In the TWW? Here's your place to post all things symptom spotting and making it through the TWW. Feel free to connect with others on similar timelines, and discuss anything related to the TWW. Please do not ask if you could be pregnant, as only a test and a doctor can answer that for you.

Vent Why do I torture myself!

Had an IUI so now I’m in the waiting game…
However I decided to torture myself and take a test 5-6 days before my expected period (9 days after IUI). It was negative, but it could definitely have been too early to test.

Idk why I did it. I went into it thinking fuck it, don’t be disappointed if it’s negative, but maybe it’ll be positive. Of course I was disappointed when it was negative.

TTC journey — looking for advice and others who can relate ❤️

Hi everyone! I’m 24 and my fiancé and I have been trying to conceive for about 5–6 months. I’ve always struggled with irregular periods, although they were more consistent for a few years before becoming irregular again.
My last period was April 16–20, and I haven’t had any bleeding since. It’s now been almost 6 months without a period, and I’m getting frustrated and worried because having regular cycles and the chance to get pregnant is really important to me.
I’ve been tracking ovulation with LH strips and have had some tests get darker, so I thought I might have caught a surge in August, but I never confirmed ovulation. I’ve also taken multiple pregnancy tests, but they’ve been negative.
I had bloodwork done with my OB/GYN. My TSH was 3.87, FSH was 6.1, and my 17-OH progesterone was 52. I was told my labs looked good overall, although I’m still trying to understand what everything means. I haven’t been able to get the recommended ultrasound yet because of the cost.
I don’t have a PCOS diagnosis, and a previous ovarian ultrasound didn’t raise any concerns that I was told about. I’ve wondered whether stress could be contributing to my irregular cycles, but I don’t know for sure.
I’ve been taking a prenatal, CoQ10, and myo-inositol at different points in this journey, but I haven’t been consistent with them lately.
I’m mainly looking for advice from anyone who has experienced long gaps without a period while TTC, especially if you eventually figured out what was causing it or were able to get your cycles back. What testing or questions should I bring up with my OB/GYN? Has anyone experienced something similar?
I know everyone’s journey is different, but it would be nice to hear from people who understand how frustrating this can be. ❤️

Seeking Success 2 dominant follicles and a positive OPK

24 yo Fem with PCOS. After THREE years of trying and taking countless of supplements and medications, I finally have two dominant follicles and a positive OPK after taking 7.5 mg Letrozole and Estradiol.

I’m wondering if anyone has a similar story to mine? How many cycles did it take you to get pregnant? Send your words of encouragement and all the baby dust!

Advice Needed Letrozole Timing Help

Hi everyone! I’m doing my first letrozole cycle in about a year and I’m worried I rushed into assuming today was CD1 and I’ve screwed up this cycle!

I have always gotten my cycle early in the morning, so when I didn’t wake up to blood, I assumed it would start tomorrow. But as the day progressed, I was seeing light spotting when I wiped, which turned into red when I wiped and then I had a little on a pad this afternoon. But that’s it, no real flow like I was expecting. When I was wiping earlier and seeing the blood combined with the cramping, I assumed the flow would come this evening. So I already called my dr and scheduled my CD10 ultrasound.

Since it’s slowed down this evening, I’m worried today doesn’t count and I need to continue to wait before moving forward. Please tell me what to do!! I don’t want to bother my doctor but I think I should cancel my appt

Advice Needed Naturopath appointment

Hi, I have my first naturopath appointment tomorrow. For background I’m 31 with lean PCOS and have been TTC for 10 months but because of my irregular cycles have only been able to TTC about 5 times. Im on my second letrozole cycle this time 7.5mg, last cycle was on 2.5 mg and never ovulated :(

I’m really trying to figure out my root cause, which I think is likely stress, inflammation, high androgen driven because of some facial hair. If you were me, heading into this appointment, what labs would you advocate for getting tested? Open to any advice on what to ask for during this appointment? Thanks!

