About to go view this 2022 Audi A5 40 tfsi black edition. It’s 88k mileage and listed for £18k. It has full service history. Is the car worth it and what are things I need to look out for or ask with the high mileage.

Hey everyone! I bet you have seen the recent influx of B9/A4 platform cars getting Android Auto maps working in the Virtual Cockpit. It looks super clean and even pulls off HUD directions. I bet you've also seen so many of them charge for it when it's literally available for free and likely built off other people's work...

People have finally broken through into the C8 A6 platform (MH2p), so I wanted to share progress and hopefully get people to work on this and compare notes.

Credit first: this is built entirely on fifthBro's mh2p-cluster project, bhushangahire's Q7 P2711 adaptation, and LawPaul's MH2p SD ModKit. I also used AI tools to help check changes safely.

Here is where things stand on my 2019 A6 C8 (MH2p_US_AUG35_P2711):

1. HUD Turn Arrows

- The issue: The HUD shows the street name, but no arrows or distance.

- The root cause: Drive logs show maneuver data is sent successfully (37 events, zero errors), but the head unit drops it. Software has an allow-list for what phone integration passes to the cluster. Street names are allowed; arrows and distance are not.

- Current status: A patch adding them to the allow-list passed code review and bench checks, but is untested on the car yet. Someone with a VW that shares similar HUD hardware was able to get it working with carplay, so I'm not losing hope yet.

- Workaround: Run built-in Audi nav (muted) alongside Google so the HUD shows real arrows following Audi's route. It's not ideal

1. Leaving Android Auto on MMI screen

- from my understanding the virtual cockpit is basically a video feed of what Android auto sees and if you click off of the MMI Android auto, the virtual cockpit stops updating and freezes until you click back onto Android auto. I tried a couple modifications to keep the feed updating even if you click into other menus and MMI but ran into some issues.

1. Shrunk VC View

- The issue: Shrinking the VC view cuts off the turn card because the phone renders a fixed frame outside the crop. Newer upstream code may fix this, but it is untested here.

It’s a 2021 rs5, and im looking to get some work done. First want to do something about the exhaust, it sounds nice but could be a little louder. Does anyone have good advice to make it sound louder but not cheap? Also looking into tuning it but don’t want to void the 5 year warranty I paid for. Any advice helps thank you!

I think VW's union boss should actually be grateful for how long Audi held off bringing production to the US. BMW and Mercedes came in the 90s, nearly 30 years ago. The unions in Germany have gotten way too greedy and it left Audi with no choice but to move even more production out of Europe. Audi publicly admitting that their US business is "not profitable" should be alarming to anyone that cares about the future of the company. Audi is not a charity and it has to make money. They either cut some jobs in Germany, or go bankrupt and then everyone loses their job.

As for appearing with Trump, any company executive has to work with whatever administration is in control at the time. Audi cannot afford to drag things out any longer and wait several months/years until new leadership arrives. For the record, I personally don't support Trump whatsoever

Had a lot of issues with my current A4 since I bought it. Didn't know about the oil and timing chain issues until after I started having to deal with them. I've read good things about the 2023 model year, but this would be my biggest purchase since my 2011.

Oil and brake fluid changes appear to have been kept up with according to Carfax history. Low mileage lets me get ahead of any other fluid changes that might get skipped on a higher mileage model. Clean title, 0 accidents reported, 1 owner.

Worried about the next big repair on my 2011 and kind of want to get ahead of it by just trading it in. What do you think?

Has anyone tried to install the RTMG Performance dq200 kevlar clutch pack?

I have an A3 1.6 tdi dq200 gen3 and with downpipe+map i am well over 300nm where the dq200 torque spec is said to be 250nm max.

looking for advice for someone that has / had the same problem or tried the installation of said component.

Those 1.6tdi totally fly with the downpipe btw managed to get an under 8s 0-100 from the original 10.5s

I installed a Mr12Volt P3000-AU26 CarPlay module in my 2007 Audi A6 C6 2.0 TDI with MMI 2G High.
Everything worked fine before the installation, but now the engine starts and immediately stalls. On the next attempt, it keeps cranking without starting.
CarPlay and music work perfectly, but my OBD scanner only shows “Error” and can’t read any fault codes.
I also found a blown fuse near the glovebox, but replacing it didn’t help. The battery is fine, and a jump starter made no difference.
I connected the gateway adapter and followed the installation video.
Has anyone experienced this or knows what could be causing it?

Took the RS7 out for a fall cruise through the Holy Hill area in southeastern Wisconsin. Perfect weather, some great backroads, and the fall colors are still looking pretty good. Hard to beat this time of year for a drive.

Good day Audi Community, quick trouble shooting question;
2018 Audi S5, MMI screen showing subwoofer not supported. Was working great, always was. Never push the volume past 65%. I have an appt tomorrow with a local shop that specializes in Audi/BMW. Curious if anyone else has had similar issues, and if so, was the remedy replacement or ?

Hi, I have a 2016 Audi A6 with 132k miles. My dashboard says "Inspection due in 400 miles". Is this something I can just go to a normal mechanic to address, or do I have to go to a dealership? I would prefer not to go to a dealership as they continuously like to rip me off.

Figured I’d shout out FCP Euro. Great experience (especially compared to ECS). Fast and on time, felt like the price was reasonable too. Planning to stick with them for all my DIY needs for my S3.

I’m looking to buy this 2020 S7. I’ve never seen these in person before but do the DRLs look yellow/faded or is this normal?
