I watched the VOD from the BC BUILDS 6-storey project council meeting hearing thing, that will now probably be dead in the water with the new council.

Why was it hated? I heard a few people saying OCPs can't be changed, but isn't that the whole point of OCP amendments?

Swinger/Eagle Heights, please enlighten me.

Looking for a dry cleaning service that can do sleeping bags… have 6 that need a good wash etc… preferably in the Willowbrook area. Called around and either got the answer of we don’t do sleeping bags or you’re looking at $180 a sleeping bag and we can’t guarantee that it won’t be damaged which is kind of bizarre but I get it…..

I'm hoping the reddit team can come together! I have a work lunch and am need to bring an item. Can I get some advise on where I can order the best veggie samosa's from, preferebly downtown Langley - but I can drive and grab them in Willowbrook area as well. Can you please share your top place?

Had a gathering in afternoon with buffet (north indian food). Still have food which should be good for 8-10 people. Any suggestions where i can offer it.

Food was prepared today around 11 am and i can pack in containers as required.

I think I’m officially done with the NDP…

Near 196th and 56th… if you see this, learn how to drive :)

Any one into photography or are there clubs?

If nothing else, it signals they think there's a small chance they can win back Langley-Willowbrook. It was really, really close last time.

I'm looking for recommendations for a secure place in Langley to have my mail and packages delivered.

Due to ongoing package theft and issues with the neighbours in the shared home I rent, I'm looking for a reliable alternative to having deliveries sent to my address.

Ideally, somewhere I can receive:

• Regular mail
• Amazon and other online orders
• Larger packages and deliveries

I'm open to a PO Box, private mailbox rental, or a package receiving service. I'm also fine with paying a monthly or yearly fee.

What services do you use, and would you recommend them? Any suggestions in Langley would be appreciated!

Back at it again with a big question.

I've heard both sides lately, so I'll ask you, Redditors.

Given that Mack did mention a referendum would be something they'd put up if her team got in, what happens if the referendum was in favour of giving independence up?

When the fraser highway grandfather clocks that belonged to "It's About Time" jewelry used to ring every hour? I miss that.

Does anyone have a landscape photo at Zero Avenue that I can use a thumbnail for my YouTube driving video by chance please?

Driver instructor in an empty parking lot gets attacked and assaulted by a woman and racism against a man born in Canada who was doing his job in an empty parking lot.

Did anyone else notice that Mobile One
On 64th and 200st have 3 giant signs endorsing Jody Toor? I know that the owner of Moblie one is Rich Colmans son but I was just so flabbergasted that they are supporting Toor, the lying fake doctor..

Now I need a new place to get my oil change done, does anyone recommendations?

Title says it all, tried a few stores and it seems most people either play cedh or precons. Looking for a place that’s into high power games with unique optimized decks. And not the narrow meta of cedh. Any suggestions?

Is anyone else affected by the LOUD late night partying outside the Tim Hortons on Douglas Crescent? A boombox blasting music, yelling, and rowdiness that lasts the entire night.

It’s absolutely outrageous for the people living on this block. I know the unhoused is an issue for disturbances in Langley City but WHY is this Tim Hortons nook such a hot spot for them? How can we put an end to this?

It’s a by-law violation. By-law doesn’t work late nights. We have a less than 50% success rate when we call non-emergency.

My young grandsons (4-6) are really getting into fishing, and I'd like to find a nice quiet plan where they could throw a line into the water and catch anything at all.

I don't have any local fishing spot knowledge yet, I am quite new at fishing myself. Someplace safe, slow water, no steep banks, where the little ones can hang out without having to watch them like a hawk every second. I'm aware of Silverbrook farm, but money is tight and I'm hoping to find a place I don't have to pay for every time. Can anybody recommend a place that fits the bill? DM if you don't want to give away a secret spot I guess, but this is really just for funsies, not looking to catch a monster at all.

Appreciate the advice, thanks in advance.

My last post went crazy! Thanks for all the responses. Got me thinking and I'll post more.

My next question is, given that Delaney Mack ft Achieving for Langley ran on no tax raises for the next 4 years, what services do you want to see get cut/think are unnecessary?

I have a friend that needs to upgrade some high school courses for post secondary? Anywhere in Langley that these courses can be taken? ( Math 11 ) for example.

Is this a good place to live? I’ve noticed a lot of unhoused people, has it always been like this? Will it ever get resolved or just get worse with the new skytrain coming? 🤔
