St. Louis Blues ācondemnā the āIsrael killsā banner at a game on October 22.
The time between the actual banner being unveiled at the game on the 22, and the statement being published today, gives the game away. This ācondemnationā is brought to you by the genocidal Zionist organizations in STL who freaked out about this on social media for days.
The organization knows the banner wasnāt antisemitic, if it was, they would have condemned it that night.

PAYWALL Letter: Support Amendment 6 to prevent legislative reversal of citizens' will
In 2010, Missourians voted to regulate puppy mills. The following year, state lawmakers passed a bill revoking much of the new law. Since then, Missouri politicians have repeatedly acted to override initiatives that have been passed by the voters. In the past 16 years, the Missouri legislature has tried to nullify the will of the people 10 times, succeeding in seven of those attempts.
This pattern of nonsense is equivalent to a waiter bringing you liver instead of the pizza you ordered because he thinks he knows what you want better than you do. Missouri Amendment 6 can put a stop to these shenanigans. It is a non-partisan provision that prohibits politicians from overturning our votes, protects our right to pass citizen initiatives, and requires ballot language to be clear and accurate. Vote "Yes" on Amendment 6 on Nov. 3.

Mail all over I-170
looks like a mail truck lost a shit ton of mail all along the 64/170 switch, heading north on 170. good luck if yours was in there. The truck was further down with the driver standing on the side of the interstate, looking like he was contemplating his life choices

Ann Wagner: Poverty and the ONE BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL
Medicare Cuts! Medicaid Cuts! Food Stamp cuts! All brought to you by DONALD TRUMP, ANN WAGNER , and ONE BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL that gives $1 to the top 1% for every $1 taken from these Social Welfare programs. Taking from the poor to give to the rich - the top 1%. The American way, right?
According to a 2025 Forbes article (online), Being in āthe top 1% requires a net worth of $11.6 million to $13.7 millionā. So it is a legitimate question to ask - who does Ann Wagner really represent - the super rich or the constituents of the 2nd District, 99% of whom are not in the top 1%? Has Ann Wagner personally benefited financially from the passage of the ONE BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL? Do the voters have a right to know the answer to this question?
The Bible emphasizes Jesusā compassion and care for the poor and marginalized in society. The ONE BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL that Donald Trump and ANN WAGNER so gleeful crow about is nothing but MAGA contempt for the poor, the marginalized and disabled.

News Rolla's jail has housed hundreds of ICE detainees. There are now only 5 left
It is unclear whether the sudden transfers signal an end to the jail's arrangement with ICE, a facility that has historically held people detained in the St. Louis area. Phelps County Sheriff Michael Kirn, who is in charge of the jail, did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

Visiting St. Louis Nerd shops in St. Louis?
Howdy! I'm from Ohio and will be visiting St. Louis in January for a convention. I tend to try and find cool/nerdy shops whenever I go to another state/city to add to my statue collection. Mainly Dragonball or Spider-man.
Do you guys have suggestions on where to go? Thanks in advance!

Traffic/Road Conditions 45 minute standstill between 64 and 170
Around 12:30 I was driving just as UPS employees were heading out with huge carts to remove the mail that had fallen out of the back of a truck. I'm also talking to someone who has been at a standstill on the 64 ramp to 170 for the past 45 minutes.
I would avoid at all costs.

Enrollment gains at both SIU campuses help Illinois reach highest total since 2015
Good to see growth over at SIUE, even amid a national enrollment crunch.
With the MetroLink extension to MidAmerica wrapping up, itād be awesome to see the state of Illinois start thinking about MetroLink to SIUE/downtown Edwardsville.

Can we start holding local events to a higher standard when it comes to vendors?
TLDR: I'm tired of local vendor markets being overrun with dropshipped junk, generic 3D prints, and laser engraved crap. Nothing against the tools themselves, but I'd love to see more originality, actual craftsmanship, and local STL talent instead of the same mass produced stuff at every event.
I feel like over the past year, a lot of the local events I've been to that have vendors have been overrun with one of three things:
- Dropshipped crap
- 3D printed crap
- Laser engraved crap
It's frustrating seeing the same stuff over and over again when browsing vendors at these events. The people selling 3D printed stuff are probably the worst offenders, imo. So many of them are just downloading models off the internet and printing them to sell, sometimes even using models distributed under licenses that explicitly prohibit commercial use. Obviously, not everyone is doing this, and some people do have the proper licensing, but it's frustrating seeing so little originality.
And before anyone comes at me about hating 3D printing, I own a 3D printer myself. I think it's an incredible technology, and I have absolutely nothing against people building a business around it. But when I got my printer, I actually sat down and learned how to use modeling software so I could design and create my own stuff. There's a ton of free software out there to learn with, so it's not like you need to spend hundreds of dollars on software just to get started. It takes time, effort, and a willingness to learn, sure, but that's kind of my point.
There's a huge difference between someone who takes the time to design, prototype, and create an original product and someone who downloads a model off Thingiverse, prints 50 copies, and sets up a table selling them for $20 a piece. And again, there's nothing inherently wrong with selling prints of someone else's designs if you have permission to do so. I just wish there was more actual creativity involved.
Then there's the waste aspect of it. We already have a massive plastic pollution problem. According to the UN, the world generates roughly 400 million metric tons of plastic waste annually. The OECD found that only about 9% of global plastic waste was actually recycled in 2019. NINE PERCENT. The rest was landfilled, incinerated, or improperly disposed of. Do we really need to be pumping out even more plastic junk that's probably going to end up in a landfill after someone gets bored with it?
I'm not saying 3D printing itself is inherently wasteful. There's a ton of genuinely useful stuff you can make with a printer, including things that can extend the life of other products instead of throwing them away. But endlessly producing plastic trinkets just because they're cheap and easy to print seems pretty unnecessary when we're already drowning in plastic waste.
And to be clear, my issue isn't exclusively with 3D printing. The laser engraved stuff and dropshipped products are part of the same problem. There's only so many times I can walk past the same engraved tumblers, cutting boards, articulated dragons, and mass-produced jewelry before I start wondering what happened to all the actual artists and craftspeople.
Point is, I think we should push our local events to do better and actually vet the vendors they allow to exhibit. Pride STL this year was awful for this, in my opinion. I get that it's become a lot more corporate over the years, but it's a great example of how bad it's gotten. On the other hand, I think Tower Grove Pride was one of the best events I've been to in terms of unique art, local creators, and vendors that actually had something substantial to sell.
I want to see more local STL talent and businesses. More unique items. More stuff that somebody actually put thought, time, and effort into making. More soul in the things being sold. I want to walk through a vendor market and find something I haven't already seen at five other events, or something I couldn't just order off Temu for three bucks.
I hope I'm not the only one who cares about this, because it feels like it's just run rampant lately. If other people feel the same way, I really hope we can start pushing local event organizers to be more selective about the vendors they bring in and give more space to the artists, makers, and small businesses that actually make these events worth going to in the first place.
I'm not saying every vendor needs to be some master craftsman, but can we at least get back to celebrating some actual creativity?
