I am going to get a flash drive for my roku tv so that I can pause and rewind live OTA channels. I see it needs to be at least 16gb and yes I know larger drives will not get me more pause time. But are there any benefits to a larger size? Would it run smoother? Less glitchy?

Short version:

I'm connecting my Roku Ultra via Bluetooth to an Ultimea Poseidon M60 soundbar. It's fantastic with no perceptible lag. However, if I pause whatever I'm watching for 5 minutes, it disconnects. With Autoconnect enabled on the Roku, it won't connect at all, even manually. I have to connect manually every time I watch TV. Not pairing, just click on "Connect" for the already paired device.

Long version, for those who need it:

I bought a Nebula projector. The Roku is connected to it via HDMI cable, but the soundbar is across the room under the screen. When I connect the Nebula to the soundbar, it works perfectly except the Roku remote won't control the volume and we have to use two remotes. Hence, I'm connecting via the Roku. All I want is for it to either stay connected or automatically reconnect when I restart video or turn on the equipment.

I've reset all the Bluetooth. The projector isn't paired to the soundbar, and the soundbar is only paired to the Roku and vice versa. Nothing should be hijacking the connection. The disconnect is predictable ... pause or stop for 5 minutes, and it disconnects, leaving "BT" flashing on the waiting speaker. I've turned off power-saving on the Roku. As mentioned, with auto connect set on the Roku, it goes into eternal "Connecting..." mode. You can't even manually connect. Auto connect turned off allows manual connection to work fine.

I feel the best setup would be to let the projector send audio to Bluetooth, if Roku could control the projector through the HDMI cable, which works with the internal speakers, but not through the projector BT connection.

Any ideas?

I’m trying to get the access code but the sign in pop up keeps showing up. I’ve used it before but it created a whole new account under a my email instead of signing me in.

I recently got a 4k stick and it disconnects from wifi multiple times a night. Sometimes it works itself out and sometimes it’s every 5 minutes. Everything is plugged in and it’s right next to the modem.

Any suggestions for a fix? Or is my stick maybe just faulty? Thanks

I'm trying to connect from my MacBook Air, and even though my video player will say it's connected, my TV will continue showing the AirPlay home screen. Been trying to fix it for a minute; has anyone else had this issue?

Me ( 24F) Today is October 27th the Roku is all Halloween themed, and I was lookin like really close at it I also need glasses so keep that in mind, I don't wear them cus I think they are ugly) but I was noticing a few things, y'all notice that one of the only places to stay are like scary haunted houses, And like a spaghetti store? Do you think the rent is higher at the spaghetti store or haunted houses? Further more, my friend turns to me and says " I'd love to live in Roku city" I wanted to agree with them. But in my heart I know he's wrong. It's a scary place. Like the only people you see are in cars and or locked away in their apartments. (I haven't seen anyone in the haunted houses). The streets are clearly unsafe. Well there's like big machines trying to kill you in the background (also Roku city) and an alligator and the pyramids. My friend would go near the pyramids which is why I know he's a fool. I would never go near the pyramids. I feel like it's very similar to where | live. There's advertisements everywhere. There has been an issue for a few months where only the YouTube app has audio sync , audio cut out, etc issues on Roku ultra 4850 (2024) models. Has anyone heard of when this is getting officially addressed by Roku? Currently on 15.3.4 (latest available) and the issue still persists. I heard there is a 16.0 coming soon but not sure if this particular issue is getting addressed there or not.

Hi, I have already tried everything possible:

- Restarted the TV + stick via settings and unplugged them for longer than 5 minutes
- Checked for system updates
- Executed the clear cache command
- Completely reset to factory settings (so storage cannot be the issue)
- Therefore re-established the internet connection
- Deleted the account and registered a new one
- It cannot be a region issue either, as it works on the TV's Google TV

The only way to interact with Disney+ is by pressing the highlighted button (in the pinned picture) on the remote control. After, that error message appears.
Shouldn't "Disney+" appear here instead of ""?
I appreciate any help, thanks in advance.

