New trailer for our 2-person team’s Zelda-like mystery adventure

Hi everyone, this is our new trailer for Graytail, a Zelda-like mystery adventure.

A few days ago we were part of the ID@Xbox showcase, which is where this trailer premiered. It’s just the two of us and we’ve been working on it for almost 4 years now.

For this trailer we tried to really show off the 2.5D look, with pixel-art characters moving through a fully 3D world.

If it looks interesting, you can wishlist it on Steam and Xbox.

Still working on the Arctic weather!

I've been playing with weather in my game. It's set in the Arctic ice and weather is a core part of the game. The clip shows 4 days over winter with different conditions. It's all dynamic and matches what you can read on the instruments.

I'm a bit worried day 74 weather looks like rain. It's close to midwinter and one of the strongest wind+snow combos the weather engine can produce. Blizzards are harder than gentle snowfall, especially if you still want the game playable.

Hoping to get a demo out on Steam next month: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5387040/Arctic_Station_Six/

made a couple of procedural pixel art generators for Aseprite :)

I love pixel art, but making a bunch of variations of the same environment gets pretty tedious.

so I've been messing around with procedural generation in Aseprite. made a tree generator first, and recently finished one for animated water.

you can change the seeds, colors, seasons and a bunch of other stuff without having to redraw everything.

still a lot I want to add, especially to the tree generator. threw in some previews of the upcoming update too :)

would you use something like this for your game?

How I make capsule art for my game! Witch & Dragon: Hope of Elements

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

After testing 4 different capsule artworks during Steam Next Fest, I got lots of helpful feedback from the community. Thank you all!

I'm sharing a little behind-the-scenes look at how I draw and put together my capsule art, from the initial sketch to the final illustration.

There's still a lot to improve, but now I have a clearer direction to work toward!

Hope you enjoy this little peek into my art process!

Witch & Dragon: Hope of Elements is a turn-based tactical roguelite centered around elemental reactions, featuring 5 elements, 20 elemental reactions, and randomized maps. The Steam Demo is now available if you'd like to try it yourself!

You can use the tool to stylize your textures and assets, create eye-catching marketing material for your page, add awesome animated effects, and use the texture ripper feature. With this latest update, I've added seamifier! It will help you create seamless, blended, or repeating patterns for your textures. You can check it out here: https://polyshades.itch.io/coolifier

My friend and I released our Fire vs Earth themed deckbuilder, Magma Karta, as a demo on Steam!

Hello all, 2 years in the making, we just recently got our debut game Magma Karta as a demo on steam!

There are many rouglite and gambling elements in Magma Karta. The way its played is simple overall, the card you play must beat these 3 declares to attack:

1.) Your played card must be higher then your opponents

2.) Played card must match the even or odd declare on the left

3.) Played card must be opposite element to your opponents heart card

What makes Magma Karta unique is the Magma cards you purchase from the shop as the game goes on, they drastically change your play style and can combo to create your own unique strategy's.

The constant change in rules with the boss cards force you to adapt and try new ways to overcome your enemy.

The gold you receive from winning can be spent on skin packs for cards, ui, emotes, etc. On top of being able to spend them on arcades to win unique skins.

We are actively working on the game so any feedback would be highly appreciated:

Our 2-person team's space RPG. We'd love honest feedback on the look: does it remind you of anything?

Hi everyone, this is Galaxy Foes, a space RPG for Android. It's just the two of us and we've been working on it since 2020.

The GIF shows a few screens: a battle, enchanting and the forge. We'd love honest feedback on the visual side: the UI, how readable it is, the overall look. What works, and what feels off?

And a curious one: does it remind you of anything? We're curious whether it feels old-school or modern to you.

If you want to try it: Galaxy Foes on Google Play

The Fallen Romans stir: a skeletal archer from two angles in Under a Desert Sun

New bony inhabitants for the desert! This is a close-up and top-down animation preview of the Fallen Roman archer in my game, Under a Desert Sun: Seekers of the Cursed Vessel.

I love the old adventure-film idea of skeletal warriors still guarding something long after everyone else has gone. Here you can see the arrow retrieval, draw and release from both angles, keeping the little details and the gameplay view together.

The Fallen Romans are live in B5.37 now, with melee fighters, archers and six melee appearances. The update also refreshes the Soldier and gives the two classes more distinct equipment. Thanks to everyone playing and helping me improve it!

I'm the developer. It's out in Early Access, currently 30% off, with a free demo if you fancy a look: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3273880/

Out of the blue, I received 1,000 applications to participate in playtests for my game!

Hi, everyone! Some of you have probably seen me here before, but I’ll introduce myself again

My name is Kostya. I’m 44 years old, and I’ve devoted more than 20 years of my life to creative work: writing music, creating pixel art, and developing games

Right now, I’m developing a 2D platformer called “Kettlebell: Inferno Hotel,” which is inspired by games from the ’90s.

I recently opened sign-ups for playtests, and over the last 3 days, I’ve received over 1,000 applications. This really surprised me.

I don’t have that many wishlists - only 3,500 - and I haven’t really posted any news, but there’s been some kind of unexpected surge.

On the one hand, it’s nice, but on the other ' why did this happen? Could it be bots?

In any case, I’m very happy. Even if just 300 people play my game, that’ll already be a success!

Maybe some of you will be interested in checking out the game itself, adding it to your wishlist, and applying for the playtests, so I’ll leave a link to Steam

The playtests will start on November 3 and last for 2 weeks. I’ll add a survey that you can fill out to leave detailed feedback on your experience after playing my game

Thank you to everyone who read this post! Steam link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4032020/Kettlebell_Inferno_Hotel/

Moura Editor, my work in progress 2d level editor

This is Moura, a 2d tilemap based level editor I'm working on. It's designed to be engine agnostic. I'm writting a game for the Megadrive / Genesis and wasn't completely satisfied with the current freely available editors, so I started developing my own. It's available on itch if anyone is interested in giving it a try, suggestions and feedback are more than welcome.