Abnormal HSG

I had my HSG today and my fallopian tubes looked good and open but they said there was a dull spot on my lower uterus/top of cervix that was abnormal. They said this could represent a fibroid/polyp/adhesion. I’m wondering if anyone had this and if you had any issues conceiving or maintaining a pregnancy?

Naturally ovulating

I just had my first medicated cycle and it failed. I am totally bummed about it, but I am one day closer to my success. I was about to ovulate on letrozole. However due to financial reason I can’t do my second round until December. I am currently on my period and wondering if I could ovulate naturally on my own.

Has anyone ever experienced this before? Had a failed cycle then naturally ovulated?

Advice Needed What to do if ovulating regularly but not getting pregnant?!

I’m 29f and my husband 26m have been ttc for 1.5 years. Through my oura ring and Mira I’ve been able to confirm ovulation pretty much every month but one anovulatory cycle. My cycle is typically 30-32 days with ovulation around CD19. My longest cycle this past year has been 36 days and my shortest 29 days when I did strictly carnivore.

I have an ultrasound schedule for next week as I was given an official pmos diagnosis last year for painful periods (which I still have), slightly high prolactin 27.4 ng/mL, and struggle to lose weight (5’8” & 178lbs). My TSH was 2.29 (but hasn’t been checked in a year).

We did an at home sperm analysis and my husband’s result were in a normal range although on the lower side.

After my ultrasound I’m going to get my labs done with Function. I’m considering metformin and other medications but it seems most women are trying to induce ovulation whereas I ovulate regularly but it is a bit delayed. Could I still benefit from medications? Anyone who is similar to me had success and what did you do?

Advice Needed Variation in AFC - what’s considered normal?

In July I had a total AFC of 34 (20, 14) leading to my PCOS diagnosis. Since then my total AFC at baseline scan has been slowly declining or varying:
July: 34
August:25
September: 27
October: 17
(None of these times have I had as high as 20 on one ovary)
My AMH in June was 15.8pmol (2.2 ng)

Is this kind of variation common with PCOS? Could this be a sign or declining reserve? Is this normal body variation? If I end up doing IVF I’m worried it’s on a steady decline

Seeking Success 1st round of clomid

Today my doc prescribed me Clomid. It’s my first round. We’ve been TTC for over 2 years and just taking metformin and track ovulation with LH strips(never had a positive strip) Anyone had success their first cycle? We’re trying 3 rounds of clomid before being referred out to a specialist. At that point we will stop. My cycles are irregular still ranging from 27-60 days. But she’s hopeful about it. Just want it to work finally

Doctor Questions - help me prepare?

Hi! 29F, first time TTC. I’ve been dx with PMOS for ~10 years now. I’ve been off BC since Feb 2026, and off GLP-1 since May 2026, TTC since May with no luck. Cycles were regular this year until this most recent month where I’m 40 days and counting with no period. I’m heading to the OBGYN in a few weeks to see about kickstarting some testing to get answers. I know I’m not at the 1 year TTC mark that they typically wait for, but I’ve talked with my PCP who is highly familiar with PMOS, she recommended chatting with my OBGYN.

If you’ve had similar experiences to me, what questions would you ask, and what sorts of solutions would you ask about? I’m really down to try anything, I just don’t want to be waiting and waiting with no answers, especially knowing I’m predisposed to having a little more difficulty due to my dx. TYIA! <3

Seeking Success PCOS and low sperm count from my partner

My husband (35) and I (29) have been trying for 11 months now. I have PCOS but I ovulate normally and my cycles are around 31-33 days max, we were trying with no success and thought it was me but my husband just recently did his SA and it turned out it’s not looking great on his side either. Very low sperm count, high viscosity and 1% mobility.
I’m just looking for couples with a bit the same picture and if there’s any success in the future for us? We have our appointment in two weeks but this waiting and looking every single thing online is making me crazy. I would like to believe there is something we could do.

Would you increase Let* dose if you only grow one follicle?

