Today’s update brings a massive focus on Food, Dining, and Drinks! We’ve packed in more than 150 bug fixes with a significant portion directly targeting your culinary and dining experiences (including over 25 long-awaited fixes for Dine Out!). We honestly can’t thank you enough for all of your valuable feedback and reports via Discord, the EA Forums, and right here on Reddit.

To make things even sweeter, we’re also dropping a timeless collection of free Elder-themed Create-a-Sim and Build Mode items to the base game. It’s the perfect time to give your seasoned Sims a stylish glow-up and cozy up their living spaces!

What’s New?

• Free Content – Classic Elder Looks & Cozy Nooks: Cozy cardigans, elegant dresses, timeless hairstyles, and charming vintage furniture! This drop includes 11 new Build Mode items, 4 CAS assets, 5 recolors, a brand-new Styled Room, and 4 Styled Looks. (Plus, you can grab the household modeling these looks directly from the Gallery!).
• Player Control over Muscle & Weight Changes: Toggle muscle and weight changes globally across your save file in Game Options, or individually per Sim via new self-interactions. (Note: This does not apply to pets/horses).
• The Culinary & Food Overhaul:
  • By popular demand, the "Open" interaction has been moved to the very front of the Fridge pie menu!
  • Comprehensive tuning pass on calories and prices across the Base Game and all packs.
  • Improved leftover autonomy, hungry Sims will now actively prefer eating leftovers in the fridge rather than cooking brand-new meals from scratch.

• Top Community Fixes: Resolved infinite loading screens caused by excessive use of the moveobjects cheat, fixed the infinite white screen when loading specific saves, and resolved the visual corruption issues where Fairy Sims would turn black after a Werewolf bite.

I know this has been said many times, but it's popped up yet again in my gameplay and is frustrating me again, so here I am to vent about it.

Why is it that my sims have to buy Always Welcome to be welcome to do normal daily living activities in their own parents' house? Mom, you BEGGED ME TO COME OVER, then when I do you kick me out for making a sandwich in my childhood kitchen? Please make it make sense.

I can buy Always Welcome, that's not the issue. The issue is I don't want to always be welcome everywhere with every sim. I DO think it isn't unreasonable to be welcome in the house I just moved out of five minutes ago.

It's a minor annoyance (in the grand scheme of annoyances in The Sims), but I don't understand why there can't be some levels of welcome/not welcome depending on families and who's related to who.

Has anyone, or yourself, made you as a sim before. I personally haven’t done myself, but I was wondering since we all play differently and I am intrigued about different play styles.

I say this because one of my closest friends many years ago made me one time and gave me the trait of “erratic”…. ERRATIC. I mean they weren’t wrong, but girl when I think about it I’m still humbled by it to this day

I’ve been procrastinating on my Sims a lot so I decided to hop on after a while and make a new sim. This is the girl I created!!
I wanted to mess around with a few of the new maker packs so I used a total of five of them and she turned out really pretty!!
I did use a bare sim that was completely bare to start, and the base sim had come from the creator: aimstrustnoone, on the game.
I used a total of 22 packs and 5 maker packs to create this sim. The outfits I’m sharing of her are her first Everyday outfit, her first and second Party outfits, and her first and second Hot Weather outfit, in that order.

Using Sims and lore friendly examples to teach how to animate for The Sims felt poetic.

I've been working on this tutorial for a while now, it's mostly already out so I thought I'd share. I will still add a few more parts to it, but it's already useful to anyone who's curious about the subject. It is more focused on principles than a step by step guide.

Btw, a couple of these are examples of what NOT to do, lol.

P.S. Given that you're essentially making magic, giving life to inanimate pixels, and that half of them are occults, or wearing costumes, or are the Goths, and that it's that time of the year, I thought this song was fitting.

As someone who plays on console, specifically Xbox, marketplace has been really nice to see actual CC makers make things and put them out for us to be able to have in game as well but I feel like it's lacking a bit.

We've recently gotten some pretty good female hairs and makeup and etc, but it's mostly clutter and furniture. I wanna see more things for toddlers, kids, and infants. Like a nursery kind of like the Storybook Nursery Kit or more kids clothes and especially more toddler, infant, and child hairs and accessories!! I just feel like there's sm content creators make for them, but there's none in the marketplace or in kits for that matter, and I'd love to see it.

Also, for men, we hardly have anything for them. We have a few kits that have like a few things in them for men, but nothing DIRECTLY targeted at them, at least that I know of (please correct me if I'm wrong)! I would just love to see more hairs and outfits for them because they already get so little and when they barely have anything anytime I have a boy sim I feel like I only have so much to work with.

Overall I just want to see more of these things either from EA or just in market place, I feel like it'd make a big difference, at least to me, to have these things and aren't big asks when there's already so much out there but just isn't directly put in the game. A while ago, I made my own version of the BFF household, and I ended up really loving how Summer turned out, so I wanted to share her!

This is just my personal interpretation of the character. I’m not trying to “fix” the original or say that my version is better in any way — I just had a lot of fun reimagining her for my own game, and she quickly became one of my favorite Sims to play.

I made this haunted house a few years ago and recently decided to give it a makeover.

Adam and Eve welcome all of their children into the world. With each new baby born, a new crystal appears, and the couple dutifully brings each one to the sacred stump.
But the real magic happens with the sixth and final child: when that last crystal is placed into the recess, the stump suddenly transforms and grows into a full, massive tree right before their eyes! Essentially, it becomes the ultimate tree of generations for entire "Simvilization."

Let me explain...

So Rhonda lives with this guy called Owen, they have been fighting since thanks giving last year over something they don't even remember- and they used all their money to buy this dream home when they were still on good terms.

They are toxic, but neither of them want to leave the house for the other.

Recently though- there had been a bit of tension, the wohoo kind...

Thats the only time they are not fighting. Well, there is only one way that ends- Rhonda found out she was pregnant, she was NOT happy. She cried and threw away the test- she is a ballerina, her body matters to her.

The real reason? she doesn't want to be a mum?? She cannot be a mum???

Owen on the other hand was overjoyed- he has always wanted to be a dad, and he felt like this was his chance. He was even willing to make up with Rhonda and apologise for ever breathing too loud or whatever nonsense she was mad at him for that week.

They went to one class a month later. Rhonda was showing. She also stopped on her way from the store to buy a pair of beige stockings, tiny enough to fit a baby...

Then- while Rhonda manned her food stall, she felt something wet trickle down her thigh, and her stomach felt... wrong.

That was when she and Owen made the tense ride to the hospital, and hours after futile surgeries- the doctor delivered the sad news...

Owen is devastated; Rhonda was too- but she feels guilty about that. I mean, she didn't want this kid; now she feels hollow?

Rhonda wonders deep inside wheather if she is given another chance, she would want a baby of her own- and her answer is slowly leaning to- yes.

Took over the furniture store and jazzed it up. The window display is my favorite part.
