bent the subject slightly like it was printed in one of those photo huts in the grocery store parking lot. rolled the edges with a gradient shade. put it on a black letter box.

the only basis for the kodak 200 was the numbers i pulled from the LUT and the rest i just vibed from memory.

I dig it, i hope you dig it too.

(ps, pipe is dirty because it is a fake, and its coming off this winter to get actually-cleaned and fiberglass wrapped while i save for a kelpi slipstream <3 )

2025+ Womet-Tech lever fitment on 2026

While the stock levers do their job, I've always run shorties. I specifically wanted to ask if anyone has installed a set of the Womet-Tech Evos on their 2026 and if so, if they ran into any issues.

I contacted TST directly asking about fitment on the 2026 and their reply was a little vague - essentially, they can't guarantee proper fitment without an actual 2026 in house (which is totally fair).

2022-2024 Anyone running a high mount exhaust with side bags?

Anyone running a high mount exhaust with side bags?

Yamaha tell on their website that "might" not work.
But I'm not sure they wouldn't.

Anyone experience with this exact or similar setup?

2024+ GP GP ergo concerns for short rider

Hello! Very excited to see the GP model finally come to US next year. Based upon all yt reviews, seems like GP model is way less comfortable than standard XSR model. As a short rider (5’8, inseam around 30), I don’t know if existing way to raise handle bars up to 14mm would actually help? Especially for a one way ride around 1 hr. Lmk. Thx

Not for Legend blue (Code: 0775 / BMC) -BUT- for the light blue and yellow stickers that are in the gas thank. I would like to paint (or create) some accents in those colors and I'm having trouble locating those values. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

ALL XSR900 custom cyberpunk build potential

Hi, I'm wondering if the outcome of an idea I've been thinking of would be any good.
I won't be able to try it for 2 years due to only having an A2 license.

I really like the look of the bikes from the game cyberpunk 2077 specifically the arch nazare from that game:

I know that the bike is a real life bike being the arch method 143 but its 100k+

but I was wondering if I could recreate my favourite aspects of the bike on the xsr900 platform.

Engine:

the first thing would be engine, currently I ride an r7 (a2 restricted) and really love the shunt of the bike, I don't really care for the top end power I care more for low end torque.

this is represented in the arch method 143 (real life bike) with its 2500cc v twin engine that has insane 151 ft-lbs of torque.

obviously I wouldn't be able to completely replicate this with an xsr900 but would be willing to sacrifice most of the top end power for low end shunt with a tune / ecu flash. On the topic of engine, the v twin rumble and sound is another aspect I love and wonder if any type of custom exhaust could replicate this in conjunction with a tune.

looks:

this is the main reason I think the xsr900 would be the perfect fit to replicate this bike with the already aggressive footpeg position and positioning of the engine.

the mods i think would replicate the look of the fictional cyberpunk bike (photo 1) would be a set of low clip ons to lower the stance of the bike

I also think that a front shock lowering could also help with the aesthetics (maybe not if at the cost of handling though)

the next mod would be a belly pan to resemble the arch

the next would be some sort of seat chop to try and remove the passenger seat while integrating the tail light and indicators

next would be a front headlight cover like the "S2 concept headlight xsr900"

after that a rear mudgaurd extender

I would also need/try to set the footpegs higher up and maybe increase the height of the seat and if possible maybe even get an undertail exhaust

this is currently all hypothetical but if you have any ideas on what model of xsr, a different bike that would work better, any custom parts or if the tune is possible then please let me know

anyway thanks for taking the time to read!
