For a "free-enterprise, pro-business" Republican who opposes government intervention and regulation, this is a curious position for O'Hare to hold.

Didn’t think it would happen so soon. I feel like we are the guinea pig generation - all of us, no matter what age we are.

Who's been the better mayor so far? I can't really think of anything absolutely amazing either of them have done so far.

When we were walking into the arts goggle last Saturday there were some lost twizzlers strewn about the sidewalk. When we were walking back to our car we noticed someone had made art out of them. If you haven't voted yet, please do!

On Monday morning's Parker County News, Festus opens with the last week of early voting, when every Parker County site is open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Friday. He also covers Willow Park's $10.11 million Proposition B and Halloween events around Weatherford. Around Texas, the state environmental agency suspended data center permits it had issued after Governor Abbott's pause. Cleaver stops by for Howell's Western Cafe in Springtown. Then it's Google's tree clearing for a data center in Finland, the Alaska Senate lawsuit, Serbia's election, NASA's Artemis III and IV plans and the GIMLI lava-tube mission, and OpenAI moving its model training offline. In good news, there's a VA North Texas family reunion, a homecoming king's kind gesture and Pinecone the therapy cat. Weather Pearl has the week ahead, with rain likely Friday, and Cleaver has Dracula at Theatre Off The Square and First Monday Trade Days. It's 1969-style black and white and runs 6 minutes 49 seconds.

Hey all,

I’m a huge travel nerd and am always checking for deals out of DFW. Finding international flights turned into a hobby, so I started Firefly to share the international flight deals I find as a little side passion project.

How it works: you pick your home city (20 right now, US and Toronto), and when a round trip from there drops way below its normal price, you get an email. It’s free, one deal per email.

Some recent finds:
Lisbon for $348 round trip, normally around $720

Greece- $301 round trip

Costa Rica- $232 round trip

What destinations would you most want alerts for? Would really appreciate any user feedback I can get!

You can still vote early this week. The early voting locations for Tarrant County are pinned in this sub. Election Day is a week from tomorrow (Tuesday, Nov. 3rd). Assuming we don't go to a "scandal-riddled recount" in Talarico vs. Paxton, we're done with all this stuff (and the ads/flyers) in eight days. If you haven't voted and want to, go get it. If not, just gird your loins for another 192 hours.

Conservative Christian nationalist groups have adopted the "Pine Tree" flag as a symbol of support for their political and religious views.

The flag gained renewed national controversy after appearing at the U.S. Capitol during the January 6, 2021, riot and outside the personal property of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito.

I normally take my cat to Lake Worth animal clinic but lately the prices for different things such as exams, bloodwork, urinalysis, x rays, etc have been going up. It seems like every time I go the prices for those things increased. I’m trying to get an ultrasound for my cat but they charge $675. I know that’s probably the normal price for that test but does anyone know any good affordable vets in the Fort Worth area?

Hey everyone!
Does anyone have any recommendations/suggestions on a good home inspector in the Fort Worth area? Potential Home is in the 76134 area. First time home buyer and wanting to have an inspector on standby when if I were to close on a home soon.
Thank you for your help!

If you are unhappy with the lack of voting places and the long lines, blame the County Judge and the GOP commissioners. Fortunately you may do something about it by voting them out.

Stand in line. Vote them out.

Hi guys!

I use Total Men's Health (which is all over the DFW area, plus Austin and elsewhere) for TRT and I've had good luck with them; I'm thinking of branching out into their peptide treatments. I'm new to all of this peptide/nootropic stuff. I'm looking at NAD+ injections based on what research I've done (energy/focus/ADHD mitigation). Anyone use Total Men's for peptides/NAD+?

Im wanting to find a firm to extra firm queen mattress thats not over 200 bucks. Does anyone know any places even hidden places that sell the kind of mattress I am trying to find?

Monday marks the start of the second week of early voting and while turnout in Texas has been strong compared to the last midterm election in 2022, the first week of early voting didn’t pass without some issues.

Tarrant County saw hours-long lines at some polling locations last week, which some critics blamed on cuts to polling places made by the Republican majority on the commissioners court.

Janet Mattern, president of the League of Women Voters of Tarrant County, a nonpartisan group that works to expand voter access, shared her perspective on how early voting is going and how it can be improved.