For those who take Let* for ovulation induction, would you stay on 5 mg if you usually only grow one dominant follicle, or ask your doctor to increase the dose?

I’ve completed 3 medicated cycles so far and have been ovulating on 5 mg. However, except for one cycle, I’ve only had one dominant follicle. My doctor prefers to keep it to 1-2 follicles, so he’s being conservative with the dosage.

I’ve asked my doctor about increasing the dose, but I’m wondering if it’s too soon to increase after just 3 cycles.

Would you stick with 5 mg since you’re ovulating, or ask to increase the dose?

Delayed ovulation w/ EWCM

SOOOOO confused, need help! I'm stuck in high estrogen/ delayed cycle on day CD28, usually I ovulate day 18. I've had gobs of EWCM and S.H.O.W. cervix for 10 days now. No remotely positive opk's and i've been testing 3x a day. I had a temp dip on CD24 with a relative rise, so I thought I had finally ovulated, and a 4.0 proov pdg test strip, but ewcm and soft/high cervix still here!

Cycle was delayed last month as well, i think due to low fat intake/ exercise. I added calories/ fats back this month and hoped that'd fix it- obviously did not :( is it possible to have such high estrogen signs for 10 days straight? If i did ovulate, surely they would've dried up by now... so confused :(

Letrozole 2.5mg

Starting me on Letrozole 2.5mg. I’ve never been officially diagnosed with PCOS but my AMH is 8.88. I have regular cycles and my blood work came back that everything else is within normal range. Every month I get a quick surge and “peak” on LH strips but no luck getting pregnant. I had an HSG done in 2023 and my tubes were clear and polyps removed. The ultrasound on my ovaries showed polycystic ovaries. Does anyone have any advice? What days did you start taking it? The doctor says I can start between days 2-5. I wanted 5mg but they wanted me to try 2.5mg for a couple months. I’m not very hopeful.

Seeking Success Finally ovulating on my own with PCOS! Anyone else have a similar experience? 🥹💕

I was diagnosed with PCOS in May after struggling with irregular periods and not knowing if I was ovulating, and I’ve been TTC since having my IUD removed in February. I’ve been taking metformin since May and recently increased my dose from 750 mg to 1,500 mg daily, and my latest progesterone bloodwork finally suggests that I ovulated on my own without letrozole! 🥹 Has anyone else started ovulating naturally after taking metformin, and how long did it take you to get pregnant once you started ovulating?

Advice Needed My PCOS Fertility Journey

Fertility Journey

I am 30 years old. My husband and I have been together for 7 years, during this time we have never used protection and I have never been on birth control my whole life.

Our form of “protection” is just the withdrawal method, but last year in July, we abstained from the withdrawal method and I ended up finding out I was pregnant in August. After finding out and having the pregnancy confirmed, I miscarried about a week after finding out and was possibly around 8 weeks.

I’ve had pcos for some time now and always struggled with losing weight. I don’t technically fall under the obese category, but am overweight by about 15-20 pounds. My doctors never said that the PCOS should cause significant issues with trying to conceive.

After my miscarriage, my husband and I waited to start trying again until January 2026. We have been trying since and I have not gotten pregnant.

After the miscarriage, I noticed my cycles started to get a lot longer and were anywhere from 36-47 days. I was able to regulate them again by limiting stress, eating more whole foods and sticking to my prenatal and other basic supplements. My cycles are now within the normal 31-32 day range and I typically ovulate around day 19. I have used my inito to make sure ovulation is confirmed.

I’ve spoken to fertility doctors and my OBGYN, they’ve done every bloodwork under the sun and nothing seems to be indicative of having issues conceiving. My ultrasound did show follicles on my ovaries and being a bit larger than normal, but nothing too crazy. (I’ll list them below for reference)

Here are test results from my bloodwork

Testosterone, total by MS: 36.2
Testosterone, free by ED-MS: 0.5
DHEA-S: 310.5
Insulin, total: 16.3 uU/mL
Hemoglobin A1C: 5.3%
Luteinizing hormone: 8.3 mIU/mL
Follicle Stimulating Hormone: 5.7 mIU/mL
Hydroproxyprogesterone: 38.41 ng/dL
Prolactin: 16.8 ng/ml
Anti Mullerian Hormone: 4.12 ng/mL
TSH: 1.02 mIU/L

These are all of my labs that were probably taken on day 10 of my cycle. (I think).

