I was so excited to explore them till I realised they SR zones. Its such a shame to have the most beautiful places to be not part of open world.

I genuinely kinda disappointed at this decision. Genshin charm is always been open world and beautiful maps. I remember how we used to save certain locations and take pictures with favourite characters.

Pale crown and flame feather are such locations, they are so beautiful and its disappointing they are shadow real zones. Now it restrictive to even roam there.

I know the entire area is about shadow realm quest but heck its just seems a convienent reason to make a shez map look bigger when in reality devs don't need to add lot of assests that generally requires for open world map. Plus shame when entire shez map is blue ice and only two regions which has some character turns to be a SR zone.

Since Miliastra I feel maps are getting smaller since start of nodkrai, but i thought nodkrai isn't nation so alright, but sheznaya gives illusion of big map when it reality 1/3rd of the map is nothing but shadow realm.

Why is open world maps is getting sacrificed in process of these new business directions. If anything they should be additional, but not at cost of open world map.

Temple of space isn't even large as Enkanomiya, Dorm man port is tiny expansion, now pale crown and flame feather. As a exploration enthusiast this is underwhelming.

Ps - this post isn't against shadow realm, just saying shadow realm shouldn't come at the cost of open world maps. It should he addition not replacement of open world. By end of sheznayan if open world map is not big as sumeru, than my entire post about getting lesser open world will turn out to be truth. But the answer is at end, so hopefully we get a open world explorable map as big or bigger than Sumeru.

It's really easy to forget that the Traveler's name is canonically Aether/Lumine and that the name the player picks is just a fake alias we've been using this entire time.

I love how the weapons become so small when used by the small characters. Flins had to come home to make his weapon look intimidating again.

My country is Malaysia, so it was a real shocker to find these out in the wild

I genuinely love Genshin Impact, but I find the current state of its PC graphics pretty disappointing, especially considering how successful the game has become.

I'm playing on a high-end PC and a 32-inch 4K OLED monitor, and even with every setting maxed out, the low-resolution textures are hard to ignore. Character outfits during dialogue close-ups, rocks, environmental details, and even parts of the UI often look noticeably blurry. Some assets even seem sharper on consoles and certain phones.

What's especially frustrating is that other HoYoverse games, like Zenless Zone Zero and Honkai: Star Rail, have received more modern PC graphics features and improvements, while Genshin still feels neglected in this area.

Community-created graphics mods have already demonstrated how much better Genshin could look with improved textures. Unfortunately, using them carries potential ToS violations and account risks.

I'm not asking for photorealistic graphics or a different art style. I just want to enjoy Genshin's beautiful world with properly detailed textures on modern hardware. An optional high-resolution texture pack would be a fantastic start without affecting players on lower-end devices.

I'm happy to spend money on games I love, but it's hard to justify investing much in Genshin when its PC graphics receive so little attention from a multibillion-dollar company.

I really hope HoYoverse considers giving the PC version some much-needed love. This beautiful game deserves better.

I'm sorry Anastasya and Traveller but white has no hope of winning here😭. It is a forced mate in 5 for black here and it isn't even difficult to find 😭.
Also for "The black king remains seated in his throne " is completely untrue cuz the black king has moved from e8 to d8 .

Also when deciding to move for black the white knight magically changes its position .

White is absolutely cooked and its forced mate in 5 . Maybe they are trying to show us how cooked Tsaritsa actually is her rebellion who knows?

If it's only a parallel for how tsaritsa luring rhinedottir made them defeat Ronova then its is badly done . But I think it is foreshadowing how even after capturing the Queen (Ronova) its over for white .

So for this week's Tsarist Assignment, we play a little chess with Her Majesty, the Tsaritsa. She presents us with an endgame scenario in hopes of better understanding our character. She plays white while we play black.

Now, despite being a mere 600 elo scrub, both Paimon and I are able to see that white is at a severe disadvantage, with basically very little chance at winning. And yet, the Traveler says that white has a chance if it moves first in this scenario...

WHAT?!?!

I mean, technically speaking sure, if you blunder every single one of your piece maybe.

The Tsaritsa moves Bd4, attacking the queen (which according to the engine is a blunder btw). And here we are presented with 3 options.

Move forward: Qc1, and then white captures the queen with Nxc1.
Move back: Illegal move. Queen cannot move any squares back as she is blocked by her own pieces.
Capture the opponent's piece: Qxb4, sacrificing the queen while taking the bishop.

Now without a doubt capturing would have been the best move. HOWEVER, the Tsaritsa then goes to say how she has "checkmated" the queen and thus concluded that the best possible outcome for her would be a stalemate...

Excuse me? I AM UP MATERIAL BY 12 POINTS EVEN AFTER YOU TAKE MY QUEEN.

And the Traveler then goes on to say that even despite this white doesn't just have a chance at a stalemate, but at WINNING, saying that rules and logic aren't the only determining factor in a game but also willpower and determination. Now yeah, those do help, but in chess you cannot go against rules and logic, so what?

Now I'm aware that the whole game was meant to serve as an allegory for her rebellion against the Heavenly Principles: Her attributing the black king's lack of moves as maybe a sign of indifference or arrogance; the fact that she is at a severe disadvantage but still able to force a capture on black's queen (almost certainly referring to Ronova); and lastly the fact that the white king (the Tsaritsa) lured the black bishop (Rhinedottir) away so as to box black's queen.

But I swear to god, the Traveler saying that nah she still has a chance despite the objective state of the game? What are you on about... I guess Pierro was right that "on this chessboard, 'checkmate' is not where the game ends."

Anyways, thanks for reading this far. Just to be petty I ended up running the game myself and absolutely just fucked around, even delaying checkmates multiple times just so I can promote 3 queens. I say very fitting, what with the 3 remaining shades.
