Hello, everyone!
I've been looking for a parttime job for quite a long time now, but honestly, I'm starting to wonder if my skills are enough to compete in today's job market. I currently have a fulltime job, but unfortunately, my salary isn't enough to cover my needs and financial goals, and some of my loan π
π₯², so I'm hoping to find an additional source of income.
I'm not necessarily looking for a highpaying job right away. I'm willing to start small, learn new things, and take on opportunities that match my current skills. I just want to make use of what I already know and hopefully earn extra money outside my regular working hours.
Here are some of the things I can do so far:
- AutoCAD (2D and 3D)
β’ I can create 2D drawings and work with 3D models (mostly multiview projection of an object like mechanical parts, etc.) I do this as hobby cause i have a practise book for autocad.
β’ I'm open to doing simple drafting jobs or other tasks that match my abilities.
- SketchUp (basic knowledge)
β’ I use SketchUp mostly as a hobby also whenever I imagine a future business or workspace.
β’ For example, when I daydream about having my own studio, I like to visualize what it would look like and draw my ideas in SketchUp.
β’ I'm still unfamiliar with many of its features, but I enjoy using it and would love to improve.
- Microsoft Excel (basic to intermediate)
β’ I'm familiar with formulas such as XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, IF, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, and INDEX-MATCH.
β’ I can also create PivotTables and work with data to organize, track, and summarize information.
β’ I'm interested in learning more advanced formulas and ways to automate repetitive tasks.
- CAD/CAM and metal fabrication
β’ I currently work as a CAD/CAM programmer in the metal fabrication industry.
β’ My job involves creating metal sheet drawings based on technical specifications or engineering drawings, assigning tools, and preparing nesting layouts for laser cutting machines.
β’ I'm still growing in this field, but I have actual workplace experience with CAD/CAM processes. And i use Radan Software.
- Basic IT and networking
β’ In my previous job, I worked in an IT department as a Network Operations Engineer.
β’ I have experience with basic network troubleshooting, IP addressing, networking devices, and other network-related tasks.
I know I'm not an expert in all these areas, and I'm not claiming to be one. I have a lot more to learn, but I'm willing to improve and take on tasks that I can handle.
I've also been exploring other skills that I could potentially turn into a side income, but sometimes I get overwhelmed because there are so many people offering similar services online.
I'm based in the Philippines and currently work full-time, so I'm mainly looking for remote work or flexible projects that I can do outside my working hours.
If anyone has suggestions, advice, or even small projects that might be a good fit for my current skill set, I'd be happy to hear them.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I really appreciate any advice or guidance! π₯°π₯°π₯°
