John Candy with his kids, 1980s
I’ve always thought it was kind of strange how you can miss someone you didn’t really know personally. But John Candy was such a big part of my childhood and his memory and movies live on and will always be very special to me.

Tributes Donnie Iris Has Passed
When I was a deejay, "Ah Leah" was one of our most-requested songs; it came out in 1980, and it was still in heavy rotation at classic rock/album rock stations in 1981. In fact, the song still sounds great to this day. I'm so sorry to hear that the guy who sang it, Donnie Iris, has lost his battle with cancer. He was 83. https://www.cbsnews.com/pittsburgh/news/donnie-iris-dies/

Remember the first time you ever played Sega's Shinobi in 1987? Developed for the Sega System 16 arcade board, the game introduced players to the master ninja Joe Musashi on a high-stakes mission to dismantle the radical terrorist syndicate known as Zeed. Shinobi was a critical and commercial success and eventually grew into a franchise.
