For-Hire Just laid-off

Our client recently laid off over 400 employees, and unfortunately, our company can't do much about it. They plan to reprofile us to a different account with the same salary but a significantly different workload.

Right now, I'm exploring new job opportunities, considering a career shift, and looking for ways to earn on the side while I'm currently unassigned.

If anyone knows of any job openings or side hustles where I can offer my services, I'd really appreciate the opportunity. I'm open to simple typing jobs, data entry, or other administrative tasks that I can do remotely. Weekly pay would be ideal.

Any leads or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

For-Hire Do you think I have enough skills to land a part-time job, or am I being unrealistic?

Hello, everyone!

I've been looking for a parttime job for quite a long time now, but honestly, I'm starting to wonder if my skills are enough to compete in today's job market. I currently have a fulltime job, but unfortunately, my salary isn't enough to cover my needs and financial goals, and some of my loan 😅🥲, so I'm hoping to find an additional source of income.

I'm not necessarily looking for a highpaying job right away. I'm willing to start small, learn new things, and take on opportunities that match my current skills. I just want to make use of what I already know and hopefully earn extra money outside my regular working hours.

Here are some of the things I can do so far:

  1. AutoCAD (2D and 3D)

• I can create 2D drawings and work with 3D models (mostly multiview projection of an object like mechanical parts, etc.) I do this as hobby cause i have a practise book for autocad.

• I'm open to doing simple drafting jobs or other tasks that match my abilities.

  1. SketchUp (basic knowledge)

• I use SketchUp mostly as a hobby also whenever I imagine a future business or workspace.

• For example, when I daydream about having my own studio, I like to visualize what it would look like and draw my ideas in SketchUp.

• I'm still unfamiliar with many of its features, but I enjoy using it and would love to improve.

  1. Microsoft Excel (basic to intermediate)

• I'm familiar with formulas such as XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, IF, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, and INDEX-MATCH.

• I can also create PivotTables and work with data to organize, track, and summarize information.

• I'm interested in learning more advanced formulas and ways to automate repetitive tasks.

  1. CAD/CAM and metal fabrication

• I currently work as a CAD/CAM programmer in the metal fabrication industry.

• My job involves creating metal sheet drawings based on technical specifications or engineering drawings, assigning tools, and preparing nesting layouts for laser cutting machines.

• I'm still growing in this field, but I have actual workplace experience with CAD/CAM processes. And i use Radan Software.

  1. Basic IT and networking

• In my previous job, I worked in an IT department as a Network Operations Engineer.

• I have experience with basic network troubleshooting, IP addressing, networking devices, and other network-related tasks.

I know I'm not an expert in all these areas, and I'm not claiming to be one. I have a lot more to learn, but I'm willing to improve and take on tasks that I can handle.

I've also been exploring other skills that I could potentially turn into a side income, but sometimes I get overwhelmed because there are so many people offering similar services online.

I'm based in the Philippines and currently work full-time, so I'm mainly looking for remote work or flexible projects that I can do outside my working hours.

If anyone has suggestions, advice, or even small projects that might be a good fit for my current skill set, I'd be happy to hear them.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I really appreciate any advice or guidance! 🥰🥰🥰

For-Hire Is ₱20,000 a fair starting salary for a graphic designer in Manila? Should I accept or leave

Hi everyone! I'd like to ask for some advice and insights regarding a job offer I recently received.

I recently passed an interview for a graphic designer position, and I'm now preparing the requirements. They offered me ₱20,000 per month, and honestly, I'm a bit torn about whether I should accept it or negotiate for a higher salary.

One of the main reasons I applied for this job is its location. It's very close to our house, which would save me a lot of time and transportation expenses. With the expected effects of El Niño, the rising cost of living, and the daily traffic and transportation challenges in Metro Manila, especially Manila, having a workplace nearby is a huge advantage for me.

A little background about myself: I recently returned to the Philippines in February after staying abroad. My background is primarily in hospitality, particularly the hotel industry, but graphic design has always been my passion. I've been doing graphic design for around seven years through personal projects, side jobs, and freelance work.

Although I have experience creating designs, this would be my first formal company position as a graphic designer. I've applied to several online jobs, but I haven't secured a long-term opportunity yet, so I'm also considering the stability and experience this position could provide.

My concern is that ₱20,000 feels a little low considering my years of experience, even though most of it wasn't gained through formal employment. On the other hand, I understand that getting my first official graphic design role could help me build my professional experience and open doors to better opportunities in the future.

I'd really appreciate your advice on a few things:

  • Is ₱20,000 a reasonable starting salary for a graphic designer in Manila?
  • Given my seven years of personal projects and side-job experience, would it be reasonable to negotiate for a higher salary even though this is my first formal design position?
  • Would you accept the offer because of the convenient location and opportunity to gain corporate experience, or would you continue looking for a higher-paying job?
  • If I accept, what should I consider to make sure I'm not limiting my future career growth?

I'm genuinely interested in pursuing graphic design as a long-term career, but I also want to make a practical financial decision.

I'd appreciate hearing from graphic designers, especially those who started with freelance or personal projects before getting their first corporate job. Thank you!

21M college student looking for a part-time virtual jobs that can pay even below 700.

For-Hire My Experience at Aguila Auto Glass — yung may blue background at red eagle.

Grabe, ang baho ng warehouse. Tapat ba naman ng landfill ng basura. Napakaalikabok, tapos kapag umuulan, bumabaha at sobrang putik.
