Moderator Post Moderator note: report abuse and political topics

On Reddit, report abuse is when users report posts or comments as breaking Reddit rules or sub rules when they do not.

For example, someone stating their political opinion about a political party is not a death threat. Stating an opinion in a way that shares a personal view without inventing facts or spreading falsehoods is not misinformation.

Reporting political comments as rules breaking means that moderators have to review comments and approve them.

Moderators can report your accounts for report abuse. These reports can decrease your Contributor Quality Score on Reddit, which can lead to shadow bans, content being removed from this and other subs automatically, or even being prevented from commenting in some subs due to low CQS scores.

Please do not report comments and posts because you don't agree with them politically.

I can't believe it's been 5 years since it happened, I completely forgot about this once cute little town. It's great they seem to be slowly but surely healing the scars of the past.

My online meetings will all be shifted an hour later relative to everyone else and will screw up my schedule. I also wonder if Microsoft is ready for it?

Discussion Another “Calgary Vs Vancouver” post but from the perspective of a single man who doesnt want a family or house, doesnt have a career, who didnt choose life (trainspotting reference?)

Hey, im a single guy who enjoys making bedroom music, eats very simply and doesnt have massive career prospects, just looking for a job that pays enough to get by. I am asking because every reddit post talks about “career, condo, house, family” as reasons to stay in calgary but I dont want those things. i just stick to my hobbies and a simple job. either go back to landscaping, warehouse or retail, coffee shop or grocery. i live like a monk, very new age fella

i recently worked with a girl from van that said having to drive everywhere in calgary plus pay for insurance etc makes it just as expensive as van with a transit pass. and if this is true, welll

I hate driving in calgary. i hate paying up the wall for insurance and gas, i hate worrying that my car might give up tomorrow and i have to pay at least 5k that i dont have for another one OR get a car payment that I DEFINITELY cant afford, i hate driving 30 km to get part way through the damn city. honestly i dont even mind the snow, just driving sucks. And i hate that rent is so much here now vs years ago. i hate feeling like i am constantly in my own little bubble except for the 2 times i see family members a month. i hate the dryness. i hate the altitude. i really fucking hate seperatist idiots and maga, i hate the two tier class system where youre either in oil and gas or underpaid wage slaves to them, i REALLY fucking hate idiots on the road, … im trying to think of more lol…

i love rain, i love grey skies, love the ocean, love the temperate weather. and more than anything, this idea that i could do without a car…. it reallllly inspires me. i lived in victoria for a bit years ago and loved it as well, buses were alright there. but i hear vancouver has a really good system

how tough would entry level work be to get in vancouver? its been horrible in calgary, and i have both rent and car insurance/ gas to pay.. i almost have something here again, not making split second decisions but planning for future, just turned 30 in jan (was born in richmond hospital btw!) also not to mention min wage is still only 15 AN HR here in alberta. so politicians, if employers can make more jobs on such a low min wage HOW COME I CANT FIND ONE. anyways just curious thanks

Ask British Columbia Why can’t BC spread out more industries in relieving pressure from Vancouver?

I want to use the data centres as an example, why would we build more in Vancouver when places are bleeding population? Would it be possible to build up other local economies like Nanaimo, Squamish or any other BC town that might be better suited? Especially for tech? I just don’t see why we’re stuck in Vancouver

Why are we stuck in Vancouver?