My doctor suggested I try letrozol, then IUI, then IVF based on how this journey goes. They also suggest I do a HSG test.

My question to all you lovely people is, does anyone have a similar experience as me? Did anyone have that “aha” moment where you figured out what was wrong? I’ve been working out, eating healthier, tracking my cycle, taking supplements and trying to lower stress.

Any comments or just sharing your journey would be greatly appreciated. I didn’t realize how lonely this journey would be.

Seeking Success TTC for 1.5 years, high AMH and testosterone, but ovulating. Anyone else?

I’m 36 and have been TTC off and on for 1.5 years. I previously conceived naturally at 21 and 26, and my pregnancy at 26 was with my current husband. Now we’re struggling to conceive again.
My cycles are usually regular (28 days), although I’ve occasionally had shorter cycles of 23–25 days.
Over the past 10 months, I’ve experienced light red spotting when wiping, usually before or around ovulation. It doesn’t happen every month, but it’s occurred in about 3–4 cycles.
My recent bloodwork showed:
AMH: 9.05 (previously 8.74)
Total testosterone: 51 (high)
Free testosterone: Normal
SHBG: 174 (high)
FSH: 7.4
LH: 8.3
Progesterone: 19.0 at approximately 8–9 DPO
I’ve been evaluated for PCOS and was told I don’t have it. From what I understand, SHBG is usually low in women with PCOS, but mine is actually elevated, and my free testosterone is normal.
I was initially worried I wasn’t ovulating because my Proov tests kept coming back negative, but my blood progesterone was 19, which strongly suggests I did ovulate.
My doctor recommended an HSG and a semen analysis for my husband and mentioned possibly trying Clomid.
My biggest question is why I’m not getting pregnant if I’m ovulating and my ovarian reserve appears good. I know my tubes and my husband’s sperm still need to be checked, but I’m wondering whether my hormone levels could be affecting my chances even though I’m ovulating.
Has anyone had similar results and struggled to conceive? Did you eventually find out what was preventing pregnancy, and what helped you conceive?

Other Little bit of funny to break up the exhaustion

Thought this group would appreciate this. I'm doing a monitored cycle using letrozole and I got the call from the clinic with blood test results that it looked like I was ovulating. The nurse then tactfully asked me if my partner and I had been.... interacting...I thought this was such a funny way to ask and I told her and she said she has spent the last 20 years trying to find a way to ask without it being weird!

I hope everyone is enjoying their evening and having well timed...interactions...

Advice Needed Were your letrozole cycles similar or different from one another?

I’m currently on my 2nd letrozole cycle (CD11), and I’ve been feeling more ovulation pain earlier this time around. I also noticed CM this evening, whereas last month I was dry. My LH is slightly higher on Premom vs last month, but it’s negligible.

I’m curious if your letrozole cycles were similar to one another or different each time?

I’m also doing a trigger shot for the first time! I’m going in tomorrow for an ultrasound to see how my follicles are maturing. Any advice/anything I should know?

Advice Needed PCOD girlies please help!!!

I am having PCOD and having a hard time figuring out my ovulation window. The ovulation kit always shows positive so it is of no use. CM tracking is extremely unreliable and confusing. I am tracking BBT as well but it only tells me when the ovulation window is over.

How are the other babes going through this dealing with all of this and how do you know you are ovulating in order to get pregant..

A little bit of back story..I have a cycle anywhere from 32 days to 45 days. Luteal phase is 12 days long. I had a chemical in January and post that I got PCOD making my cycles pretty bad. I started getting cystic acne and extreme mood swings. I have been trying to get pregnant for about an year now.

Please HELP!!