If it is not possible to fix the error, unfortunately I will have to return the stick :/

I’m talking about the purple and blue animated city screensaver that appears on Roku TVs and streaming sticks. I feel like I see it everywhere, and there’s something strangely dreamy, nostalgic, and liminal about it.
The whole aesthetic reminds me of the old Windows XP Bliss wallpaper mixed with those purple-and-blue designs you’d see on water cups and random household items in the ’90s. It feels like a little window into a fictional world that you can only visit while nobody’s watching TV.
I’m curious about how other people see Roku City. What do you think of its architecture, colors, buildings, skyline, and overall atmosphere? Are there particular details, background objects, or hidden Easter eggs you’ve noticed? Do you have any favorite references or little things you look for whenever it appears?
I’m also curious about the technology behind it. Is the city essentially a prerecorded animation that loops, a collection of animated layers moving at different speeds, or something more complicated? How do the animations and changing details work?
And on a more personal level, does Roku City bring back any memories for you? Maybe seeing it at a family member’s house, falling asleep with the TV on, visiting someone’s living room, or just having it become a familiar part of everyday life.

I reset the tv, internet, batteries out and back on remote, re paired remote, and made sure CEC is enabled. All other buttons work on the app and remote. I have no sound coming out of my tv because it was muted last I used it and it’s super annoying that I can’t play the game I’ve been waiting to release that came out today. Any help appreciated

I have a TCL 55QM751G TV. I also have a voice activated Roku stick. I used to be able to command the tv to turn on with the voice activated Roku stick. After a TCL update I can no longer do this. It works fine when the tv is on but it powers off all the HDMI ports except ARC when off. My sound bar is plugged into that ARC port. There are no settings in the menu to keep these on so I can turn the tv on by voice with my Roku except ARC. Can't use that though because my soundbar is using that. It used to all work but now it doesn't and theres no options I can find except buying some kind of HDMI splitter and some other goofy cable combinations. Any ideas or an I just out of luck? Its not a big deal to turn the TCL on with the TCL remote and everything works from there with my Roku remote and voice activated stuff just wouldlike that one less step like it used be. I've been through all the CEC settings and power settings....nothing I can find.

I’m wondering which Roku streamer to upgrade to? My Tv is: LG, 4K, HDR 10, Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG). I. Thinking the Ultra, but the price has me wondering if the stick gives the same results? Or should I upgrade to the Ultra? I currently have a Roku Express with multiple issues. My biggest concern is overheating.

I am using HIRO Roku TVs to loop a YouTube video in a couple offices. The videos will loop for about 4 hours before returning to the home screen. When I reopen the YouTube app, the app goes right back to the video.

I have disabled all of the power save functions, screensaver, and bandwidth saver. The video is set to play on a continuous loop in YouTube. We want this to be a continuous loop that does not require a human to restart it. Did I miss a setting?

I’ve searched and can’t seem to find an answer, I use YouTube daily to watch certain videos, but I don’t want my daughter on YouTube. Is there a way to restrict that access or am I not going to be able to and have to just try to enforce it

Reuters channel is missing in live tv today. Is it just me?

Trying to hook up an older Roku stick to my TV and when it tries to install final updates I keep getting Can’t connect to network message.
The remotes I have are not working and the Roku app is not recognizing the stick so I can’t go to network settings or restart the device.
Any thoughts on how I can fix this. My Roku 4k stick broke so I had to go back to an older one I had. Not even sure what model it is.

Is there any way to fix this problem? Everyday and multiple times a day I’ll be watching, then it says I have no internet connection, I go to reconnect and it says it cannot find any connections. The only thing that works is unplugging the tv turning it back on, and it automatically connects back.

I’ve had the Roku Express for longer than I can remember. It’s been having some glitches lately. Is it time to replace Roku Express based on the Model Number & Software Version? If so, which new player do you recommend?

The UK's daylight saving time ended on Sunday. However my Roku TV is still showing an hour ahead of what it should.

If I set it to UTC+0 manually some my streaming apps won't load because "I'm not in the UK".

Has anyone else had this issue and found a fix, or do we need to wait for Roku to update their time servers?

Seems a very silly problem to have given daylight saving is common.

Weirdly I also have a Roku 4K stick elsewhere and that shows the right time.

I just bought a new Roku tv and whenever I try to use headphones/ a speaker it will switch back to the tv speakers. The main issue is that when it switches back the volume is at 50. Now I’m afraid to use any Bluetooth device cuz I feel like my tv will start blasting out of nowhere. Has anyone else had this issue?
