It got recommended to me by someone, who is a bit of gobshite tbh, as “Scouse derry girls“. I watched the first episode and it reminded me of the Harry Enfield scousers more than anything, most of the characters sounded like they were from Birkenhead and I didn’t like how stereotypical it was y’know. Anyways wondering if I’m just being overcritical and need to give it chance.

Hii, I am not from Liverpool (or UK for that matter), but I am writing an essay about the Liverpool docks area redevelopment & the loss of the World Heritage Status that followed. UNESCO stated that the WHS was removed because part of the material heritage was destroyed and/or obstructed, but I cannot find a lot of other information on that. Therefore I was wondering if people here know where I can find more information or whether people here know if there are any exact historical structures that were demolished/obstructed for the redevelopment of the area.
I have a feeling UNESCO just meant the general area, but it is important for me to know for sure whether there are specific structures that got lost in the redevelopment. I am especially interested in the areas of Liverpool ONE and Hill Dickinson Stadium, but any extra info on the redevelopment and material heritage is welcome. Thanks :) !
EDIT: I want to emphasise that I am not here to express a personal opinion on whether UNESCO was right or whether the redevelopment is good, that's not relevant for my essay and I do not think that is something for me to speak on since I am not from Liverpool ;).

Hi all. We will be visiting Liverpool in December and staying next to Liverpool One. We also plan to visit Cheshire Oaks.
Is there anymore recommendations for places to shop.
We also want to visit a George at Asda (a large one if possible). If one could let me know the nearest one. Don't mind travelling on the bus.

I commute most days in Liverpool and Knowsley, and whilst it’s mostly fine, there are certain roads which I’ve really come to dislike riding on due to the behaviour of other motorists.
I’m tempted to purchase a camera so I can record and submit any problems with drivers to the police or local authorities.
I wonder if anyone from the area has had any success with this? Even to the point of campaigning for better infrastructure etc. Thanks.

Spent a couple of days in Liverpool last week and loved every second of it. Really enjoyed the Albert Dock, which I believe to be an absolute must see. Had some lovely weather last thursday which is when this picture was taken. Too bad the Slavery Museum was closed for restauration. My stay was short, but I feel there is so much more to explore in this wonderful city and will definitely be back soon. And for the time being, guess I'll just have to make do with 'This City is Ours'.

Looking to see if there's anywhere offering skill workshops in things like sewing, DIY or electronics tinkering. Or alternatively just a place I could go to try these things out without buying a load of kit myself really.
