Eric was an INSANELY phenomenal voice actor. He may not have been the first to have lent his voice to Warner Bros' iconic toons since Mel Blanc, but he really channeled the energy and spirit of the man of a thousand voices with the characters he inherited.

I always got a kick out of the way that he yelled as Bugs Bunny just like how Mel did in "Looney Tunes Cartoons". I also loved his double performance as Daffy and Porky in "The Day the Earth Blew Up". Hell, it's crazy that earlier this year I was enjoying his performance in "Coyote VS Acme", especially when he joined the many people demanding the film's release.

He didn't just speak for the Looney Tunes. He spoke for the fans as well.

Such a legendary VA gone way too soon.

Discussion In the wake of the shocking news of Eric Bauza's death, I'd like to give an early recommendation to the podcast "Bugs & Daffy’s Thanksgiving Road Trip". It was an official 2021 podcast series that featured Eric as both Bugs and Daffy, and it's a great listen if you want to hear his pure vocal work

The full podcast should be available on Spotify, but Warner Bros' Kids YouTube account has also posted the entire series in a playlist.

Image Beyond being an incredible voice actor, he was also an unwavering fan of the LT who was very much in touch with the community; I’m not sure if we’ll ever get that back.

I am devastated; beyond his talent as a voice actor, his passion for these characters truly left a huge mark on me.

Thank you, Eric, for continuing the legacy Mel Blanc left behind. Rest easy now and say "what's up, doc" to Mel, Stan Freberg, June Foray, Greg Burson, Joe Alaskey, and many others for us.

Discussion First Wb gets sold and merged with Paramount Pictures and now Eric Bauza has passed away at an early age. It is just tough being a fan of Looney Tunes this year…

Honestly with the recent news of the tragic death of Eric Bauza and the WB and Paramount merger. It is kind of hard being a fan of Wb and looney tunes given how the company has treated the characters recently.

I mean Coyote vs Acme proved that the characters had staying power regardless of the merger, but the higher ups do not think so.

At least Eric Bauza fought for this film and got to see it in theaters before he passed.

I would say “shame on you wb,” but it is hard to believe that the company gives a care to these beloved characters who made the company what it is.

Anyway does anyone else think it is hard to be a fan of Looney Tunes this year or what ?

Discussion Eric Bauza… Gone Too Soon. His Legacy Will Live On

It is with a heavy heart that award-winning voice actor Eric Bauza suddenly passed away due to heart disease. I am just at a state of shock and loss for words as much as you are.

Over the past 15 years, he has been the voice of countless Looney Tunes characters and many more throughout the world of animation. Marvin the Martian, Pepe Le Pew, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety, Porky Pig, even Sylvester, Elmer Fudd, Foghorn Leghorn, Charlie Dog, Gossamer, Dr. Lorre, Road Runner.

He was a once in a generation talent, he was our era’s Mel Blanc and he will go down as one of the greatest voice actors who ever lived performing his craft.

All we can do now is to honor his memory and carry his legacy much like his fellow colleagues and future up and coming voice actors ready to pass the torch. With the centennial anniversary of Looney Tunes coming up in 2030, I would like to dedicate this future celebration in Eric’s memory. Right now, his next performance is in “Daffy Season”, and it feels like a time-worthy moment to go to the theater on November 6th and during the holiday season to honor his memory. There will be a few more projects where he did voice recording this year leading up to now which won’t be until next year or 2028. I’ll still show up as a fan and a supporter for his talents

All I can say is that life is too short. Life is unpredictable so make every single moment, achievement and celebration count.

Eric Bauza will dearly missed. Gone too soon. He left a legacy unlike any other.

Let the fan community mourn respectfully at this time. 46 is way too young for an unmatched talent like Eric Bauza. He is irreplaceable and it feels disrespectful to compare him to other voice actors like Jeff Bergman or Bob Bergen and no one should ask “Who will voice Bugs Bunny now” or “at least we got so-and-so voicing him now”. It’s in appropriate time to ask that and we’re sure the execs at WB/Skydance are scrambling right now. We can only ask “Who will fulfill Eric Bauza’s legacy now?”

Let’s not be tone-deaf when the entire world is in grievance, especially his son. Imagine hard it is to lose your father at that age.

Eric Bauza was a huge influence and a major inspiration for many aspiring voice actors including all of Gen Z and Gen Alpha much like how Mel Blanc is today.

If you got your start or finding your foot in the voice acting industry and were inspired by Bauza, put that to use at auditions or when preparing your demo reels.

All of Bauza’s recordings and performances he had done over the years are on PVOD, SVOD and physical media. Support that as well.

It would be tasteful and respectful if Skydance / WB takes a sort hiatus on all active productions to address the situation and how to honor Bauza. Sadly enough, money makes the world go round and Looney Tunes is still a prolific major IP to capitalize off of.

With dozens of executives involved, the show most sadly go on. Skydance / WB would likely recast all of Bauza’s current roles. Sad enough that Jeff Bergman, Bob Bergen and other voice actors we all know aren’t getting any younger. The newest up and coming breed will have to fill a massive hole.

No one can replace the unbearable weight of massive talent that Eric Bauza brought to the microphone. Whoever honors his memory now at auditions and future recording sessions can’t imitate but create their own craft on the spot.

No one was ready for such a tragic event even in his own home.

Some of you are thinking about maybe keeping your health in check for longevity. Much of us are thinking that Eric Bauza is simply a once-in-a-generation talent and he cant be replaced, even in spirit.

Whatever happens now, we’ll carry his legacy and memory for the entire world.
