Early 40s US based couple. Have traveled Thailand fairly extensively but not without our child. Looking for a place to stay with chill nightlife, coffee culture, shopping, and above all food. Most of our time has been in issan and Chang Mai with a few days here and there in Bangkok and we want to take some time and explore. Typically we prefer to stay in a neighborhood and just immerse ourselves in the everyday lives of the locals

Hi everyone,
Living in Thailand for a couple of years, but last 5 years outside of Bangkok, now moving back. Looking to buy some second hand furniture on Marketplace etc., but wondering on transport. Are there any apps now for short-notice booking for moving larger furniture? E.g. Lalamove? Can you hire a truck on short notice with some helping hands to carry on the app now?
Best would be short-notice availability (e.g. arrival to pick-up within 1-2 hours). Also happy to get recs for small companies/drivers, Thai language communication not a problem for me.
Cheers!

I've heard there are three top hair transplant clinics in Bangkok, one of them being DHT. Does anyone know what the other two are? Is there are particular doctor one should ask for in these other two clinics?

Did I miss any? I didn't include dance studios cos that would fill up the whole calendar, just open social dancing events.

Hi everyone, I’m going to Thailand for the very first time, and I was wondering what the best way is to get from Ratchadapisek Rd to Thammasat Stadium. It’s for a concert on a saturday, so is it a good idea to book a Grab there and back? And if so, should I book a Grab in advance? I’d love to hear all your suggestions!

Hello,
My sister and I are coming to Bangkok for a fetish event in November.
We are hoping to find some cool places to party while we are there.
We are not in our 20's and prefer crowd that is not 18yo. ( there are reasons ) we party hard and our favourite scene is Berlin ( clock multiple cumulative shifts @ Church whenever we can iykyk).
Would you have any recommendations for us please.
Thank you
V
Hi all, I am going to Bangkok next month and I am looking for secondhand Ralph Lauren shirts and cableknits. I found a store in bang sue junction called oldmulty_store. Just wondering if this store and others in that chatuchak area do sell authentic secondhand pieces and what are the price ranges?
Thankyou all.

Thinking of a private car-smash setup in Lam Luk Ka (Khlong 5), close to Bangkok — real workshop tools and safety gear. Would you book something like that? Any similar places near BKK?

Specifically wanted to test for ureaplasma so wanted to get a vaginal swab test. I don’t know if Red Cross would have them. But anyplace that’s affordable since they don’t have this specific test in my home country and I’m traveling so would want to test it.

Hi — looking for honest feedback from anyone who's done a rage room or car-smash experience (or would pay for one).
Planning a small private car-smash setup in Lam Luk Ka (Khlong 5), Pathum Thani — real workshop tools (hammers, crowbars, wrenches), safety gear provided.
Rough draft pricing in THB:
- Glass only: ฿500
- Seat cushion tear: ฿1,200 each
- Doors: ฿1,500–4,500 depending on size
- Rear end: ฿5,000
- Full car: ฿35,000 total
Does this feel high, low, or fair for Bangkok-area tourists or locals? Any similar places you've seen and what they charged?
Thanks.

I unexpectedly found myself in Bangkok for 3 days without any physical credit card or ATM card. I am not suggesting this as the best method to acquire Thai baht cash, just giving my personal experience. I paid for items from uniqlo using tap to pay, then needed to return the items, and was given cash back in thai baht.
I've also read that it is impossible to check into a hotel without a deposit on a physical credit card due to the technical limitations of tap to pay / apple pay to handle the deposit. Luckily, where I stayed allowed me to check in without any sort of deposit. Prior to checking in, a Thai friend who was helping me secure the reservation called the hotel and advised me that if I have no physical credit card, expect to pay 1,000 thai baht cash. In good fortune, upon checking in at the hotel, I was allowed to complete the check-in process without putting down any sort of deposit. My room was booked with Chase Sapphire Rewards points.
