Wanted to share a video about F.D. Maurice that I made here. Maurice's theology is worth looking into for anyone curious about either the Social Gospel movement or Catholic Social teachings, I personally see him as a predecessor to both even if they do not directly cite his work, or how Britain generally coped with the changes brought on by industrialization. I see a lot of parallels to what Maurice experienced or faced in his time with our own.

I will clarify that ‘Catholicity’ used here is to denote practices and beliefs that are common amongst today’s traditional Anglo-Catholics.
Prayer to Saints, especially Marian, Angelus etc. praying for the dead. Liturgical, ritual elements such as incense, vestments, Ad Orientem, elevation, etc. Use of statues, icons, etc. Rosary usage, understanding of seven sacraments, confession, etc.
The Laudian church, and belief is often understood as a proto-Anglo-Catholicism and part of its lineage, how much of that is actually true?

Hey guys, I'm not Anglican, but I'm writing a paper for school on what the Anglican church believes about divorce. I know there's like 40 different churches in the Anglican communion, so I'm specifically looking at either the Church of England or The Episcopal Church in the US. I also want some official sources so I can do further research on my own. Thanks y'all.

Hey everyone, I’m getting baptised on Sunday. We had our final catechism class last week and discussed how the ceremony will go. I wasn’t able to quite catch how we’re supposed to dress. The priest did mention that we have the option for submersion or pouring and I am going to go the pouring route. But I don’t know if we’re still going to be stepping into the font for that. He was also pretty vague about what can be worn- church appropriate clothes. I usually wear a tshirt and jeans and a flannel top with sneakers. Would that be appropriate? I have a white shirt and tie etc but I really don’t like wearing them. Also, if I’m doing pouring should I still bring an extra set of clothes to change into after the fact? Please help! It’s my final stressful hurdle before baptism!
Edit: I did text my priest but haven’t heard back
