QuickBooks Online Pop up ads while I'm in the middle of working has got to be the worst thing about modern QuickBooks.

Just so cringe! I'm a CPA billing clients hourly, a professional with a paid subscription FFS, and I'm getting pop up ads?? Is this TikTok or QuickBooks? Wild how terrible QB has gotten over the years.

QuickBooks Online Can't import from .csv anymore?

When I go to Import Data > Journal entries it takes me to spreadsheet sync instead of just letting me pick the .csv file that I've been using for years. Is there no way around this? I don't want to recreate the wheel every time I import payroll data.

All this thing does for me is add an extra step with obnoxiously slow loading times. Yay.

How do I become a bookkeeper/start my business? Finished and passed intermediate accounting. Is that enough to learn bookkeeping?

Is this enough to learn bookkeeping at a basic level with basic recurring transactions?

QuickBooks Online Refund for duplicate payment

Hello. My customer is requesting a refund for some duplicate payments they paid by accounting error. However the card they use to pay us are one time payment cards preloaded with the exact amount. Because it’s been over 90 days the card is no longer active and they want us to refund to a different one time payment card. Is there a possible way to do so in QuickBooks? Everything I’ve researched I have to go into each invoice and refund from their but it’s back to the OG card.

QuickBooks Online Timing for updating COA structure

I am working with a nonprofit whose chart of accounts is a mess. I have created a crosswalk of their current COA vs my proposed COA. I am debating about timing. I could cut over to the new COA before end of year but I am thinking of waiting and doing it first thing in 2027. They have a calendar fiscal year. This has the advantage of a clean P&L for all of 2026. I would like to resolve the impact on interfaces and such before end of year but it may be better to wait and leave any mess to January. I am hoping you can give me some pros and cons to either sets of timing
