Once the wood dries enough it will be filled in with blue tinted epoxy to give it more โdepthโ

This is the official r/Michigan megathread for moving, travel, and vacation questions. Self-posts and questions will be referred to this thread. We've moved to a quarterly format to leave the posts up longer.
There is also an extensive list of local subreddits if you have a particular area in mind.

Someone I know went to vote (early voting) and when they went to get their ballot, the poll workers could not find any record of them at all. After a lot of digging they finally found that the person was marked as deceased.
Uh oh.

This is a man who sent over 3800 texts, he has self-described that the text messages were โ flirtyโ before he started talking about soccer again. This is a 12-13 year old girl with conversations that went until 1-3 am some days.
He was suspended from duties as coach, but still allowed to go to the youth girls soccer games. He filmed yesterday during a confrontation with concerned parents. He tried saying the texts, HE described as โ flirtyโ were taken out context.

So, as someone with a lot of anxiety, what's it like in person? Early or day of, I'm hoping to work up to Early voting but in-person in general, what is the process?
Just wanted to edit to thank everyone already. I know realistically it's fine, but really thank you for all the input for me and anyone else worried, I appreciate both the gentle, full explanations, and the more direct "you go and you do" responses

Got home from my second job, got out of the car and looked up and saw this. Just an iPhone photo, but she sure was beautiful tonight. ๐

I just renewed my driver's license and wow... This thing will be staying put in my wallet at all costs because I feel like a strong breeze would crease this thing. Why does everything need to be enshitified?

I prefer the blue to the white but a lot of people seem to like the old one

Enjoyed the beauty of Michigan fall at Chippewa Nature Center this morning, made even more dramatic by a thick layer of fog.

Seems like every day I'm reading about conspiracy theories involving USPS and absentee ballots, especially in Democratic strongholds.
I live in Detroit. I received my absentee ballot on September 18th. I mailed it on October 20th. The clerk's office confirmed it was received by them on October 22nd. Same experience for my wife.
That is all. I'm not saying there aren't problems with our civic infrastructure, but I remain convinced that the vast majority of issues would be resolved if people would simply work within the system and trust that the pieces will work as described.

While I had the โ Two Napkin Brisket Sandโ today, I can say the French Dip is near second to none, including my own.
